Hidden City Walkthrough

Quest

These are the story/quests featured in Hidden City. There is a vast number of stories, and please note that the order and categories are unorganized, so it might be a bit difficult to navigate. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Belgian Mind

    Isabelle

You probably couldn't find a person who hasn't heard of Hercule Poirot, with his famous moustache and egg-like head. One of the most important things Poirot cared about was looking after his mustache. Scissors and a Comb are the main tools of this famous detective.

It turns out that Poirot’s moustache comb was made of some sort of eastern wood and designed to order. I wonder if the scissors were also made to suit his specific preferences?

    Room of Fate

  • American Detective

    Isabelle

Another famous detective was C. Auguste Dupin. Find his Top Hat and Cane - these were the special items of his wardrobe.

Detective Dupin with his Top Hat and Cane was a true dandy in retirement. But no one could deny the sharpness of his mind.

    City Hall

  • Deductive Method

    Isabelle

A mysterious thief took these items. To find him, we'll have to summon the talents of world-famous detectives to assist us. For the ritual, we'll need personal items from each detective. To start with, bring me Sherlock Holmes' Cap and Pipe.

Sherlock Holmes could have become a lawmaker of fashion - his checkered English cap had a horde of admirers.

    City Hall

  • Showing the Invisible

    Martha

Have you collected all of the items from the invisible Cardsharp yet? What’s this, the people can’t remember what Cardsharp looks like? He has that kind of face, and all the trouble he causes... Oh well, I’ll make him visible again. I just need to cast a spell and put a couple of drops of elixir on the smoked mirror. You should gather several artifacts.

There, it’s done. Cardsharp can look into the smoked mirror and become visible again.

  • Eyes Behind Pince Nez

    Valerie

What can I remember... Cardsharp never takes off his pince nez. I think I drew his eyes like that, with the glasses. Look for sketches like that.

What did I tell you - Cardsharp’s eyes are hidden behind his pince nez. On the drawing, I mean.

  • Enticing Eyes

    Valerie

Of course, I’ve tried drawing all the people of the City. There are sketches left over somewhere. I even have a sketch of Cardsharp’s shifty eyes. If you dig around in my pile of sketches, you’ll find it.

Do you really think these blue eyes with long, full lashes could really belong to Cardsharp? You’re mistaken. Keep looking.

  • Stylish Beard

    Detective

While I was investigating a couple of cases, I tried to train myself by drawing residents of the City. As for Cardsharp, I could only remember his beard and moustache. The drawing is around somewhere, feel free to dig it up.

This is the drawing I had in mind. All I could remember was his anchor goatee and handlebar moustache. I can’t remember his eyes though, he’s always hiding them.

  • Agile Hands

    Juliette

How do I imagine Cardsharp? Well, I remember his hands. As soon as I’m done with my chores for the Mistress, I’ll draw them. You can come back and pick up the drawing later.

Yes, this is just how I remember Cardsharp’s hands. I somehow don’t remember his face though - it’s always hidden under his top hat.

  • Drawing From Memory

    Martha

Cardsharp is invisible, you say? I wouldn’t mind if he was intangible as well... His greed causes so many problems. Very well, I’ll help. We need to draw Cardsharp as the people of the City remember him, and add something from his wardrobe too. Then I’ll perform a ritual. I remember well, his belt of secrets, with a belt buckle showing the suit of spades. Try to find it.

I think this is the belt Cardsharp always wears. Yes, this is definitely it. Here are the secret pockets and some spare marked cards.

  • Final Preparations

    Martha

Since you’ve found the plates so quickly, can you help arrange them according to my recommendations? We need to avoid conflicts at the mediums party. If you do it all correctly, you’ll get to see a little wonder.

The plates have been arranged and a wonderful cake has appeared in the centre. Have you noticed the cake’s unusual shape? A famous chef slaved over this masterpiece for three days. You’ll forgive me, but I can’t invite you along. It’s a strictly women-only party. But I can offer you my most sincere thanks and a reward for the help.

  • The Magnificence of India

    Martha

Another one of my friends is from India. She’s mild-mannered and doesn’t say much. I think she’d very much like to see an illustration of the Taj Mahal on her plate. Can you find one like that?

What a wonderful illustration! Someone put their soul into it. Depicting the Taj Mahal in a more beautiful way would be impossible.

