- To start the tea ceremony, we need a common bowl called a chawan. Those taking part in the ceremony should follow certain rules when drinking from the bowl... I’ll tell you about them later, but first bring me the chawan.

- According to the rules, the host fills the chawan with concentrated tea and serves the bowl on a silk cloth to the guests. Everyone takes a sip of tea and passes the bowl on until the circle is complete.
