- It's strange how Alan's dog, Hector, recognized me right away. Alan used to leave Hector with me when he was away from home for a few days. I might still have some of Hector's toys somewhere. I wonder if Alan will remember everything if I show it to him. I'll look for it.

- My gosh, it was Hector's first toy. It was also the toy Hector used to pull Alan out of an icy lake one winter when he fell in. Alan held onto the rope and Hector pulled him out with a ball in his mouth. Could this toy bring back memories?
