Hidden City Walkthrough

Quest

These are the story/quests featured in Hidden City. There is a vast number of stories, and please note that the order and categories are unorganized, so it might be a bit difficult to navigate. Thank you for your understanding.

  • small parts (e.g. of a story)

    Kira Woodville

If someone stole a document, who and how do they get it back? Why did the thief leave a blank piece of paper? There seems to be no hidden message, but maybe we can figure out where it came from? Let's examine the page! Ah, here is the evidence! Help us get it back!

Thank you for finding the bookmark. This is mine. When I was going through the case files, I tucked in a bookmark made from a clothing tassel and a paper clip as a marker. Hmmm...these papers are very old and yet my bookmark was here. Perhaps the thieves are trying to confuse us?

    Palace of Justice

  • Unlocking the Secrets

    Eli Montague

The documents from the courtroom are gone, leaving only a pile of blank paper. The paper must be very old, as it shows signs of having been tanned. Perhaps the document was written in invisible ink, as was routinely done in courtrooms. Let's find the heater and find out!

Oh, there was an ink heater? I know that people in the courtroom used invisible ink to maintain secrecy. So heating it makes it visible. Now let's heat the paper...hmmm...it's still blank. That's strange.

    Palace of Justice

  • Back to the way it was.

    Abbot Paku

Themis became ill and laid down her balance and sword. But in ancient Greece, the goddess was depicted with a cornucopia, not a sword. It was the Romans who gave her the sword. Give her back her original possession. You may like it better. Now let's find a suitable fruit!

It must have been difficult to find this precious apple. It is a very elaborate paperweight, but surely it would be a good substitute for a cornucopia. Now, put the apple in Themis' hand. It should be much lighter than the sword. The statue's vibration has increased, but she still seems to be grieving.

    Palace of Justice

  • feeling like traveling (travelling)

    Vera

For the residents of the city, the statue of Themis is an important symbol of a fair trial. So we must restore her strength to support the sword and balance. As you can see, she needs her rest. Let's replace the scary blindfold she wears with a 3D mirror! Once she finds it, I'm sure she'll relax.

It's a nice 3D mirror. This is for examining the photographs attached to the case. I brought a photo from the courtroom archives that was evidence in a case that had a statute of limitations on it, and it shows the city. The statue means I can't go on vacation, but I can now look at the city!

    Palace of Justice

  • green therapy

    Abbot Paku

The Themis statue is probably suffering because of the large amount of radiation emitted from the courtroom equipment. To mitigate the effects of this radiation, try placing a plant nearby that absorbs radiation. That plant can grow around the building or even from the walls. If you get them, I will find a place to put them.

You brought the young shoots! Fortunately, there was a kettle in the courtroom. We nourished the young shoots with the ether of life, and you have created a real "hanging garden" as in the Semiramis myth! Not strictly a "garden"...but still, the greenery should be soothing to Themis.

    Palace of Justice

  • Happy Goddess of Justice

    Vera

I've examined the statue and it looks like there is metal fatigue. She's been under a lot of strain and the little scratches are piling up. She hasn't come back to life, she's deteriorated. I heard a sigh, then a creak. Find the energy stone! I can increase her endurance with it!

That's quite an energy stone. This is the stuff they use in sentencing devices. There was a beautiful box left over after the jury tea party, so put it in it and give it to Themis. She deserves the attention. Apparently, the statue's misfortunes show up in a special way...

    Palace of Justice

  • Unusual Patients

    Abbot Paku

I would like to find the cause of her illness, but how can I examine the statue? She does not breathe and has no pulse. However, if we can listen to the vibrations of the metal, we may be able to determine her general condition. Find something like a gavel. Strengthen my stethoscope and examine her with it.

He skillfully combined a small mallet and a stethoscope! With this you can hear even the slightest copper vibration. Carefully tap the statue...hmmm...you can hear a very low vibration sound. Some of my patients have similar symptoms. What this indicates...is that Themis is feeling unhappy.

    Palace of Justice

  • Flight of Determination

    Alford Stone

I would love to see the court's ruling enforced. Because then Arcane will not be able to hurt anyone any more. Let's use one of my precious pearl collections, the Elixir of Goodness. It is in a jar with an owl decoration. Please help me find it.

Yes, the good elixir is it. Legend has it that the elixir releases the soul from the body and allows it to move through the spirit world and back again with ease. But our goal is to send Arcane into a new vessel and free Kindy.

    Palace of Justice

  • Reliable Design

    Pawnbroker

To free Kindy from the arcane, a memory vessel that can hold an entire personality is created from a large memory crystal. Please watch carefully as we prepare the field generator.

Success! The field generator is stable and keeps the personality in place. We set the vessel to negative vibration. Now we can attract the killer's personality... if Arcane wants to leave Kindy's body. Do you have a better idea to convince him?

    Palace of Justice

  • Firm grip

    Pawnbroker

Who's there? Oh, I forgot for a moment that you were there. The memory crystals are trying to absorb my memories, you see. The crystal is needed to remove Arcane's personality, but I would like to keep my memory intact if possible. To do this, I will need protective gloves. Could you please find one for me?

I almost forgot how to make a memory vessel. I'm glad you found the protective gloves. It means that the memory crystals affect you all as well. The crystal is so powerful that it can even absorb my personality. Put on the gloves and continue working.

