Based on this model, wasn't the largest and fastest airliner that Case was going to build in the first place? But in the end, he poured all that experience into assembling an aircraft that would take him to the shadow city.

This arisaema is a luscious flower. But I don't sense any evil in it. Gallahard writes that he picked this flower on an island off the coast of Florida and got nothing else. But it was the luring sounds and whispers from the depths of darkness heard there that drove his companion mad.

How sad that the Titulis is a symbol of heartbreak... The Colonel's travel diary states that such a flower is not to be found even in the British Museum. Gallahard found it on the coast of North America. A research expedition had arrived there after searching aimlessly for the wreck.

He is asking the King of India to allow the marriage of the princess and Colonel Gallahard. He asks for a private meeting with the King of India for "more serious discussions.
