- Looks like the Secret Intelligence Service has started looking for a cure again. If we are to believe this letter, it seems that Colonel Gallahard had some special favor to ask of the Director of Intelligence. And as a gift, he sent an expensive jade jug from the West Indies. If we find this jug, maybe we can find out what that request was.

- Hmmm...from Gallahard's letter, this poor man was so desperate that he asked the British intelligence agency for help. He asked them to arrange for the King of India to marry Miss Peacock. In exchange, he made a promise to the agency directly under his command.
