- Salem has offered to take him in once Max completes his sentence in the maze. He will spend the rest of his life serving the residents of this city and will be properly taken care of. I'd like to give him a gift of some kind, a twilight horseshoe, if you will.

- I thank you! I put some good luck magic on this horseshoe and put it in this hotel a long time ago. I'm going to make four more, using this one as a model. Max is a knight, so he will need a trusty horse.