    Palace of Justice

  • Delicate work

    Pawnbroker

Memory crystals are tough. In order to create a vessel that fits a personality completely, a large piece must be cut out of the crystal. It is important not to damage it, so precise work and special tools are needed. Let's find those tools together.

You have found a tool. Using it, we cut off a piece of the memory crystal to create a vessel to house the personality. It was only a matter of time before Kindy was freed from Arcane, who had been using her inventions for dark purposes with Kindy's body.

    Palace of Justice

  • Valuable materials

    Pawnbroker

So let's put my knowledge to use for the sake of justice, shall we? Oh, and for the sake of tax exemptions. Memory extraction techniques are reliable, but I have never used them on a split personality. We need your help. Can you help me find the memory crystals?

Great sample! Did you know that memory crystals generate a kind of "seed"? This is the material from which memory vessels are made. However, it takes a larger piece of crystal to maintain the personality of the arcane.

    Palace of Justice

  • dual personality

    Alford Stone

I deal in antiques and legends. The fact that Kindy has never met her "friend" and doesn't know about the arcane that is so similar to her own reminds me of one thing. Please have your aura pyramid ready. I saw it somewhere in the courtroom. Could you please find it for me?

When you look at Kindy through this pyramid, you can see his aura. Just as I thought. Kindy has two auras, one of light and one of dark! This means that his body is inhabited by two personalities. And the dark aura is trying to absorb the light aura.

    Palace of Justice

  • Sounds coming from the shell

    Angelique

The dog mask may have been a weak clue, but it did help me find another clue. As I bent down to pick up the mask, something glowed in the fog. It is a snail-like device. It is in evidence, so look for it.

Upon examination of the metal snail, I discovered that this was used to preserve audio. The device is inscribed "A.K.". It has been tossed and damaged, but the audio is still present. Please listen to it.

    Palace of Justice

  • fang

    Angelique

My next objective was to see if this energy anomaly had anything to do with Kindy. At first I could not find anything in the fog, but then I stepped on a dog mask. I have submitted it as evidence and you can give it to us.

This mask looks like a muzzle. It allows dogs to breathe through the fog, like Violet station staff member's dog, Alligator. However, this mask is broken and must have been thrown away.

    Palace of Justice

  • source of power

    Angelique

I looked for information, but there was nothing special about the place I followed the map to, just a house with red windows. However, I found energy flowers in full bloom. I picked some of them but they were scattered. Can you help me pick them up?

These plants are adapted to the thin soil and get all the nutrients they need from the air by absorbing the vibrations of the crystals. The stronger the vibrations, the brighter the bloom. Judging from the brilliance of the energy flowers, they must have grown near strong vibrations.

    Palace of Justice

  • Suspicious Place

    Angelique

The Kindy case was very interesting to me. As you know, I was created by a puppeteer. Therefore, the fog is harmless to me. I decided to investigate from where Kindy started moving the fog towards the residential area, where I found a strange device. Please see.

My conclusion is that this is a 3D map of the city, with specific locations marked in the fog. I could not determine if this was Kindy's or someone else's. So I went to the marked locations to investigate.

    Palace of Justice

  • wave motion

    Violet

Are you convinced that Adam is not the killer? Sure, people say they saw him manipulating the fog. Perhaps he must have been at someone's beck and call. Show me the helmet...there's a suspicious part. Try removing that part with an artifact.

This is a wave emitter using deep crystals. It calms the wearer's mind and suppresses the will. Director Black used a helmet like this for interrogations, but it turned out that the vibrations were impairing his memory. Someone was trying to subdue Adam.

    Palace of Justice

  • Cures for Melancholy

    Adam Kinde

I never harmed anyone! All my inventions were for a good cause. I even made a helmet for myself to cure my depression. Bring it to me and I'll explain the design.

This is the helmet of coolness. This one is a piece of crystal. Did you know that different types of crystals have different vibrational properties? I chose the crystals to get rid of the depressing thoughts out of my head. This helmet is definitely not going to hurt anyone!

    Palace of Justice

  • sleep medication

    Adam Kinde

I went to the doctor. But that doesn't change the verdict, does it? I couldn't sleep well, so the doctor gave me some pills and I took them all. It didn't make me feel better, but it helped me sleep. Can you find an empty bottle and bring it to me?

Oh, yeah, there were pills in that bottle. See, I'm not lying. I haven't seen a doctor since then because I couldn't cure my depression. That's when I started getting notes from friends, and I started making progress on my inventions.

    Palace of Justice

  • medical intervention

    Violet

The mechanical judge will always acquit Adam. He is not a criminal, he is just an inventor who is not in good shape. What Adam needs is treatment and medicine, so the best thing for him is to enter a sanatorium. Read this doctor's note.

Were you convinced? The doctors diagnosed Kindy with fog-induced melancholy. This would partially explain his isolation and memory lapses. Furthermore, the doctor even assured me that he was not a danger to himself. He just needs "watching over.

    Palace of Justice

  • sad (tragic, pathetic) memory

    Adam Kinde

I swear I have done nothing wrong. Yes, my parents disappeared into the fog and I lived on my own. They were looking for my missing brother. The only thing I need to remember about my brother is an old toy. Can you bring it?

It was my brother who made these toys. My brother could make anything...usually scary things. But I loved him. Now I have no one... except my friends! He writes me notes. Too bad he only comes when I'm asleep.