    Room of Fate

  • An English Clock

    Martha

Another friend in my circle of mediums is a prim Englishwoman. We need to find her a plate with an illustration of her beloved Big Ben.

So many times I’ve had to listen to the same story about this clock. She wanted us to set our watches by Big Ben. What can you do? It’s the English way.

  • View of Paris

    Martha

For my psychic friend from France, please find a plate with the image of the Eiffel Tower on it.

Ah, Paris, Paris... Once, all of the city could be seen from the top of the Eiffel Tower and you could walk down the Champs Elysees.

    Station

  • Sphinx in the Sand

    Martha

One of my medium friends is from Egypt. I doubt I even need to give you any clues for this one. A plate with the image of a Sphinx is an irresistible lure.

You know, I saw the Sphinx when I visited Egypt. The illustration on the plate is a very good likeness.

    City Hall

  • An Italian View

    Martha

I’ve already thought of a way to designate their places. I won’t be putting down any place cards as this isn’t a banquet. I want to lay the table with cake plates, and each of them will have a picture on it, a symbol of a country. For my Italian friend, I need to find a dish showing the Colosseum.

The illustration on this plate reminds me of unfulfilled dreams. I always wanted to visit Italy and see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum... Believe it or not, I never once visited there in all these years.

    Room of Fate

  • Disarm the Enemy

    Cardsharp

Gentlemen! I realize my mistake. Becoming an assassin wasn't the best decision I've ever made. So I will gladly relinquish all the assassin clothes and weaponry. But it doesn't come off that easily. Would magic help, perhaps?

Finally, the assassin outfit has been removed! What a relief. But it wasn’t all in vain - I got the Cup of the Fog. With its help, you can explore areas shrouded in the fog without fear. Not for long it’s true, but I did manage to find a couple of oddities for you at least.

  • Catch the Enemy

    Huntress

Find a Bolas and throw it. Don’t let Cardsharp escape into the fog. We won’t be able to reach him there.

Well done! One throw and Cardsharp the assassin fell down with his legs tangled up. I didn’t think you’d figure out the technique so quickly. Take Cardsharp’s cloak off him while he’s unconscious. Martha said this will deprive him of his magical abilities.

    Castle Gate

  • Poisonous Attack

    Conductor

Instead of an open attack, the assassin threw a cobra! Hurry, catch it! Find a Forked Spear!

The cobra is stuck to the ground by the Forked Spear and is no longer a threat to you. Keep a careful watch on Cardsharp the assassin. I think he plans to slip away into the fog again.

    Castle Gate

  • Battle at Range

    Huntress

Careful, an arrow is flying towards you - lift up your shield. It looks like the assassin doesn’t want to accept open battle yet. You can try to hit him with your lance, but I doubt it’ll work. You’d better find a less honourable, but very effective weapon - a Sling.

Although you have no practice using slings, the fight for your life will force you to learn quickly on the battlefield. You can fire at the assassin from a great distance, without approaching the fog.

  • Drive Away the Fog

    Conductor

How did you feel when the sound of the horn broke the silence? Don’t let your guard down! Cardsharp the assassin hasn’t left the fog yet, but he’s sure to have heard you. Look, the fog is moving towards you! It’s an attack! We need to drive it away with something. Find a Fan, then together we’ll be able to handle it.

Wave the Fan faster! You’ve almost beaten back the fog.

    Castle Gate

  • Challenge to Duel

    Conductor

You look good on your Warhorse, friend. Now’s the time to ride to the edge of the fog and challenge the assassin, aka Cardsharp, to a duel. You need to find a Herald’s Horn first.

According to the rules of the duel, the start must be announced by a herald. In the absence of one, choose yourself an assistant to blow the horn. Be ready for all kinds of treachery. Honor has no place here. Keep your assistant close by.

    Castle Gate

  • Reliable Comrade-in-Arms

    Martha

The Huntress says that you’ve gathered all of the knight’s equipment. Are you ready to summon Cardsharp the assassin into combat and tear off his cloak? Well, we’ll see. Put on your knight’s armour. If she’s right, you’ll receive a comrade-in-arms. I hope you brought some magical artifacts with you for the ritual?

Your loyal helper has turned up - it’s a Warhorse. I can only wish you luck and add a little magical protection to these chunks of metal. Remember - you need to remove Cardsharp’s assassin cloak.

  • Defensive Disc

    Huntress

You did well for your first try. Let’s try something a little more complicated. Find a suitable Shield for the next training session before you fight the assassin.

