Stones drawn to life
Vera
I'm going to try an experiment. Can you help me? It's the only way I can think of. I need you to find a special device to see how the ore is radiating energy. A device that can pick up sound.
So you found a "voice of the earth" detector! It's a device to find out how "buzzy" a stone is. Okay, I'll get right to it... the energy waves of this ore are constantly changing as it searches for the nearest organism. That's a strange stone.
-
one's last hope
Vera
What did the sinister ore used by the shadow cult take from those who were summoned here? Perhaps their memories. I bought a figurine filled with memories from a pawn shop. The owner is missing. Try to get it close to the ore on the wall!
When I approached the figurine filled with memories, the ore glowed for a second and then immediately disappeared. The color of the figurine faded a bit, so it seems that the stone did not absorb all the memories. But why didn't all the memories get taken away? Did we do something wrong?
-
Greedy flames
Kira Woodville
It seems that the Shadow Disciples were trying to perform a ritual related to the memory of the people of the city. Did that ore have any use other than to lure them? There is a brazier next to the altar. Was that also used in the ritual? Let's find out.
This brazier also appears to have been used in a ceremony. There are burnt remains of commemorative medals, photographs and identification cards. Why did they burn these things? A text is inscribed on the back of the brazier. The flames erase the memories left in the objects, and the dark jewels..." So far we can read.
-
The Value of Riddles
Cardsharp
It is also natural that Miss Peacock would receive the information in the "bird catching" contract. Adherence to the contract is absolute, my friends of the heart! The last riddle in "The Bird Catcher" was about the coin. Find that one.
I wish this "Indian coin" from the "bird catcher" riddle was worth more, but... you can take it. You can give it to Martha. You will need it for the Mistress Peacock ceremony.
-
A gem of a tea set
Lady
We are one step closer to the time when our loved ones will return to Miss Peacock! All we need to do is remember the "bird catcher" riddle. The fourth riddle was "Every guest is a kisser. And the answer was a teacup! Can you find it?
I don't have anything as nice as these "teacups" in my collection for my clients! I hope it helps Martha with her prophecy.
-
filtration
Juliette
Martha is right. Miss Peacock couldn't solve the "bird catcher" riddle, but we did it for her! And according to the contract, we should be entitled to a reward! One of the riddles was about the "tea strainer." My dear friend, can you help me find it?
When making tea at the mansion, we use a tea strainer similar to this one. It's amazing that such a common household item is part of the magic of "bird catching"! Martha will put it to good use.
-
Rituals of Terror
Rayden Storke
What exactly did the Shadow Disciples perform the ritual with the example ore for? Have you ever heard of a "memory ritual?" My grandmother Clarissa had a book that detailed it. If I'm right...yes, I'm sure there is a dagger or knife of some sort around here. Look for it!
You found the obsidian atame! It was definitely black magic that the Shadow Disciples were practicing. I have read about forbidden rituals related to human memory. The ones of the cult may have lured them into the mine to look for something important lurking in the memories of the people of the city.
-
revolving lantern
Vera
It looks like the disciples performed some sort of ritual with the ore. I saw a strange chalice dropped near the stone. I didn't think it was important at the time, but now that I think about it, it was definitely used by the Shadow Disciples. Can you help me find that chalice?
I know this one. It's the chalice of memory. I once saw it for sale in the back streets of Fog. I wanted to buy one for my father, but I was afraid to. They say that drinking from this chalice brings back all the painful memories of your life in an instant. Why did they need this thing? Shadow disciples are supposed to have no past.
-
idol
Vera
The people of the city were called to the mine because the Shadow Disciples had unsealed a dangerous ore. But why would they want to do that? If they wanted to use it in some ritual, they would have prepared an item with the ore on it. Let's look for it.
Just as I thought. This is a totem dedicated to the Stone. On the back is written... "Pray that the Jewel of Darkness will remove all uselessness and give us strength!" I know. It's kind of creepy. What is this ritual to get rid of?
-
The Call of the Stone
Vera
I've discovered that this ore has some sort of ability to control people. Maybe we should take just one sample and leave the cave because it's dangerous. Let's find a sturdy pickaxe and chip off a piece of the ore.
You found a pickaxe. It's a little old, but very sturdy. It has a rather unusual handle... you see, there are words inscribed on it! The stone calls out to the other world, hoping it will be dug out. No one escapes its influence. No one!" ...How horrible! Does this mean that this ore has the power to make people crazy?
-
purpose for which a stone is used
Kira Woodville
Miners used the crystals they dug up on a daily basis. If this is the case, collectors must surely have used this ore that we are interested in for something. Come to think of it, I saw many helmets with the example ore on them that had fallen off. Is it possible that one of them belonged to a collector?