    Palace of Justice

  • survivor

    Violet

Even you don't want an innocent person to be charged with a crime, do you? It is my duty to secure Adam Kindy's release. I need your help in gathering evidence. Let's start with the family crest.

The family's coat of arms on Adam's residence indicates that he is descended from one of the city's most prestigious families. My parents used to be close to the Kindy family. Adam is the last of his family to survive the fog raid.

    Palace of Justice

  • Explosives Technology

    Adam Kinde

When I heard that crystal disease was spreading to the plants in the city, I decided to build a food synthesizer that would turn crystals into food. My friend promised to finish it. All you have to do is find the synthesizer and see for yourselves.

Be careful! Sure it's a food synthesizer, but what is synthesized from the crystal is a type of explosive, not food. That's not the plan! The machine has new parts on it. Obviously added by our friend... why would he do that?

    Palace of Justice

  • Inedible harvest

    Kira Woodville

During a search of Kindy's residence, another machine similar to the collector's was seized. Upon closer examination, it was discovered that it was the cause of the disaster that had recently brought the Upper City one step closer to causing a famine. Yes, it is a plant killer! See for yourself.

It is an absolutely horrendous scheme to use machines to turn fruit into inedible crystals. We blamed this crystal disease on the gatherers, but it was Kindy and her accomplices who were trying to starve us to death.

    Palace of Justice

  • short-haul flying

    Rayden Storke

Along with the collectors, Kindy may have been involved in another unsolved case. One night, a strange plane crashed into town, destroying multiple buildings. Help us transport a piece of that device to the courthouse.

Surprisingly, Kindy recognized some of the crashed equipment. He calls it a "rocket." According to him, Kindy had built a prototype that could travel quickly between the Upper and Lower Cities, but while he was sleeping, his "friends" took it away.

    Palace of Justice

  • Karakuri dolls that have escaped

    Kira Woodville

The archives of the Sheriff's Department have records of several unsolved cases similar to this one preserved in their archives. An example is the case of a mechanical doll that destroys houses and trees until they break. Let's try to find that one made of tinplate.

Thank you for helping us find the vandals of the mechanical dolls. The collector also built a similar machine, but Kindy claimed that he built it to help residents carry heavy loads. He stated that the machine was never completed, so it did not bear the "A.K." inscription.

    Palace of Justice

  • deceptive reflection

    Kira Woodville

We have searched Kindy's residence and found evidence that his accomplice is a collector. If we can catch him, we may finally have a chance to get off the streets. Let's show this strange, illuminated mirror to the judge.

The judge will agree that this mirror makes the collector's portal look like a broken one. Kindy says he developed this mirror to contact people in the house who have been divided by the fog, but that could be a lie.

    Palace of Justice

  • inscription of a craftsman's name

    Kira Woodville

There is no name "Arcane" in the city records. The suspect claims he doesn't know the name and is not good about the licorice in his pocket. Also, a strange machine was found. Of course, the suspect does not remember what the machine does. Let's find out if the machine is dangerous.

We do not know what this machine was meant to do, but it left a craftsman's inscription with the letters "A" and "K". Perhaps the presiding judge of the mechanical device might accept this as evidence that Arcane is a suspect.

    Palace of Justice

  • Luscious Suspicion

    Alford Stone

I didn't mean to get in too deep, but I was worried that that mechanical judge would let the culprit go... someone who looked like the accused came to me for a rare artifact. He called himself "Mr. Arcane" and gave me some licorice. I understand that licorice candies were confiscated from the suspect?

The guest who visited me had licorice, as did the suspect. Candy is not exactly strong evidence, and "Arcane" is probably an alias. But I would like to cooperate with the investigation. Shouldn't I check the city records under the name "Arcane"?

    Palace of Justice

  • Denial of obvious facts

    Kira Woodville

The killer must be pretending amnesia. I will prove it. We have hard evidence that the culprit is guilty. It is the device used to incite the residents to fog. Would you like to see it?

The perpetrator states that he has no recollection of this device. But they think this is an unfinished prototype. Bullshit! We saw him use it. But now the device won't turn on. It must have malfunctioned, and that's why the killer gave up.

    Palace of Justice

  • Judgment by scent

    Pawnbroker

Seeing the suspect, I remembered that someone similar had visited me before. However, his voice and facial expression were different. The person was asking for the "Memory of the Five Wise Guardians". Could you please confirm if the suspect has the fragrant boutonniere?

Ah, this is the same boutonniere that the customer wore. That is the scent I remember. I refused to sell him the "Memory of the Guardians". When the customer left, he said he would surely regret it.

    Palace of Justice

  • Night Accessories

    Rayden Storke

We still do not know who the culprit is. He may be pretending amnesia to avoid being held accountable. According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator of the fog was wearing a mask. Finding that mask would be helpful in the investigation.

Thank you for finding the killer's mask. We also got confirmation from the witness. But this is a night vision mask. In his statement, the suspect said he never goes out at night. He must be lying.

    Palace of Justice

  • Themis Awakening

    Alford Stone

It's ironic that the culprit manipulated the fog to destroy almost half the city, but accidentally activated the mechanized judge. He's been a defendant himself for quite some time now. Still, I wonder how the courtroom works. I can't wait to see it.