Now hold the Shield in your left hand, the weapon in your right, and defend yourself! In ten days or so, I’d make a great warrior out of you. As it is, we’ll have to pin our hopes on Martha and luck.

    Castle Gate

  • Crusader’s Weaponry

    Huntress

The chief weapon of a mounted crusader is a long lance. The first strike is the most important - after all, it’s often the last as well. The second most important weapon is a long, straight sword. That’s all for the weaponry, I think.

It’s time for a little training. First let’s see how you handle the lance, then we’ll move on to the sword.

  • Safety for the Legs

    Huntress

The legs are a very vulnerable spot. For your fight with Cardsharp you’ll need special protection – Greaves and Boots.

How did you manage to find these Greaves and Boots so quickly? Did you bother measuring them at all? If not, the result of this battle is more than obvious.

    Castle Gate

  • Protecting the Head

    Huntress

In a battle with an assassin, it’s very important to protect your head. Find yourself a Helmet.

Never take your Helmet off in battle. Don’t expect Cardsharp to go back to normal when he sees you. He’ll try to kill you for certain.

    Castle Gate

  • Crusader’s Armor

    Huntress

Now you must search for a knight’s suit of armour. Find a Cuirass that fits you.

Have you tried on this pile of iron? If the Cuirass is uncomfortable, we could find you some chain mail instead.

    Castle Gate

  • Pacify the Fog

    Cardsharp

It seems that we’ve found all the pieces of assassin clothing. I’m so close to discovering the secret of controlling the City’s fog. Help me change clothes and feel like an assassin, and let’s get a little closer to the fog. However, we need to collect several artifacts first.

Oh, dear friend! I feel like the lord of the fog... Now I’ll try to play the pipe. You see it? The fog is moving towards me, it obeys me. I, Cardsharp, ruler of the fog and the City of Shadows. Now all the relics will be mine. But why am I disappearing into the fog? What’s happening?

  • Charming Cobras

    Cardsharp

We’re done with the assassins’ weapons. All we need to find now is a few things for the spell. For example, a Snake Charmer’s Pipe. Can you find one?

Keep this cobra in your possession. I can hold the pipe. I’ll need to use it later.

    Castle Gate

  • Strike from a Distance

    Cardsharp

I have another clue. Bladed weapons weren’t all the assassins had at their disposal. Bows and arrows were often the only way they could complete their missions, so they always kept them on their person.

A bracer and glove and of course, a bow and arrows... With a kit like this, a warrior can keep the enemy far away from them. But a weapon like that is no good to me at a card table.

  • Hidden Blade

    Cardsharp

Now we must find an assassin’s sword - the Devil’s Claw. A useful thing indeed, let me tell you. Especially when your opponent at the table is being uncooperative.

What an awesome deadly weapon. This hidden blade is called the Devil’s Claw for a reason. I wouldn’t mind learning how to use it... You know, just in case.

    Castle Gate

  • Assassin’s Belt

    Cardsharp

The assassin’s outfit always included a Red Belt. Do you know where to find one like that?

The red colour of the belt denoted a high-rank assassin. Low-ranking assassins couldn't use magic and were only students, so their belts were white or grey.

    Castle Gate

  • Assassin’s Cloak

    Cardsharp

You’re so impatient, my friend. I won a secret - I was told a legend about a group of assassins that knew how to control fog. This allowed them to move unseen. But fog in the City of Shadows is special - it carries relics! If I can control it, all these treasures will be mine! Or ours, if you agree to help me that is. We need to find the assassins’ clothing, then the fog will submit to us! The first item is a White Cloak - find it.

The assassins were a clan of eastern warriors. Using a cloak like this one, they could disguise themselves as monks, warriors or peasants and be indistinguishable from those around them.

    Castle Gate

  • Anti-Fear Medicine

    Mayor

Incredible! You found the possessions of all five heroes. Now we need to bind the aura of the items with a spell so that we get what we need - a Pill of Bravery to return Frau Huntress’s confidence and fearlessness. But you should find a few more artifacts first, I’m afraid we won’t manage otherwise.

Now that the pill is ready, there’s only one thing left to do - make sure the Huntress swallows it. I’m sure you can take care of this. Good luck.

  • Spartacus’s Daring

    Mayor

While we’re gathering up things from the brave heroes, we can’t forget about the gladiator slave who broke the Roman legions. I’m of course referring to Spartacus. Find the Thracian sica and you’ll understand how only a fearless warrior can wield it.