This is indeed a collector's helmet. See, here are his initials! You see the ore on it. lAs soon as I picked up this helmet, I heard a voice in my head... whispering something terrible. Is it possible that the collector was unaware of the ore's evil properties and was unwittingly influenced by them?
-
Conversations with the Past
Vera
Working in this mine must have been grueling at times. If so, there may have been times when he did not have time to write down the progress of his research in his notebook. In such a case, he might have recorded his thoughts on a voice recorder or something. It would be easier. Maybe he left the device he used to record his thoughts somewhere. Let's look for it.
So they found a receiver, not a voice recorder. It's funny...I can hear someone talking about the mining operation. A man is talking about the ore and his research. He says his name is... a collector! I wonder if we're picking up a signal from the past. Can you turn it up a little louder? I'll write it down!
-
Essence of Happiness
Vera
How can I find out what this strange ore is and how it works? All of my equipment is malfunctioning when I try to examine the stone. The collector must have built a special device to examine the ore. If you find a device that looks like something he might have invented, can you bring it to me?
This is a crystal accumulator. The collectors used it to turn some of the ore into a liquid so that they could examine it. After analyzing the small amount of liquid that remained in the device, it was discovered that the stones have the effect of making people feel temporarily happy.
-
Ancient Stone
Angelique
You find an item that the collector and his team used to use and you want to know about that evil ore. But they were not the first to enter that cave. We checked around the area and found an old ring. Come on, let me show you.
Based on the condition of this ring, this is over 1000 years old. And the stone on this ring is the very ore we are examining today. These rings were worn by priests in ancient civilizations. This means that the stone has been used in rituals for a long time.
-
Terrifying Scenarios
Kira Woodville
A black magic ritual, you say? Somehow, I think I know who is the mastermind behind this incident. I still don't know the identity of the voice calling out to the people of the city, but I do know who would benefit from this time. If you see the ominous eye symbol, let me know. I will explain everything.
So you found the almighty eye. Unfortunately, I guess I was right. This is one of the symbols of the Disciples of the Shadow. It seems that this mine has become a place for the shadow cult to perform their black magic rituals. They were probably the ones who brought the people of the city here. But how in the world?
-
A sight not to be seen
Rayden Storke
There is something disturbing about these dark tunnels. How on earth do they create the mysterious voices that call people to the city? I am curious about the dream catcher hanging on that wall. How did it get there? Let's take it off the wall and find out. Can you give me a hand?
As soon as I picked up this dreamcatcher, a horrible image came to my mind. Evil people standing in front of a wall in a circle, praising someone... then all of a sudden the dreamcatcher burst into flames and I dropped it. It was definitely some sort of black magic ritual!
-
Ghost in the Mine
Rayden Storke
As I was examining this place, I heard something clanging. It sounded like someone was tapping on the anvil. I went toward the sound and found the ghost of a miner there. I felt no hostility and he disappeared immediately after asking me to find the anvil. What does this mean? If you find the anvil, please let me know.
So an anvil was found. This means that the miner's ghost was not an illusion. A note has fallen near the anvil. It says, "If you hear the voice of the dark gem, strike the magic anvil three times and submerge it." It seems that the miner's ghost was trying to help us. What exactly is the "Jewel of Darkness?"
-
eyes sparkling in the dark
Vera
I wonder what the mysterious voice is that is bringing people from the city here? The mine's security system seems broken, but I can't help but feel like someone is watching me. I saw that, and something glowed in the dark. Could it be someone's eyes glowing? Or... a crystal?
So what I saw was not a glowing eye, but a jewel held in this iron hand. If you look closely, this gem has some sort of lens built into it. It's well hidden inside, but I'm pretty sure it's a tracking device. There is someone somewhere monitoring the mine!
-
Fog Pipeline
Mr. Black
I noticed in looking at a photo taken surreptitiously during the performance that one of the assistants kept an eye on an old gas lamp in the audience. Maybe that has something to do with the trickery of this performance. I'll check it out.
You see, the bulb of this lamp is connected to a pipe! I checked it out and found that the pipe leads to a foggy back street. So, when you open this valve, the auditorium is covered in fog. Why on earth would they do that? It doesn't sound like it's just to create an atmosphere. Was the audience informed of this in advance in the first place?
-
Bottle of Fog
Mr. Black
No evidence was obtained from the props that are the mainstay of this trick. That means the secret is hidden in something else. I found the magician's notebook, in which it says, "The mist pours from a giant jar." Let's find that bottle.
Is this the bottle the magician used for his trick? Well, there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about it. There is no indication that the neck of the bottle can be removed or that there is a mechanism at the bottom, and the glass is quite ordinary. Is this another prop to deceive the audience's eyes?
