- Finding paint doesn't prove that Giovanni di Fiori was here. It could have come from some merchant. If it really belonged to the artist, there would be evidence of its use. Take this pigment, for example. This pigment is used only after it's been ground into a powder, right? We need to find that tool. What do you call it... a kneading stick for pigments.