The sword’s unusual curve was specially designed that way. The sica was used to strike enemies hiding behind shields.

  • Indian Valour

    Mayor

The Native American’s had a brave man of their own. You’ll need to find the Headdress of Military Fortune, which belonged to the Indian chief Geronimo.

It’s easy to see from this headdress that Geronimo was a remarkable warrior.

  • Alexander’s Courage

    Mayor

The next item belonged to a legendary man - the unconquerable general Alexander the Great. Find his royal seal.

According to legend, Alexander never took off this ring, so it constantly absorbed the general’s courage.

  • Odysseus’s Bravery

    Mayor

Find the bow and arrow of Odysseus. Legends of his bravery and courage have been with us for many centuries.

Odysseus’s Bow hasn’t lost its quality over the years. They knew how to make things last in the good ancient times.

  • The Bravery of Hercules

    Mayor

I learned from Martha that ridding the Huntress of fear is very easy, especially in the City of Shadows. We need to make a Pill of Bravery for her. It isn’t too hard to make: we find things belonging to famous brave people, perform a simple ritual and the pill will be ready. You can start by finding Hercules’s leather bracelet.

Are you sure this is Hercules’s real bracelet? All the responsibility is on you.

  • Free the Crew

    Captain Drake

We have all the things that we need from the Flying Dutchman to break the "Curse of Eternal Wandering" and save my crew. Let’s take them to the shore away from prying eyes and lay them all out together. I’ll need a few artifacts, then I’ll say the magic words told to me by Amphira’s father, the Ruler of the Seas.

Do you see it? Smoke is forming! And now look - a ship’s nameplate marked Flying Dutchman has appeared amongst the items. We need to place it on the shore somewhere where it won’t be seen. Then the Flying Dutchman will be able to moor there.

  • Ship’s Lantern

    Captain Drake

Now find a Navigation Light from my ship. You don’t know what that is? It’s a lantern with red or green glass. They’re used to indicate the size of the vessel.

Yes, this is a lantern from my ship... I admit, I’m beginning to miss my ghostly frigate and its crew.

  • Secret Ingredient

    Captain Drake

Every ship needs a cook. The Flying Dutchman was no exception. And what's most important to the cook? A full spicegrinder. I was afraid to ask where he got his spices and what they were made of, but they made the food devilishly delicious. Find them.

I recognize the Cook's Spicegrinder… He said it held the secret ingredient that makes his dishes unforgettable.

    Hall of Weddings

  • When the Muskets Sound Out

    Captain Drake

The Flying Dutchman had the best weaponry - it was fought over in both worlds, living and dead. Find the old Musket of the Quartermaster.

A fine Musket! Ah, memories of skirmishes and boarding parties are flooding back. The sounds of shots and the cries of enemies - what could be better for a real sea dog?

  • Boatswain’s Whistle

    Captain Drake

Now find me the Boatswain’s Whistle from the ghost ship. Ah, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen the old Boatswain - we spent a hundred years in the same crew.

This whistle is also called the Boatswain’s call. The boatswain uses it to give commands. This is particularly necessary during a storm or boarding, when voices are lost in all the noise.

  • Time at Sea

    Captain Drake

First we need to find the ship's Marine Sandglass. What, you don't know what it is? It's an hourglass, but it only measures precisely thirty minutes. It's the first item we need from the Flying Dutchman.

A designated sailor on the ghostly frigate is charged with overseeing this sandglass. Every half an hour, he rings a bell. This is called "striking the watch bell."

  • Arranging Things

    Valerie

Oh, you've already got all the cartography instruments together? Am I too late to help? Let me pack all the instruments and arrange them beautifully. Round with round, long with long. I just don't know where to put the pair of compasses - they're sharp, after all. Look, look! When everything is arranged, some sort of amulet appears in the centre. But there isn't enough energy. Bring more artifacts! I hope we'll be able to save Cardsharp soon.

The amulet looks to have the eye of an eagle or a hawk. Does that mean we’ll be able to see everything all the time? Any obstacles, any hardships and unexpected troubles...

  • Wind Speed

    Alex

Another instrument we’ll need to bring aboard our aerial vessel is a Cup Anemometer.

Do you know what the Anemometer is for? It’s for measuring wind speed, of course. This way we’ll be able to determine which way the wind blows us. And if we keep a close eye on it all the time, we’ll always know our position.