-
Illuminated clowns
Mr. Black
In a human disappearance trick using a can, there is a scene in which a clown enters the can. But when the can is opened later, there is no one inside. The assistant shines a small spotlight on the spectator, and the clown appears. Look for the spotlight. It may be the key to solving the mystery.
I see that you found a spor-trite! Have you checked it out yet? You said you didn't find anything unusual? Let me see... yeah, sure. The bulb is a normal one, and if you press the button, the light comes on normally. So I wonder what secret is behind this trick?
-
The secret of deception
Mr. Black
If the secret to this trick isn't the can itself, I'll have to look elsewhere. The mist is mainly put into the can through a hose. And the process seems to be controlled by a pressure gauge. Let's check out this device.
Apparently, this pressure gauge with the hose on it is just a prop to fool the audience's eyes. Look at the arrows on this device. They're handwritten, right? That means there is no way that a dangerous amount of fog could have been poured into the can. No wonder the fog clown wasn't afraid to lose his memory with this performance.
-
stone guardian
Kira Woodville
The collector had done research here before. It is also said that he was the one who set up the system for this mine. We are told that a security system was installed at the entrance to the mine to prevent looters from entering, but what happened? Let's check the surrounding area. There may be an alarm hidden somewhere.
Isn't this chimera statue somewhat suspicious? Oh, I knew it. A device is hidden behind the statue. When a stranger passes by, it switches on and blocks the entrance. But it seems to be malfunctioning. Did a treasure hunter or someone else break it?
-
in the dark
Rayden Storke
Be careful. You never know what is lurking deep in the dark tunnels. Something mysterious is luring people inside. Even though it only happens at night, you should be very careful. I will go in first. When I give you the signal, please follow.
This is not just a mine. It is a fortress composed of caves and tunnels! Collectors may have been doing research here long ago, but there is clearly a human presence here. Crystals sparkle, lamps are lit, and many statues adorn the walls.
-
Main props
Mr. Black
This trick is called "Disappearing from a Can of Fog." Let's start by examining the main props. Perhaps that will be the key to solving the trick. Together, look for the can of fog that the fog clown used on stage.
This is definitely the one used in the trick. It's big enough to fit a person inside. I checked the bottom and seams for tricks, but it seems to be an ordinary can. I find it hard to believe that a person could disappear in this can!
-
Tin Jupiter
Doorkeeper
Tin is needed to improve Helen's condition and bring her back to consciousness. The alchemists have linked the properties of this metal to Jupiter, haven't they? Let's look for the celestial rite of that giant planet.
This great giant planet in our solar system would help Martha to make a "planetary directing amulet". You'll be able to bring Helen back to consciousness.
-
Don't forget your hat.
Mayor
If indeed the "greenhouse" item is useful in Miss Peacock's search for the Colonel, I'll dig up my memory. The second riddle, I believe, was about a great hat! Find that one.
Of all the things to wear, the hat is definitely the most important. Martha will need this to tell Miss Peacock the whereabouts of the Colonel. What were the other riddles in "The Bird Catcher?"
-
Truth in Booze
Conductor
Martha has an idea. Hopefully we can help Miss Peacock get some information on her fiancé. All we need to do is remember the answer to the "bird catcher" riddle. I can recall the first riddle perfectly. A fine bottle of wine! Let's find that wine!
This "bottle of wine" looks expensive. I'm sure what's in it is appropriate, too! After I do the "bird catching" ritual for Miss Peacock, I can take it with me, can't I?
-
flower of peace
Alford Stone
The time will soon come when I will find out what lies ahead for my future and what dark shadow the fortune teller saw. The fortune teller told me to look for a crystal lotus. She said it would calm me down and allow her to focus on the ritual. Let's look for it, shall we?
Thank you. You also helped me find the crystal lotus. What a beautiful amulet! Look at the light on the petals. It's mesmerizing... indeed, I feel a sense of calm! Now you are ready to know the unknown.
-
smoke screen
Alford Stone
The fortune teller apparently does not have enough incense to use to read my future. She says that the incense smoke will open the way to the heavens, which will show me the unknown. The materials for the incense should be in an Egyptian box, so let's look for it. I would love to see them too.
You found what you were looking for. But this Egyptian box is not Egyptian at all. I've made duplicates before, so it's easy for me to tell the difference between authentic and not-so-authentic. But it's what's inside that counts, and it seems to have everything I need to make incense. Let's take this to the fortune teller.
-
Energy Colors
Alford Stone
The fortune teller promised to cleanse my aura when she did the reading, but for that I would need a seven chakra amulet. The problem is that ever since the security bureau conducted a search of the circus, it has become more difficult to find anything. Can you help me get this amulet back?
