- After reading the threatening letter, the lawyer would suspect the baroness of being unfaithful and would look at the folder. The folder contains the marriage contract she has already signed. The lawyer believes that she signed the marriage contract with him. What will he do if he discovers that the name on the contract is Count McGrave? Look in the Count's pocket for a fake signature stamp.

- Good! Put the Earl of McGrave's fake signature on the Baroness's marriage contract. When the lawyer reads this document, he will realize that the baroness has betrayed him. Her goal is to have someone else kill the baron and then place all of the blame for the crime on the lawyer. Then nothing will stand in the way of her marrying the Count and having it all.