    Organ Room

  • Measuring Altitude

    Alex

I read in a manual that safety when flying a Hot-Air Balloon depends on several navigational instruments. One of them is the Altimeter, or altitude meter. We need to get hold of one.

The Altimeter will be essential to us. You can only take a Hot-Air Balloon up to a certain height. If you go higher, a catastrophe is inevitable.

    Organ Room

  • Looking into the Distance

    Alex

I had another idea. While we fly through the sky in our Hot Air Balloon, we might see some new unknown regions of the City; if the fog opens up for a moment. We should take a Spyglass along so we don’t miss anything important at a very high altitude. Find one.

Fantastic! A powerful lens, elegant carving... This Spyglass was made by a true master craftsman. Now we can watch not only the land and its outline, but the roads and tracks as well.

    Organ Room

  • Drawing a Circle

    Alex

A Vernier Caliper can't be used in cartography without a Pair of Compasses. We'll need to find a pair.

My expectations were correct. A Pair of Compasses without any extravagances, as if straight out of the Middle Ages.

    Organ Room

  • Straight Lines

    Alex

To draw the map, we'll need some cartography tools. The simplest of them is the Vernier Caliper. Find one, please, and I'll think about what else we'll need.

You managed to provide the simplest of measuring instruments with a multitude of additional functions. It’s astounding.

    Organ Room

  • Travelling Provisions

    Alex

We've collected all the provisions for the hot air balloon flight. Put them into a net and we will hang them from the basket so they don't spoil. Also, don't forget about artifacts, the net will be tougher if we use them.

Thanks to you, the journey will be comfortable as long as the weather doesn’t turn bad. The balloon has been tested, the provisions are ready. What have we forgotten? We can’t afford to let any details of our preparation pass us by.

  • A Quick Snack

    Alex

We might want something to snack on between meals. I think some well-baked Pretzels would be just the thing. Please find some.

I’ll take one Pretzel with me, I think. We’ve gotten ourselves a nice stock of food for our journey.

    Enchanted Ball

  • A Chinese Dish

    Alex

I’ve just thought of something. Since we’ll have Water and a way to heat it, we’ll be able to cook something. I suggest Wontons. They’re little Chinese dumplings.

I won’t eat raw Wontons and there’s no sense in cooking them now. Let’s assume they’ve passed the quality test already.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Foundation of Life

    Alex

Apart from food, we need to make sure we bring enough Water. We’ll be flying over the sea and there’ll be nowhere to resupply. Please bring some clean spring Water.

Cold, tasty Water... Wonderful. We’re almost ready to launch.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Royal Burger

    Alex

Our food for the journey should be filling and varied too. Let's take a Hamburger along. A least one. It'll make for a good snack on our travels.

I'm getting a little hungry. We've tested the balloon, but we haven't tested the food yet. I'll just test out that Hamburger real quick.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Italian Food

    Alex

We worked hard to construct and test the Hot Air Balloon. But I’m sure you’ll agree we can’t set out on our journey without provisions. Let’s bring some Pizza along. We’ll be able to heat it up on the burner.

This Pizza looks very appetizing. Where did you find it, in the City? Even though I'm not hungry right now, I'd eat this Pizza right up.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Conquering the Skies

    Alex

We're almost ready to save Cardsharp. We've gathered up all the key parts. Now it's time to assemble our Hot-Air Balloon and perform some field tests. Real tests, in the air. Just imagine it!

Thank you so much for all your effort. We’ve got ourselves a fantastic flying machine. Light, reliable and capable of flying far away. What do you think, will we be able to leave the City of Shadows on this thing?

  • Mooring Lines

    Alex

There's another essential item for air balloon trips - Mooring Lines. When on the ground, the Hot-Air Balloon has to be tied to something to stop it from floating away.

Wonderful. Two skeins of rope! This should be enough for our entire journey.

    Collector's House

  • Fuel for the Burner

    Alex

I suggest we use Coal as fuel for the Hot-Air Balloon's Burner. At first, anyway. Later, we'll be able to top up our supplies with something else. Find some black Coal.

Which mine is the coal from? I ask because the quality is very good. When we run out of this, we’ll move on to firewood.

    Hall of Weddings

  • Heating Air

    Alex

Everything is going swimmingly. Now we need to find a Burner to heat the air for our flight. This is extremely important for getting off the ground and regulating our altitude.

