Rune of Silence

Thank you, Valerie. Now I know what we encountered. This anomaly is known as Sinister Shadows. It's a bit like Night Terrors, but even more dangerous. However, the way to deal with it was found long ago as it causes much trouble to treasure hunters. You can banish it using the Rune of Silence but Martha doesn't have it. You might find it in the Manor House but the Mistress is unlikely to part with it willingly, so you'd better sneak in at night.
According to the anomaly description, the Rune of Silence looks exactly like that. Let's hope the Mistress won't notice its loss. It's hight time we cleansed the City of the Sinister Shadows.

The City is very logical, although not everyone will catch its logic. It's especially true for the interaction of elements and substances. For instance, the Iron Gargoyle can be banished with a magnet, the Fire Fury can be put out with water... The Fire Mummy probably fears water, too, but before we risk approaching it too closely, I'd like to seek Martha's advice.

Now I understand why the men of Ancient Greece fell in love with Aphrodite's statues. Her beauty is simply entrancing. Or is that part of her divine ability to control wild beasts? In any case, this Statue of Aphrodite has every right to be in the City. The myth about the golden cup of the goddess, that gives eternal youth to anyone who drinks from it, is very relavant here.

Apollo is one of the most respected gods in history. He was considered to be the helper of people, protector from illness and evil, healer and patron of art as well as the leader of the muses. I hope that Apollo's statue will inspire the citizens to be creative and terrify the Demons of Vices.

The Light from the Darkness

The houses in the fog are empty and dark, but I saw one whose windows glowed red. To confirm that such a house exists and that I was near it, I brought a crimson lamp from its porch. It is around here, find it.
This lamp continues to emit light, although there is no fire or crystals in it. A crimson fog swirls inside it. I wanted to understand how it works, but Fabien could not explain it, and there is nobody else I can ask.

This crystal is just an expensive piece of jewelry. I decided to fill Angelique's real heart crystal with Anna's soul. I couldn't take a chance using my own: this equipment is experimental, so you never know... But I installed it and tried to connect it as the Puppeteer used to do.

Anna didn't believe that dolls could come to life, but, while hiding in the workshop to admire Angelique, I saw the Puppeteer conducting experiments to revive his dolls. He used unusual mechanisms. I brought one of these from the abandoned workshop, find it.
This mechanism was part of the equipment with which the Puppeteer charged special crystals, as if transferring part of his soul into them. He put a charged crystal into the doll lik ea heart. Truth be told, the dolls didn't always come to life for long, but his experiments continued.
