To save the detective, we have to keep investigating di Fiori and find out what the quintessence of an artist looks like. He had a drawing of a seashell next to his journal...the golden ratio! It's a snail, look for the nautilus on the patio!
Completed: This cup is decorated with nautilus shells! The golden mean makes perfect shapes. I read somewhere that da Vinci used the golden ratio in his paintings. I wonder if the danger of an artist's talent is the mind's quest for perfection?