What a wonderful compact Burner! I'll start installing it in the Hot-Air Balloon basket.

    Collector's House

  • Rattan Basket

    Alex

There's a certain type of plant - rattan. It's light and durable. You're going to have to use it to make a basket for the Hot-Air Balloon. It's what we'll be sitting in when you and I go out on our journey into the sky.

Wait, there’s no need to rush. I’ll just test this basket for strength, then we can attach it to the balloon.

    Manor House Gate

  • Hot-Air Balloon

    Alex

To create a Hot-Air Balloon, we'll need to find a cloth balloon envelope and soak it with tar.

Soak the Cloth Balloon Envelope very carefully. Don’t burn it! Our lives depend on the quality of your work.

    Collector's House

  • Saving the Captain

    Martha

Everything is ready to return the Captain from the spirit world. Let’s begin the ritual. Hear that? It’s the wind. It will pick up ash left by the Gangplank that Captain Drake used to leave the Flying Dutchman for the world of the living. The wind will weave a fine Curtain of Ash between the worlds. Bring this magical curtain to me.

All the spells have been placed on the curtain. Throw it over the open portal. This will free the Captain from the Flying Dutchman’s influence, and the portal will close.

  • Lowering the Gangplank

    Martha

When I open the portal to the world of ghosts, and the pipe sounds out, the Captain will return to the world of the living on the Flying Dutchman. We need to help him get to dry land. Find a ship’s Gangplank.

A Gangplank with decorated handles? Good, this way the Captain’s ghost will quickly leave the ship.

    Collector's House

  • A Call from the Shore

    Martha

To summon the Captain and force him to come to shore, you’ll need to find the Pied Piper’s magical pipe.

This pipe hasn’t aged at all over the centuries. I remember it just like it is now.

  • A Treat for a Dolphin

    Martha

Just in case the chest sank, I’ll ask for help from a marine postal worker - a Dolphin. But he needs something tasty to eat too. Go catch some fish, that’s his favourite treat.

I think one Bucket of Fish will be enough. The more food, the less it’ll desire to work.

    Collector's House

  • A Reward for an Albatross

    Martha

What was this gift the Captain had with him? A valuable chest full of surprises? Perhaps it didn’t sink, but is floating around in the ocean instead. Let’s look for it. I’ll ask a travelling albatross to fly over the water and search. If he finds it, he’ll bring it back. But he’ll need a good feeding beforehand. Find me some golden Ears of Wheat.

You think the albatross will eat the wheat like this, husks and all? Or peck at each husk? He isn’t a chicken. Grind the Ears of Wheat and make some grain.

    Collector's House

  • Talking to a Missing Man

    Martha

I’ve already thought on this puzzle. It seems the stars were in poor alignment for the Captain and he became a ghost again. And we facilitated it. I’ll try to talk to him, and you can help me. Find some old tailoring scissors, use them to cut a piece of Red Ribbon and bring it all to me.

Now get the Flying Dutchman’s journal from your cache. Don’t look so surprised, I know you’ve been reading it. Open it on any page, put the scissors inside, close it, wrap it in the Red Ribbon and wait. I’ll say a spell and the Captain’s ghost will appear.

    Collector's House

  • A Wonderful Residence

    Martha

We’ve collected the sea’s inhabitants so it’s time to put them in the Aquarium. Don’t forget about the artifacts. We can’t create a home for the Goldfish just by pouring in some water and putting some coral on the bottom. You will get a reward for your work, of course.

Just look at it, it’s so beautiful! An Aquarium with happy residents. The Goldfish clearly likes its new home. I made a wish to annul all of Juliette’s requests. I hope the Mistress gets better, and Alex finds his wallet and music sheets. You’ve done a good job and you deserve a valuable reward.

  • Magical Fish

    Martha

Well, it’s time to bring the Goldfish. Don’t even think about making any wishes on the way. We don’t know what kind of disaster it might cause.

You have the Goldfish. I hope you followed my advice and didn’t make any wishes.

    City Hall

  • Entertaining a Fish

    Martha

A Jellyfish would look perfect in the Goldfish's Aquarium. It'll be used to seeing things like that. Find a Jellyfish, but be careful not to let it sting you.

While the Jellyfiesh slowly floats up and down in the water, the Goldfish and Seahorse will be able to play hide-and-seek around it.

    Station

  • Aquarium Neighbour

    Martha

The Goldfish needs company otherwise it’ll be lonely. Find it a Seahorse for a companion.

