- This information doesn’t clarify anything about the chronometer’s owner. There were lots of rich people living in the City. But the figurine, being in perfect condition, gave me an idea. Find a measuring tape.

- According to Mrs. Hartley, the figurine was five feet closer to the chronometer than the painting. But it wasn’t affected. So the device must have been brought into the house recently. Maybe there were footprints?