The courtroom appears to be ready for the mist-monger's hearing. A statue of the impartial Themis has been placed, and the defendant's seat looks sturdy despite its transparency. Take a look at the culprit. Let's put on a couple more amulets, just in case.

There was a big copper pot. Helen said that was her father's collection too. I wonder if they used to use that to look at the stars? Let's check it out.

Look, there's something carved on this bowl. Hmmm... this is a story about the Sultan's gold. But how does this help us find the astronomer? Let's read it.

  • Gold of the Seven Seas

    Cardsharp

Perhaps Colonel Gallahard angered the sea god by trying to steal Poseidon's treasure? To appease the god, you must offer him gold! Find me the "Golden Cup." If the monster hasn't stolen it yet, it must be there.

Look at the graceful curves of this golden nautilus cup! If Poseidon will not accept it, I will gladly take it back.

  • Helpful Actions

    Kira Woodville

We need to save the bank from the pranks of the hobgoblin. He lives here, so we can't kick him out. So, what about thinking of ways to use his talents? Since he can get into any tight space, let's ask him to help guard the bank. We will give him a security guard's hat. Would you please bring one from the security guard's office?

It's a nice hat with the symbol of the bank. The hobgoblin accepted it. In other words, he agreed to be an employee of Artifact Bank! With his talents, I am sure he will make a great security guard. It's wonderful! The banker got the one he wanted to get rid of!

    Artifact Bank

  • warm reception

    Rayden Storke

I have been trying to find out how the hobgoblin got into the bank and maybe he was always here. That is why there were foot warmers. Otherwise, he would not be living in a freezing vault. When it broke, the hobgoblin got angry and played a prank. Maybe he just wanted to warm up. Find some comfortable clothes in the bank.

These are nice slippers. I would love to have them. The banker is happy with the comforts of his office, but he would give up his slippers for good reason. You see, he has voluntarily moved to the back of the coin box. The godforsaken prankster has accepted our gift!

    Artifact Bank

  • Frozen prankster

    Kira Woodville

We need to plug the security hole in the bank that the hobgoblins used to break in and get rid of the culprits. Why does an energy meter emit a rattling <warning tone> near an artifact that looks like an old-fashioned foot warmer? Bring it here so we can look into it.

Thank you for delivering the foot warmer, it doesn't have an ID on it. It does not appear to be from the bank. Did the hobgoblin bring them? There is ice inside. It is not due to air conditioning as it is always cold here. How did the hobgoblin use this to break into the bank? I don't understand it at all.

    Artifact Bank

  • searching for an answer

    Kira Woodville

We need to find out how the hobgoblins got into the bank. The bank is fortress tight, but there must be a frayed spot somewhere in the energy defenses. Help us find the energy meter. With it, you can point to a weak spot that you think the killer used. The energy level should be low in that location.

So you have found an energy meter. So where are the weaknesses in the bank's security? Hmmm, security appears to be functioning normally, but there are strange reactions in the vault and a warning beep in that corner. Here was a "black hole"! This is how the hobgoblins got past the security!

    Artifact Bank

  • boring joke

    Rayden Storke

We need to understand how hobgoblins get into banks and how they behave. The banker has turned to the Security Bureau because his guards have been attacked. The hobgoblin seems to have set a trap for him, so let's examine it first. Look together for clues and traces that might explain the situation.

Thank you for your help in investigating the booby trap. First a bucket fell on top of the guard, startling him, then a sparrow grabbed him by the hair. The damage was minimal but unpleasant. Typical hobgoblin style. But this criminal runs around the bank like he owns the place and climbs up to the top of the door!

We need to find the lost spirit of spring and return it to the magical forest. The spirit of spring is said to be able to fill plants that are not supposed to bloom with buds. It won't be easy to find them, but if the two of us work together, we'll be fine.

Do you know how I guessed that the mask I found was an enchanted flower spirit? I wiped it with my handkerchief and the mask was covered in delicate forget-me-nots!

Thanks to the spring spirits, the whole town looks like a spring forest. Look at these trees. They're covered in green leaves in no time at all! But... it looks suspiciously too fast. Maybe there's a leaf spirit hiding in the crown of the tree? Let's check it out.

You're right. We found the mask that the leaf genie was transforming into. The leaf genie is very good at doing this without anyone noticing and without leaving any trace. I'm glad you helped me.

My father had a collection of possessions of famous astronomers. He used to work with those. If my father left a clue as to his current whereabouts, he must have hidden a code in there. With that collection, I can decipher the ciphers. One of the items in the collection is a metonic period gnomon from Athens. Find it.

This gnomon found is an ancient sundial. The metonic cycle was used to create the Greek lunar and solar calendars.

  • Attracting Truth

    Pawnbroker

We realized that what we were trying to get out of the ingot had no form. That is why none of the methods worked. This is not a material treasure, but something with very different properties. You need a magnet to summon it. This can attract the essence of things. Would you please help me find it?

You have found a magnet for the summons. Let's use it for ingot as soon as possible. If the essence does not reveal itself with this, you can keep this one as a souvenir. You stack the ingots and bring the magnet closer... it works... the golden light leaves the ingot and is attracted to the magnet. The light emitted by the ingot has faded.