Thanks for finding the amulet. I read in one of the scrolls that these crystals represent the energy points of the human body. The fortune teller uses the seven chakra amulets to remove traces of my past before divining my future.
-
Window of the Future
Alford Stone
The fortune teller said she would reveal the secret of my future. Could it be that he will tell me where the stolen treasure is? I can't wait to know the answer, but to do so, I must find the fortune teller's magic ball, which was stolen by a black bloodhound. Find it with me.
This is the crystal ball the fortune teller asked me to look for. According to her, the crystal ball is made of misty crystal and its surface is covered with a haze. I hope this haze will not interfere with the fortune teller's ability to see my future in the ball.
-
Tablecloth with embroidery
Alford Stone
I will gather all the tools used by fortune tellers to divine my future. Oh, and of course I can divine your future too. The fortune teller said that the table used for divination must have a moon cover. A special tablecloth with runes embroidered on it. Will you help me find it?
I see you found a moon cover for your Ouija table. It would have beautiful embroidery. It is in excellent condition for its age. Such an item would be a very expensive addition to my antique collection.
-
Searching for giant celestial objects
Detective
My partner, Martha, asked me to find a celestial ritual. It's to bring Helen back to consciousness. I wonder where I can find Saturn, the giant gas giant. Martha is there to make a talisman. Let's go look for that celestial globe, shall we?
I have to admit, I was expecting the "Saturn Ritual" to be much bigger than that. I'm going to take this to Martha. I want to see her make an amulet to bring Helen back to consciousness.
-
Iron Planet
Valerie
Martha asked me to find an iron celestial globe of Mars. Apparently Martha needs it to make an amulet. To help Helen regain consciousness. Can you help me?
Wow, the "Celestial Ritual of Mars" is on the back of a horse. The Romans thought the horse was a symbol of Mars, the god of war. I hope this celestial globe will help Martha to make a good luck charm.
-
Controlling the flame
Lucas
I love the circus and have seen magicians pull the fire trick many times. I'm going to set this book on fire with magic! I'm going to set this book on fire with magic! I haven't decided on a spell yet, but the book is on fire. Help me put it out!
Thank you. If it weren't for you, this book would have ignited and started a fire. This trick is a chemical one. My sister gave me an ingredient that ignites when exposed to air and I sprinkled it on the book. When the book is opened, the fire ignites. Do you think the fog will extinguish the fire in case of emergency?
-
Not Free Fall
Lucas
I've learned some really cool tricks to wow the crowd. It's my favorite. It's so simple, yet so funny. The fog never mixes with it. I'll show you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone. First, we need to find a rope and a jar.
If you put a rope in a jar and turn it over, of course the rope will fall out, right? Mine is different! I secretly threw a cork ball into the jar and there is a stopper for the rope. Look, look... where's the ball? Was that another one of those illusions that the fog created?
-
Fading into reflection
Lucas
I want to show the audience something beautiful and magical. Of course, without the influence of fog. For example, a handkerchief passing through a mirror. Don't worry, you won't get hurt. This trick is just a magic trick. There are no holes in the mirror. Look at it.
The secret of this mirror is the discreet frame made of transparent mineral. Vila gave it to me. When I pull a handkerchief through the frame, the cloth bends along the edge of the mirror, making it look as if it is passing through the mirror. What, the mirror is foggy? I'll try to fix it.
-
A useful item
Lucas
I'm also practicing coin tricks. I'm having a lot of fun. I'd love to know what you think of how it's going. Poof! and one coin becomes two. Of course, it's not a foggy call, it's a real tool! It's a real tool. My dad made me a secret coin. Look at this.
Have you been watching closely to see if there is any fog on this secret coin? This is simply another coin hidden inside the coin. You move your hand like this while distracting the audience so they don't notice that there is a slit in the coin... What, fog? Oh, it's true. The fog got stuck in the slit. This makes it hard to manipulate.
-
Try from Trump
Lucas
I'm going to show you a trick, and I want you to watch me so I don't use fog. I'll start with the card trick. It's very difficult! I can do anything with fog playing cards, but the real ones drop right out of my hand.
Thanks for finding a bunch of playing cards. Now I'm going to show you a trick where a card that disappears from this hand appears in the other hand... look, it's done! What, was it the fog card? Yeah, I didn't even realize I switched it. I need to practice more.
-
magic flute
Anna Weber
The soap bubble solution is almost ready. Then we will be able to cheer up the sad clown and after she has been shown her performance, we will be able to talk to her about who hurt her feelings. Oops, you were missing the most important thing. It is the blowpipe used to blow soap bubbles. Can you find it?
