Description: The shrine dedicated to Suzaku must be built on top of the mountain, facing exactly south. Furthermore, the entrance must face east so that the sun shines in at sunrise. Let's use a compass to find the best place to build the shrine. Can you help us find it?
Completed: This compass, also called a "shinan," is literally meant to point south. The mechanism is that when you rotate the lengua in the middle, the arrow stops pointing south. The arrow was chipped and the lengua itself was pretty worn out, so I had to install a vermillion feather in its place.
