- I reported the theft of the brooch to the Sheriff's Department and also mentioned that the circus might have been involved in the theft, but Director Black would not take it up. He just said it must have been dropped off at a cabaret...but I don't think so! Now, let's check inside the big tent.

- Hmm, it's not as bad inside as I thought it would be. It seems to be a reasonably lively event. Spectators must have been attracted by the illumination and fireworks. However, it looks like they are still preparing for the show. I wonder how the members of the circus are feeling about not being able to leave the city? I'm sure they are by no means happy about it.