What a great blowing hole with a heart on it. It's perfect, thank you! I can create heart-shaped soap bubbles with this blowpipe. When Fanny sees it, she will be delighted. I am sure she will smile and tell you the reason for her tears.
-
grate finely
Anna Weber
Fanny won't tell me who made her cry, but I will definitely find out. Right after the show. And to get the show started, let's cheer up the clown with soap bubbles to put a smile back on his face. We've got the soap, but we need to grate it finely. Can you help me find a soap grater?
I did it! You found the soap grater! Now, lend it to me. Let's make soap bubbles. I must confess that I love soap bubbles, but it's been a long time since I've made soap bubble solution. I don't have much time... I hope it works and helps Fanny's grief.
-
Special Materials
Anna Weber
To cheer up the sad clown, let's make soap bubbles. I want big, rainbow-colored soap bubbles. For that, we need glycerin as well as soap. It is often used in cosmetics, so you should be able to find a small bottle of glycerin in the makeup kit in the waiting room of the circus.
I really appreciate your help! I would not have been able to find a vial of glycerin so quickly on my own. By mixing this ingredient into the soap solution, it makes the soap bubbles stronger and more beautiful. I hope this will finally bring a smile to Fanny the clown's face.
-
Flower Aroma
Anna Weber
Fanny the clown is crying and the show has not started yet. Let's hurry up and make some soap bubble solution to cheer her up. First, of course, we need soap. We don't have time to go home to get it, so could you please find some soap around here?
What a lovely lavender soap. It smells very nice. This would make a splendid soap bubble. I hope the clown is pleased. Fanny says that no one has hurt her, but she is obviously hiding something. There must be a reason behind the tears.
-
Colorful start
Anna Weber
Fanny the Clown is my favorite circus performer. She's cute and haughty. Who on earth made her cry? Could it be that someone is trying to ruin the show? Fanny loves soap bubbles. Let them fly and bring smiles back to the clowns. Help us find just the right can.
I was looking for just such a thing. A beautiful tin can. I found this tin can filled with colorful jelly beans for sale at a store by the circus. The candy may make you feel better, so let's transfer the contents somewhere and give them to Fanny, and use the tin can to mix the soap solution that will be the source of the beautiful soap bubbles.
-
Story-filled object
Kira Woodville
What is the reason for Maximus to spread rumors about female fans devoting their souls to shadows, etc.? To keep the audience away from the circus! This is a conspiracy. The villainous Avocado's men may be involved. If I were in the position of the monstrous man, I would take self-defense measures. Let's see if we can find something like a bulletproof vest.
What a surprise to find a gladiator vest instead of a bulletproof vest. It looks good on Maximus, the monstrous man, but I would think he would choose something more modern for self-defense. Where in the city did he find a gladiator vest? Oh, the vest is marked. "Capuchin Film Studios." I see...
-
Loving Pets
Kira Woodville
We found no evidence that Maximus is in league with the shadows. In other words, the monstrous man of the circus is a victim of slander for some reason. Wait a minute. I see a box with a misty haze. You are hiding the sign of the cult there, aren't you? Oh, it looks like there is a creature inside! What on earth is this shadowy creature?
This shadow creature looks like a snail. Yes, I have seen snails like this before. The animals are no longer in the city, so pet lovers buy mist snails from collectors. Maximus is an animal lover... and at the same time, he serves the shadows? No way!
-
In a ring of light
Kira Woodville
If the monstrous man of the circus serves the shadow, his possessions should reflect that fact. The bright colors fade around the shadow's disciples. Maximus is not yet a disciple...what is that eerie light in the corner of the room? The light seems to be emanating from a lantern. Let's check it out.
The eerie light of these mysterious lanterns seems to emanate from the phosphorescent mushrooms crammed inside. I recall Carlos Wright recently suggesting that citizens use glowing mushrooms instead of crystals for lighting as a way to conserve energy resources.
-
trail of snakes passing by
Kira Woodville
We do not have enough evidence to deny the rumor that Maximus is working for the shadow. It is possible that the Kage bought the ability of the monstrous man and welcomed him into its ranks, giving him the popularity and charisma that the monstrous man coveted. If Maximus agreed to such a deal, he would be in possession of an object with a snake motif as a symbol of his connection to the shadow.
This belt of snakes looks like the sign of the shadow. But since my experience of being trapped in the shadow castle, my fingers get itchy when I see shadow-related objects, but I have no reaction to this belt. Look, there is something written inside. Ah, it appears to be simply a gift from my colleague Snake Lady!
-
Mercury's water
Martha
Helen's aura is getting weaker. It's because her consciousness is in another world. To make the Amulet of Planetary Directness, I'll have to use alchemy. I need to collect the celestial bodies of the planets. First, you will need to find the water globe of Mercury.
