The Foutain of Souls is the key to solving what happened to the Detective. You see how the gargoyle on the Fountain is watching us. It saw everything that happened. - "Water!" - is all the Fountain Gargoyle said. Well, of course, look! The Detective's reflection is in the Fountain of Souls! The fountain's water surface divides the world of the living and the world of the dead, like a mirror. Having looked into the fountain, the Detecitve fell under Dracula's spell. After gaining control of the Detective's mind, Dracula moved into his body and the Detective's true spirit is now locked in the underworld. So Dracula has found a way to enter the world of the living as part of his grand plan.