Mistress Peacock is probably right. Colonel Gallahard has angered Poseidon as much as he has the Odyssey. If so, he can't come back to town until he appeases that sea god. The symbol of the Sea God is the nautilus shell. Can you gather up some of those precious cups made from nautilus shells? I'll make an offering with it. First, find the cup of fertility.

The cup of fertility is made from the shell of a nautilus, the symbol of Poseidon. If we use it to appease the sea god, the colonel will not be disturbed in his boat ride back to Mistress Peacock.

  • annulment

    Alford Stone

This magic ingot seems to be tougher than it looks. But if you want to extract the essence of the magic, melt the ingot down. The gold will be lost, but the magic will remain. There is a bottle of "dragon acid" in the bank. Let's get it and uncover the ingot's secret.

Did you get your hands on "dragon acid"? This rare item is made from dragon fruit that has been watered with concentrated mist. Its juice acts as a very powerful acid, but it only affects artifacts! Let's quickly spray it on...hmmm, nothing happens. Just a slight puff of smoke and the ingot is still intact.

    Artifact Bank

  • -centered

    Pawnbroker

We need to find out what this gold ingot originally was. Thieves like to melt whatever valuables they steal, but they do not always know the identity of the stolen goods. The artifact has been melted down, but its power still remains in the gold. To confirm this conjecture, why not search for the pliers of truth?

Wonderful, you have found the pliers of truth. These are the ones that can crush even diamonds. Let's take a quick look at the ingot. It may contain a talisman or a magic crystal. Hmmm, the pliers are red-hot, yet the ingot is not even scratched. It must be protected by powerful magic.

  • clairvoyance

    Alford Stone

You say that the symbol is engraved on the ingot, but I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before! Have you noticed that this gold is uneven? You can see what looks like a stain, possibly a trace of the original artifact, let's find an x-ray lamp and look through it to see what's inside!

That's the x-ray lamp I was looking for. Thanks! Let's shine the light inside the ingot right away. What a surprise! What's happening? The lamp seemed to shine even brighter, but then it burst under pressure! The ingot is emitting powerful radiation. So it really was an artifact. I would like to examine it more closely, but unfortunately the lamp was broken.

The item in this box has been unjustly overlooked. This ingot was purchased by me with the condition that it was an unidentified artifact. This is because it was not examined for its nature. This is my guess, but it is probably stolen. The ingot should be in the amulet. Let's look for it together.

Have you found an ingot? Want to know what's unusual about it? These ingots are not standardized. You see here, it is not stamped with purity, but with a complex symbol. This is not just gold. This symbol contains a certain power inside. We have to find out what it is.

Once the ghost has sealed the contract with his signature, the deed is complete. An ordinary quill pen in a disembodied hand won't do the trick, but a magic rune might. Fortunately, there are plenty of runes in the bank. I'll put some magic on the quill, so please help me!

This is a beautiful rune quill pen! I chose this rune because it gives me the strength and perseverance to solve problems. It will also be helpful in removing the burden of debt from the ghost. The signatures are now floating on the contract! Success! Now all that is left is for the banker to sign.

So, he uses his promissory note and a widya needle. By having the ghost point out the words to me, I will be able to talk to him. I have already prepared the needle for you.

There we go. Thanks for helping me with the receipts. I never thought I'd see the day when the wija needle I used to play with at the Oasis would come in handy. The payment due date won't be a problem for him, and the ghost is ready to pay off his debt. Let's get on with the process!

  • Responsible borrowers

    Mr. Jenkins

We found data on a ghost customer. He had a debt that he could not repay. Of course, that debt has been extinguished by the statute of limitations, but he still can't go to the other side because he is worried about it! Can you hear him roar?

You have found a coral abacus. This abacus can add up a lifetime of accomplishments and subtract from it all debts and unfulfilled commitments. Use it to tally up ghost debts and find a way to write them off. Let the debtor go free.

  • First warmth

    Yui

You can feel the warmth emanating from the missing sun spirit. You cannot see it because it is moving at a great speed looking for a way back to the magic forest, but you can ask it to slow down. Try to catch them at the right moment when they change their appearance into masks.

It worked! So this is the mask that the spirit of the sun was disguised as. Huh? Too hot? Then give it to me. I can touch it.

    Lady Peacock

The spirits of spring, he said, hide in places governed by the magic of spring, with which the spirits are familiar. For example, the spirits of roots and shoots get their power from water. Perhaps they must be hiding near the first buds that emerge from the ground. Can you help me find them?

This mask is the transformed form of the spirit of roots and shoots! I'm amazed that you found it among so many sprouts.

  • Present to Icy.

    Valerie

I also have to get a present for Icy. I'm going to give her some cutlery in a nice pot holder. But don't tell her yet! Now I have to find a bigger pot holder!

Thanks for finding the perfect pot holders to put the gifts in! I'll let Icy know they were a gift from both of you.

    Martha

In nature, everything depends on each other. The flora can't exist without the fauna. More importantly, the spirit of the beast neutralizes the negative influence exerted on the flora.

You now have the power of the spirit of the beast. Now you have everything you need to restore the balance of nature.

    Valerie

I'm thinking of giving my guide a real rabbit. I can just imagine the joy on his face when he sees the rabbit pop out of the silk hat! Can you help me get it ready?

What a fast rabbit! Thanks for helping me get it into the top hat. He's so cute! I'm sure he'll make a great companion for our guide.