The Celestial Ritual of Mercury is the basis for the amulet that connects the different worlds. With this amulet, we make our way to the place of Helen's consciousness.
-
Signs of bravery
Kira Woodville
We need to find out if Maximus the Strong Man is a shadowy emissary. Because it seems that such rumors have been whispered for a long time. Perhaps the shadows have given him incredible physical toughness. While Maximus is away, let's see if we can find an amulet or similar symbol of the shadow's apprentice among the numerous medals.
Have you checked all the medals of the monstrous man? Is this the last one? I see. It seems that Maximus often participated in Kaiyoku Man tournaments and won the prize before he came to town. So it is unlikely that he received his power from a shadow. I don't see any sign of the Order on the medals either.
-
Empty bag
Magician
Avocado had planned everything meticulously. We were instructed to place the stolen items in a bag that looked like a circus drum and leave it on stage after the show. That bag must still be there somewhere. Now, let me show you!
As you can see, there is nothing in this bag. This is because Mr. Avocado took all the contents. We have not heard from him since. He mentioned something about one special item mixed in with the valuables of the cabaret guests, but I don't know if he actually managed to get his hands on that item. He left us nothing and took everything!
-
cabaret star
Magician
Avocado promised us that there would be no danger in moving from the circus to the cabaret. But it was not easy to convince the troupe members to understand this. I had to show them that I myself would walk through the door and bring back the napkin holder from the cabaret. I'm sure it's around here somewhere. Please find it.
This starched napkin stand helped the troupe members understand that it was not dangerous to go through the fog door. Finally, they agreed to appear in this performance. We were convinced that no one would be able to see through this trick.
-
technical problem
Magician
I received an advance from Mr. Avocado and prepared a new program to bring the audience back. He further explained how to make the fog doors and provided the necessary materials and tools. This drill was used to sharpen the crystal. I will offer it as evidence!
This is a drill made by a technician from a group of collectors, so it should not be easy to find. But everyone knows for a fact that Mr. Avocado's people are mixed up among the collectors. With this drill, it is possible to drill a hole without destroying the crystal's energy wall, thus preventing the crystal's properties from being compromised.
-
Pawned Past
Magician
The members of the circus troupe are not criminals! I told that to Mr. Avocado. But that man is very persuasive. Absolutely no one would ever find out, he said, and it wouldn't hurt the wealthy people to have a few things stolen. And he convinced me that it was a good way to get the money to revive the circus. The conversation is recorded in a memory vial. Here, look at this!
These vials are filled with precious memories, so please treat them with care. I pawned this and Mr. Avocado bought it and brought it to me. He told me he would give me the vial if I helped him with his "project" and I just couldn't refuse...
-
Desperate situation
Magician
The city's interest in the circus had waned and the circus troupe was in an existential crisis. We needed a new program to bring the audience back, but we had no money. Clutching at straws, I reached for a business card. Where did I put it? Please look for it with me.
This is what I wanted to show. It is an unusual business card with no text on it, but the design makes it obvious who left it. Yes, it is Mr. Avocado. He made me one proposal. And I could not refuse it. I really needed the money.
-
What opens the door
Mr. Black
The door with all the parts installed looks somewhat mysterious, doesn't it? I wonder what kind of "tricks" we will see when we open this door? According to the note we found, we need the crystal key. Diggs gave us a fake one, but we won't be easily fooled. Let's find the real key.
What an unusual key. If I had left it to my men alone without your help, I would not have found it at all. It looks like the handle head of a walking stick, but the attachment is too small for that. Maybe it came from a magic wand. See, it fits perfectly! Okay, let's turn this thing on its head...
-
Clever keyhole
Mr. Black
I need to collect all the parts of the door used in the example performance that became the alibi for the circus troupe members. I believe this trick has something to do with the theft at the cabaret. But how? According to this floor plan, the door must have had a special keyhole cover. Let's find that.
This keyhole cover seems to have been dug out of a rare ore. It is a very delicate item. Why do they need such a thing for a mere circus trick, even if it is a performance in which all members of the troupe perform? It's just for decoration, Diggs repeatedly mutters...
-
Crystal Brilliance
Mr. Black
We will soon find out what Diggs performed on the night of the theft at the cabaret. Perhaps the audience was put into a trance by the light of those crystals? We will find out when all the parts of the door with the crystal are collected. Hey, if you look closely, this door is missing a side beam. Let's find it.
You found another one. Keep it up! This side beam also has crystals on it. When I mounted it on the door, it glowed just like the crystals on the door handle and knocker. What the heck does this mean? Diggs says it's just a reflection of light...but I just don't see it.