Now that a home has been found for the Seahorse too, we can start thinking about entertainment.

  • Star in the Depths

    Martha

Let’s add to the beauty of the Aquarium with a Starfish. Bring one, please.

This beautiful, multicoloured Starfish will lie motionlessly on the bottom, and light will flow over its little arms.

  • Coral for an Aquarium

    Martha

A Goldfish? Very capricious creatures. Does it have a home? No? That’s what’s causing all these problems - the wishes are being fulfilled, but causing suffering to others. Make a beautiful Aquarium for the fish and it’ll mellow out. First, find some beach sand and Coral.

Pour the sand onto the bottom of the Goldfish’s home and place some Coral carefully on top in a Feng Shui arrangement.

  • Juliette the Ballerina

    Juliette

I think we have found everything needed for this Ballerina Outfit. I have one more tiny little favor to ask you. Help me arrange this outfit beautifully. Do you happen to have any little amulets to spare, to give the outfit a special aura? Rest assured, I'll repay the favor.

Thank you, mon ami. This Ballerina Outfit is beautiful. I can’t wait to start practicing again. Do you want to be my dance partner? You don’t like dancing? Well, I’ll have to convince the Detective. As for you, take this humble token of my appreciation.

  • Ballet Footwear

    Juliette

All that remains is to find one small, but very important part of the ballerina’s costume - Pointe Shoes.

I decided to watch Swan Lake the other day. The ballerina's movements were impeccably elegant. It looked as if her pointe shoes weren't footwear but a part of her body. But that's only how it looks from a distance. In reality, pointe shoes are worse than prisoners' manacles.

    Room of Fate

  • Ballet Tutu

    Juliette

The main item of the ballerina's costume is the Tutu. It reflects the style, taste, and charisma of the ballerina. Try to find one for me.

I knew you could handle it. This Tutu is the height of elegance and beauty. I’m overjoyed!

  • Hair Up

    Juliette

Now let’s pick up a Hair Net for the costume. Ballerinas can’t dance with their hair all over the place. I’ll leave this task to you.

Such a fine Hair Net. With each new item of clothing, I remember more and more memories from my childhood.

    Room of Fate

  • Silk Stockings

    Juliette

Another item from a ballerina's wardrobe is Stockings. I think I know where to find some.

Did you know that stockings used to be a male item of clothing? It’s a shame that went out of fashion.

    City Hall

  • Hourglass Figure

    Juliette

Thank you so much for agreeing to help me. The first thing I need for the ballet outfit is a Corset.

It feels strange to wear a corset again, but no matter - art requires sacrifice.

  • Banishing Nightmares

    Isabelle

Now that we’ve collected all the items from the Huntress’s nightmare, it’s time to perform a searching ritual. It won’t take long - the Werewolf Mirror that caused her dreams of the werewolf leader is somewhere nearby. Place the items from the Huntress’s dream together, add some magic, and it’ll all work out.

Great, the Werewolf Mirror has been found. Destroy it now and end the Huntress’s horrid dreams. As for what you get - gratitude and a reward, of course.

  • Ribbon in Her Hair

    Isabelle

The final touch on the Huntress’s dance outfit is a decorative Red Ribbon with something written on it. I don’t know where to search for such an item.

You managed to find the ribbon. It’s fire-red like the blood of the werewolves’ victims. You’re such a talented Discoverer!

  • Chic Stilettos

    Isabelle

In her dream, the Huntress was always wearing a pair of red high heels. They'll be easy to find.

I can’t imagine the Huntress wearing high heels. Boots, moccasins, barefoot, sure, but never high heels.

  • Red Fan

    Isabelle

Another recurring detail of the Huntress’s dream - she’s always holding a hand fan. It’s red too, of course. Bring it, if you could be so kind.

I was right – both the signet ring and the fan are both hand-made and of a high quality. I wouldn’t mind meeting the craftsman who made these fine things.

  • Sinister Trinket

    Isabelle

The Huntress also said that she’s always wearing a ring with a werewolf’s head on it in her dream. Please find it.

It looks like the signet ring was hand-made. It looks nice. Where did the werewolves find it, I wonder?

  • Scarlet Velvet

    Isabelle

We need to gather up the things from the Huntress’s dream in which she dances with the werewolf leader. She remembers what they look like, and when we find them, we’ll know where the monsters have hidden their mirror. The Huntress always sees the same pair of Red Gloves on her hands. Find them.