Do you know what happens when you don't water a cactus for a long time? They turn into zombie cacti! We need that cactus in the professor's greenhouse. Let's help him out.

You brought a "zombie cactus." If you're going to put this in the professor's greenhouse, you'd better keep it away from the other plants. Why? The zombies will want to attack the others!

  • Reliable clues

    Mr. Jenkins

He said the ghosts had taken over the phone lines. But why does the ghost remain in this world, he says, because it has unfinished business. What important message does this ghost want to convey to the bank? If this ghost is a former customer, his data should be left in the archives. Let's find out if he left any traces there!

Thank you for finding the invalid currency. In the past, this was used to get artifacts in the bank. There are traces of ectoplasm on it, so it must have once belonged to the ghost in the example. Now we know his name and should be able to understand what he wants.

  • Call from the other side

    Abbot Paku

That banker said he is getting calls from ghosts. This can only mean one thing. That ghost wants to tell us something, but we don't know how. Or we don't understand his words better than he does. I am going to check the receptionist's phone where the ghost says he is receiving calls. Can you help us?

There are no traces of magical interference on this receiver, but there are traces of a strange substance. It appears to be "ectoplasm," which is said to help ghosts materialize. That banker was right. He was talking to a ghost.

All of the gifts from the correspondent were unsettling. It seems the person was deliberately forcing anxiety and fear onto Jenko's sister. But why? I spotted a new pair of ballet shoes in Tilly's room, but she's been away from dancing for a long time. Can you help me find the shoes so I can check them out?

Why did the shoe I found in Tilly's room suddenly start dancing by itself? There's also black smoke rising from it... it's as if some dark force is moving the shoe! Of course, this says something too. "Will you dance with me again?" What kind of "friends" are you to ask such a thing!

How do you stop an avocado from striking back? That's right, fog! Fog swallows everything in its path. We'll use the talents of the guardians to distort the fog's properties and make it absorb his abilities. There must be a crown of fog somewhere... let's find it!

Thank God you found the crown. Metal can control fog. Using his talents, he will create an avocado energy capsule and put the crown on it. That way, it should absorb his abilities. We'll use the guardian's talent!

  • weaken

    Mr. Black

The card shows an avocado. Looks like he's fainting. When he wakes up he will use the artifact against us. We need to restrain him. I saw green handcuffs here. Let's use our talents to enhance them.

Were the green handcuffs hooked to paralyzing ivy? It's a muscle weakening agent. I've seen it at work. The avocado should be unable to move. Using the talents of the guardians, we can draw out the properties of the poison ivy and direct it at the avocado. I don't care if he's on the other side of town. That's the end of the matter!

    Artifact Bank

  • Mouse trap

    Mr. Black

Wherever they're lurking, we'll always catch the avocado, we just have to be resourceful. Let's make artifact traps out of commonplace objects. There are plenty of traps here to keep track of from rats. Let's use magic cards for bait. Give me a hand!

All right. We've got a trap. The card you set up can be used to remotely stun the avocado so it can't escape. Don't ask me where I got it. They left us a guide on how to use the power of the guardian's talents.

  • Fearless Planning

    Mr. Jenkins

Master Avocado has promised to make the city better and safer. However, he needed almost all the artifacts and I decided to help. We needed to create an artifact shortage artificially. Find a piggy bank where you can store your magic coins. If you do so, I will let you see it!

This is a piggy bank for magic coins. However, what is inside is a pebble. I have destroyed the coins by stuffing them with pebbles. When the bank went bankrupt, I sold off the citizens' bonds so that you could find the vault of the guardianship. Avocado thought that you would know something about it.

  • Avocado Assistant

    Kira Woodville

The entrance is flashing! If that thing closes, we will be trapped here. Something is interfering with the energy field. The machine over there is absorbing the light from the entrance. Another artifact? Please help me look into it.

What a strange machine...there are golden shavings left. Let's open it. Inside are the remnants of an amulet...I see, this was a secret crusher used to break the artifact. When you try to restore it, the wreckage sucks the energy out of the entrance.

  • The way is clear.

    Mr. Jenkins

We haven't gotten the switch yet! Let's connect the items we collected. Okay, it worked. It is glowing! The energy of the talisman is creating an entrance! Now let's open it!

The portal has opened! That must be the dimensional switch we've been looking for. That is the way to the vault! We must go through there and find the guardian artifact. Let's hurry. A pile of treasures is right in front of us!

  • Memories of Joy

    Janko

The gifts we found in Tillie's room were obviously made by the same person. And clearly, that person was trying to convince his sister to take some sort of "decision step". That person was encouraging his sister to escape. No doubt! There must be something else... what about that box? Please, please open it!

Inside the box we were given to open, there was a mechanism built in that reproduced the sound of a gentle woman's laughter. Of course, this also says something. 'We all miss the laughter of our loved ones...' Oh... Tilly missed her mother's laughter... why did her sister's correspondent put so much pressure on her sister's feelings!

  • The Brilliance of Truth

    Vera

Jenko is looking for clues in Tilly's belongings that could lead to her location...I can help. I wonder if there is a hidden light source in this room? Even with the lamps off, there's still light in the room. I think I see something glowing in that corner. Let's take a look.

Unbelievable. It's a shiny nautilus! This nautilus is naturally found in the misty wilderness. Only the most intrepid foragers go there. Tillie must have gotten this as a gift. It says something too. It seems that Tillie's correspondent was encouraging her to take action!