-
The door is opened to those who knock.
Mr. Black
There are a few missing parts on this door. According to this floor plan, they need a door knocker. The magician said he doesn't know where it is, but I highly doubt it. Let's find the door knocker.
We found the door knocker, but Diggs is somewhat disgruntled. Still, it's an interesting supple thing. The crystal on Harlequin's head glints in the light. Is this really just a decoration? It might be a perfect design for a circus, but I just can't see it that way.

Card Spreads
Kira Woodville
This is my first time doing a card reading, but this should at least give me some information about the location of the collector. I have created a special compass by spreading the divination cards exactly as they are in Mrs. Stokes' book. Have you ever seen anything like this?
This spread is great for searching. The book says that by using it you can see the path to your future. This is exactly what I need right now! According to the card, the collector is now in some kind of government building surrounded by enemies. Let's find out what it is.
-
Just the right size
Mr. Black
Diggs says he doesn't know where the door parts went, but I believe he is involved in the theft. The question is how in the world did he commit the crime in the middle of the show? The only way to figure that out is to collect all the door parts and recreate the trick. I believe I found a door handle around here somewhere. Can you find it for me?
This door handle would fit that door perfectly. It is made of real crystal and is very beautiful. Are you telling me that this is really just a decoration? I'll find out how this is used in Diggs' shady tricks, I promise.
-
exorcise a spirit (e.g. of a monkey)
Kira Woodville
When this happens, ask the question as clearly as you could in heaven. Who can help me find the collector?" Use caromancy, divination with melted wax, to elicit the answer. Light a candle and let the melted wax drip into the water. Look, the wax forms a shape!
You too have found the collector in the form of wax, have you not? The answer that the heavens have shown me is that it is the collectors themselves who will tell me where they are. Or that the collector will come to me when the time comes... But I cannot just sit on my hands and wait!
-
Sorcerer's Armor
Magician
Since Director Black still seems to think that I am using hypnosis, I will now show you my biggest secret. Yes, the tailcoat I wear in the show. I had it in my costume box, but during the search earlier, all the contents were taken out. Please look for the tailcoat with me.
Take a look at this. This tailcoat is very intricately made. It has many secret pockets to hide props, such as colorful scarves, cards, and coins. It looks just like an ordinary tailcoat, but this kind of trick is necessary to please the audience without using hypnosis or magic.
-
spread smoke
Kira Woodville
To find collectors, we need more effective divination. Try capnomancy, a form of divination that uses smoke. You might find some useful information in the magic smoke. There must be a nice incense burner somewhere. Can you find it?
This is exactly what you have been looking for. The smoke from this mysterious incense burner should tell you the exact location of the collector. The smoke swirls and vibrates, and you can see figures inside. They seem to be fighting...where am I? Oh, my head is spinning. I must have inhaled too much smoke.
-
salt-throwing ceremony before the sumo bout
Kira Woodville
We want to find the collector by any means necessary, even with the help of divination. Because if anyone knows how to get out of this fog, it is none other than him. We need a clue as to where to look for him, so we will try allomancy, an ancient form of divination using salt. Just find me a salt shaker and we can get started.
You have found a gorgeous salt shaker. Do you think Mrs. Clarissa Stokes was an allomancy? According to her book, if the salt you sprinkle forms the silhouette of an animal, it is a good sign. However, if you see a geometric pattern, she says it is a bad omen. Anyway, how nice it would be if there was a map with an X on the target point...
-
collecting rocks and mineral specimens (as a hobby)
Kira Woodville
The collectors lured me to town one day. I bet he could bring people back. But where the hell is he now? No one knows, so I ask the heavens. In other words, I decided to try divination. You may not trust me, but please find a board for geomancy, fortune-telling with stones.
Thank you for finding the Geomancy board. I learned this divination from an old book by Mrs. Stokes. The way it is done is that you throw a stone and divine the future by its position. According to the prediction of the stone, I will find the gatherer. I hope you can also foretell where we will meet.
-
evidence of involvement
Mr. Black
There is no doubt that there is a connection between Clarissa Stokes and the defenders, but let's not jump to conclusions. Any resident would be willing to help eradicate the monster. But if Clarissa is indeed the mysterious Lady S., she must have the ring of the defenders. Let's look for it.
Thanks to your talent for finding things, I was even able to find the ring of the defenders! This one has a number engraved on the inside. Let's find out if this ring belonged to Mrs. S. Could Clarissa Stokes be the mystery warrior?
-
Evidentiary devices
Mr. Black
Even though there are many suspicious items in Clarissa Stokes' house, we need hard evidence that the Mrs. S in the defender's report is her. If she was participating in the surprise attack on the monster, she must have used some special device. Did you see a dowsing pendulum or something?