What fashionable velvet gloves! Why do the werewolves summon such thoughts?

  • Sculptor’s Masterpiece

    Cardsharp

It’s happening! Something is happening! The lion’s jaws have opened, and a little ring fell out. Is that it? One ring?! I was promised riches beyond my wildest dreams! Although it does look quite nice on my finger.

  • Decorating the Pedestal

    Cardsharp

I see some recesses in the base of the pedestal. Another decoration was placed here - an amulet with the heart of an animal. Where could it be?

Oh, it’s the Lion’s Heart Amulet! With this in the pedestal, the statue will look as good as new!

  • Decorating the Statue

    Cardsharp

According to the sculpture’s vision, there were three beautiful crystals made of quartz arranged around the statue. Without them, she’ll look pretty poor, don’t you think?

These are fine quartz crystals! The girl’s statue will be surrounded by them as if in a flower.

  • Base of the Statue

    Cardsharp

The statue must be placed on its own pedestal. It must have been reused a long time ago - I don’t see it anywhere around here. Could you please find the pedestal?

Are you sure this is the right pedestal? We can’t afford a mistake here, otherwise this fine statue will be unsteady, and my restoration efforts will be wasted.

  • Head of a Beauty

    Cardsharp

According to my informant, the Statue’s Head is with the Wanderers. We need to take a risk and try to barter for it.

The Statue’s Head sits perfectly on the torso where it broke off. The damage requires hardly any restoration.

  • Marble Body

    Cardsharp

I’ve decided to restore an ancient City statue that was broken long ago, single-handedly and at my own expense! I saw it the other day. It’s just gathering dust in the garden at City Hall. Could you obtain the Statue’s Torso for me?

Such incredible craftsmanship! What barbarian could have broken such a beautiful statue?

  • Gathering Fruit

    Alex

I have a suggestion. To avoid having to share our fruit with Edward again, let’s quickly put his share in a basket and give it to Valerie. From what I understand, you should completely agree with this decision. Valerie will probably thank you for this with a valuable gift as well.

I’m glad the Fruit Basket is ready. I’ll take the responsibility of giving it to Valerie or Edward. Doesn’t matter which, I suppose. The gift will make them happy. As for you, thank you so much for your understanding, patience and ingenuity.

  • Essential Pomegranate

    Alex

Unlike some, I think that you sometimes have to take care of yourself instead of others. How do you feel about pomegranates? They’re ripe, juicy and full of vitamins... We don’t know what surprises the City has in store for us, but a Pomegranate and its juice will always come in handy. Will you find one?

There we go. I hope Edward doesn’t like this Pomegranate. Then we can eat it instead.

  • Juicy Kiwi

    Alex

I suggest we help Valerie choose some fruit for Eddie. The first thing that comes to mind is a Kiwi. He’s sure to love this sweet fruit. Could you bring some?

Don’t worry about the kiwi’s green colour. There’s a sweet surprise at its core.

  • Vitamin-Rich Citrus

    Valerie

For Edward to stay healthy, he needs vitamins every day - so I make him freshly squeezed orange juice. But I’ve run out of oranges. Can you bring some?

Don’t you just love fresh orange juice? Then I’ll have to make you eat at least one orange before breakfast.

    Crash Site

  • Sweet Strawberries

    Valerie

Edward can’t just eat Cherries all day. He needs something sweet. Strawberries, for example. Can you find some fresh ones?

Wow, such ripe and sweet Strawberries. I might even add some to my ice cream.

    Santa's Workshop

  • Ripe Cherries

    Valerie

It’s a little awkward to talk about, but nobody has treated my Edward to something tasty for a long time. He really likes fruit, as long as it’s fresh and ripe. Bring me some Cherries and I’ll show you how he eats them.

Did you see? Edward doesn’t eat the cherry pip, he throws it away.

  • Grandiose Dessert

    Alex

We need more sweets to distract Valerie from her thoughts about the trip. If we take the time to find all the treats on the list, the Captain will never set sail. Our last chance to distract Valerie is a Semifreddo cake. Please find it.

Wonderful. A Semifreddo is a traditional Italian dessert. If anything can rid Valerie of the gift of speech, and stop her thoughts of the sea, it is this cake. I'm infinitely grateful to you for your help. I'll keep trying to convince Valerie to forget this silly notion, and I hope I succeed.