    Clock Tower

  • It's not a setback.

    Mr. Jenkins

Now all that was left was to find the final talisman to make the switch. The main goal of the guardians was to ensure the prosperity of the city. The observation journal fragment has a picture of the moon repeatedly drawn in the margin. This is a symbol of growth. You should try to find a talisman similar to this one.

Excellent! You have found the Talisman of the Three Night Moon. How impressive. Turn it over and it becomes a symbol of the 28th, or darkness and decline. The moon is a symbol of intuition, and all of the guardians listened well to themselves.

    Artifact Bank

  • the energy of the Five Wise Sages

    Mr. Jenkins

We are almost there! I've been reading over the Guardian Corps document. I think I know what "light energy" is. An object has been kept in the bank for many years. It is not a talisman or an artifact. I don't even know what it is used for. Would you please search for it with me?

So you found a preservation container! Do you see the pearly glow? This is pure power, but I have never been able to use one myself. I thought it was a meaningless little thing, but apparently it does not work well without a counterpart talisman.

I had no idea that Tillie had received such a strange and unpleasant gift. Who did her sister correspond with before she disappeared? There are gift boxes all over the place...it looks like sand floating in the air is in that open box over there. Let's check it out.

The way this sand floats...it's as if someone threw sand on top of the stand and instantly froze it. There is something engraved on this stand as well. Tillie was afraid of wasting time, but who knew that, besides me?

Vila has loved to read since she was a little girl, so she would spend her evenings reading here as well. However, she has a habit of reading several books at the same time. I came up with the idea of a spiral bookshelf so that we can easily swap books. Can you bring it to me?

Thanks for delivering the spiral bookcase. Shall we see how it rotates? If you read as many books at once as Vila does, it's very convenient to find and put books on the bookshelf like this. Hope your daughter's reading will be wonderful and convenient while you are on vacation!

  • Always at hand

    Lucas

There is a big tree by the house where Vila will be vacationing. She will want to sit under it and read or draw, so it would be nice to make it more comfortable! For example, they could hang trays from the branches. Go find one!

This hanging tray looks so beautiful and convenient! Looks like a perfect place to put art supplies and mugs! I'm sure Veera will love this tray as well, since she has so many shelves within reach in her work area!

  • The Value of Silence

    Kira Woodville

With the ideal conditions in place, Vila will follow our recommendations and rest. A house surrounded by nature has only one drawback. That is mosquitoes and other insects. An ultrasonic repeller will surely be useful for Vila. Let's find one!

This ultrasonic repeller is exactly what you have been looking for! It was developed by the Sheriff's Department to aid in nighttime missions. The sound waves emitted from the device repel insects perfectly. Vila will be happy to know that he can read outside without being bothered by mosquitoes!

  • Multifaceted nature

    Kira Woodville

What is the "harmony of beginnings" mentioned in the document? The guardians must have known better than anyone else the complexities of people, both good and bad. Let's look together for something that might symbolize the harmony of beginnings.

That's what I was looking for! You have found the cufflinks with wings of light and darkness. On the back are the marks of the guardianship. I hope the owner of these was able to choose the right side properly.

  • The real treasure

    Mr. Black

To find the switch and get the treasure, you need to use the power of the guardians. The first is "sharp minds." Given the Five Wise Men's fondness for wordplay, it would seem a good idea to find the sharpest of the five.

A razor blade with blades instead of blades? That's Occam's razor, the embodiment of the principle of scientific simplicity that runs through all theories. Of course, the guardians often used that idea in their inventions. This should help open the door to the vault!

    Artifact Bank

  • open the door

    Kira Woodville

What if this was set up by the guardians to trap artifact hunters? Better find a shady hiding place or carefully examine the bank vault for further clues. Look, there is a tool stuck in the lock of the armored door! Let's take it off!

Thanks to you, we got our dollars. It was clear that we were not the first to come here. This little laser dollar is very old and broken. Someone must have tried to break into the vault a long time ago and failed. But the door remains completely intact!

    Artifact Bank

  • Warm your heart.

    Lucas

Did you know that Vila likes hot tea? She says it's good for clearing her thoughts. If you want to make this the perfect place for your sister to get away from her daily routine, you'll need a portable conduit! Can you go get one?

I like this portable stove! Not only can I use it to make tea, but also for cooking. Not many people know this, but Vila also loves to cook. Cooking requires precision and creativity, so I guess it's similar to engineering. I'm sure she'll love this gift!

    Abandoned Factory

  • The further we go, the stranger it gets.

    Mr. Black

Get away from the vault, you're about to trample it down if there were any traces left behind. Let me examine it with my "green outer wire" loupe. It's a special wavelength of light, a kind of greenish ultraviolet. There's a footprint! Let's check it out.

Hmm, this is part of a footprint. They have not been erased, but have simply disappeared, as if they suddenly stepped into the void. This must be another riddle by the guardian. Was this wall built after that something left its footprints? Maybe there is an invisible door here.

  • Hidden Meaning

    Mr. Black

The needle pointed to an ordinary vault key in the bank. Does that mean the sextant was broken? But the constellation only points to the key. Let's shine a light on it and take a closer look--is there something inside the key? Looks to me like it's a piece of parchment! Help me get it off!

