Completed: The lotuses have drooped - the spirit siphoned their vital energy too. I read that in ancient Egypt, the lotus was considered a symbol of resurrection. The spirit must be from those times since it tried to grow into a tangible form with the flowers’ help. But their energy wasn’t enough.