Hidden in the key was a note left by the guardians. It reads, "Even the familiar can surprise one. The key is to look at it from a different angle," it read. Apparently there was a reason the clue was hidden in the key to the bank vault. I'll have to look into that!

    Artifact Bank

  • Mystery of the Astronomer

    Kira Woodville

A sextant seems to me to be an invention of an astronomer. After all, he was once a member of the Guardians and was involved in the creation of the vault. This may be another clue, and if so, the sextant should be in the bank. Let's find the sextant!

So you found a sextant. How does it work? Well...it has a model of a galaxy on the base. I don't think it is a coincidence. Are you talking about the sextant? I understand! Take a look! The top of the constellation is glowing and pointing in the right direction. Let's head there!

    Mr. Black

I saw a statue in the bank with the word "clock" inscribed on it and a pedestal in the shape of a dial. Maybe there is a lever inside the numbers? I'll push it. Okay, the numbers are pushed into the floor and the cloak of the statue starts to move! I'll check it out right away!

Oh, right, this cloak is a mechanical message left by the guardians, reproducing someone's voice. Whose voice, exactly, is it out of the five? According to the voice, the guardians' vault is in the bank, and only a sextant can locate it. What in the world does this mean?

  • Flying Castle

    Mr. Black

While we are still able to secure the artifact, let's find out what Avocado is up to. We can use the items we find and the cryptogram on his lever. We need to interpret the evidence correctly. We need your help!

It is as if the city itself is giving us clues. Avocado's intentions are transparent. Pawn shops are banned, movie theaters are closed, and ... the sheriff's department is nonexistent. Because there is no danger there. Avocado is already starting to change the city, man!

    Artifact Bank

  • Closer to the truth.

    Mr. Black

Avocados collected artifacts in dangerous numbers. Failure to manage them could even destroy the city. Therefore, I decided to use the emergency protocols of the Security Department. That way, I could access the avocado's assets without regard to the bank's bylaws. Let's get to it!

Is it a golden lever with a cryptogram on it? I've seen it when I worked for the Defenders Alliance. The line is encrypted data. This is a sketch of the layout of the city, but it is off. It shows the same location as the shadow city, but it doesn't list the pawn shop, the movie theater, or the southern citadel...

Avocado also purchased Sophia's bonds. What did she owe the bank? She won't answer me if I ask, but when I saw her in the hall today, I noticed she was wearing a new jewelry necklace. It looked like an artifact. I'll find you the same one!

That looks like the jewel Sophia was wearing, a purple opal... this is an opal of adoration! It is said to increase love for the wearer, but did Sophia use this artifact to increase her fan base?

  • Changing Reality

    Kira Woodville

The Capuchins were also in the hall. And Avocado also purchased their bonds. There is nothing unclear about this one. They borrowed items from the bank to help with the filming of the movie. The Capuchins are always careful about staging and props. Look for artifacts that will fit your requirements!

You found it well! It warps objects within a small area. It can also alter time and create powerful illusions. It would be indispensable for Mr. and Mrs. Capuchin.

  • his usual self

    Mr. Black

Alford Stone's name is on the bank's list of debtors. What did he want to take out of the bank? The man already has a number< of mysterious knick-knacks. He's an unusually superstitious man, so maybe he borrowed an amulet that works like an amulet to ward off evil. Help me look for something like that!

I see you found Stone's amulet. I don't know what effect it has, but it must be something the Stone guy would like. There were several amulets in the bank and someone had borrowed one of them. Let's see if it was Stone.

    Artifact Bank

  • Pure artifact

    Mr. Black

If Broderick wanted to use the artifact, he would need a special solution to purify the energy of the artifact's previous owner. This is a common procedure in banks and I have had some experience with it. Help me find the solution!

Did you find the nullification solution issued in Broderick's name? My hunch was right. The man is trying to maximize the power of the artifact. Even if his intentions are correct, it is not the kind of power one man can handle. He is a danger to the city!

    Artifact Bank

  • Empty reserves

    Mr. Black

We need to check out the safe that Broderick bought. Even if it's against the rules, the safety of the city is paramount. We need to know what kind of artifact the man is interested in. The man may have made a questionable transaction. Can you help me with that?

Surprise. Broderick's safe is open and empty. Only a few small talismans remain inside. The man took all the artifacts he had deposited in the bank. Did he decide to use all of them? But for what?

    Artifact Bank

  • over-vigilance

    Mr. Black

The subject of the investigation often visits the bank to negotiate. And when they do, tea is always served. But this man is particularly careful. Am I right? According to the bank secretary, the man brought his own cup to avoid being poisoned. Let's find out for sure!

I figured the subject was bringing the cup to the discussion for fear of finding it in the case or being drugged or fingerprinted. This is also consistent with the "psychological portrait" of the man! The fact that the cup was forgotten must be because the man left the bank in a hurry. Was he afraid of us?

    Artifact Bank

  • Failure of identification

    Mr. Black

Well, it's not easy to identify the buyer of the receivables. But the bank must have some old customer cards in their possession. One of them might be Broderick's. Let's explore him further.

I found Broderick's customer card! That's got a weird tree-shaped chip on it. The owner must have gotten creative. Because this kind of chip encrypts data. Look, the information displayed in the bank's system doesn't make sense. For identification purposes, the owner must have a ring-shaped key.