That's as good as it gets. The dowsing pendulum I was talking about is exactly what this is. The defenders use it to locate monster nests. According to the report, Mrs. S. poured special energy into the pendulum. Maybe Leyden's grandmother had a hidden side of being a scientist?
-
Signs left in the iron
Mr. Black
Are you suggesting that Clarissa Stokes was involved in the fight against the monster? We need to destroy the possibility from all sides. According to the coded reports from the defenders, Mrs. S. was a true warrior. Reiden never mentioned any such thing about his own grandmother, though. Let's see if we can find some sort of armor.
I am surprised that chainmail gloves were found here. One could argue that Mrs. Stokes may have used these for gardening, but I don't think she was growing that many thorny plants. Look, there are dents in the iron that look like the teeth marks of a monster!
-
Mysterious image
Mr. Black
On the defenders' documents, this mysterious Lady S. or "Masked Lady" is also called "Masked Lady. The reason for hiding her face is not clear. If the Masked Lady is Mrs. Stokes, then a mask will be found in her possession. Let's split up and look for it!
You found a cracked mask. Strange. There are some wires attached to it... oh my God, it's a neuro mask! The technology in this mask masks the wearer's neural waves, allowing them to sneak up on the monster. Let's send this in for inspection to confirm its authenticity.
-
Stunning performance
Magician
Did you see that I did not use hypnosis or magic? I don't think I need to explain any further. How did the flower appear from the bottle? I will be happy to explain it to you if it will clear your suspicions about the members of the group. Among the objects scattered by your men, there must be a bouquet in a bottle. Bring it to me. I will reveal the seeds.
Yes, this is it. There is, in fact, an identical bottle containing a drink. The spectator is given the bottle and asked to examine it carefully, pour the contents into a glass, and then swap it with the bottle containing the bouquet. The bouquet is then removed and the spectator is surprised! It takes skill to pull it off, but there is no hypnosis or magic involved.
-
life-threatening
Mr. Black
It may indeed be a common sleight of hand to pull things out of thin air, but I hear you stabbed the basket and the woman with a saber, yet the woman was unharmed. How on earth could they do that? Maybe you used hypnosis? Let's find the basket the saber was stabbed into and find out.
I checked the cage that the saber you found was stuck in, and Diggs was right. It's just a trick. This basket looks small, but it's shaped in such a way that a person could fit inside it and the saber wouldn't stick.
-
Emergence of Birds
Magician
You want me to reveal the seed to a professional magician? I really don't want to, but if it's for the sake of my colleagues' alibi, I have no choice. I will prove to you that I did not use hypnosis. In yesterday's show, I performed a trick where I brought a picture of a pigeon to life. You see, the pigeon pops out of the album.
Can you guess where the live pigeons came from? Yes, you can. There is a hidden space in this album. First, I draw a picture of a pigeon, and then I draw it out of the box while distracting the audience with my hand movements. Please do not tell anyone about this trick. This trick is very popular among spectators. Even without hypnosis.
-
The Secret in the Hat
Mr. Black
Audience members witnessed that all the troupe members were at the show at the time the theft occurred. However, this alibi would fall apart completely if they could prove that hypnosis was used. According to eyewitness accounts, Diggs showed a card out of a silk hat at the beginning of his performance. Was this a trick? Or did he hypnotize the audience into believing so? Let's look for the silk hat.
The silk hat you found has a suspicious tear in it. It's just barely big enough to hold a card. You see, if you put a card in here, you can get it out of the supposedly empty silk hat. This is just a magic trick. No need to hypnotize the audience.
-
The Big Secret
Mr. Black
I've interrogated the members of the circus troupe, and they are all very confident! When this happens, we have no choice but to rush them with irrefutable evidence. My men found a locked box in a secluded area, and it's possible that something stolen is in it. Can you lend me your tools to open the lock?
The lock that looked so sturdy was easily opened with your tools. What did I find inside? There were no stolen valuables inside, but we did find a dark-colored leotard that looks like something a thief would wear. It's an outfit that's easy to move in and hard to be seen... this is solid evidence! Who the hell does this box belong to?
-
A clever way to get around
Mr. Black
Shh, be quiet. We're just watching an acrobat perform. Judging from their dexterity and softness, they must be good at slipping their bodies into tight spaces. They might even have been able to break in through the chimney of a cabaret. Look for the special safety belts they use. Make sure it's free of chimney soot.
You found the safety belt. It's a perfect job. But there doesn't appear to be any soot on the chimney. No, it's possible that the soot was removed to cover up any sign of intrusion. It's too early to rule out jugglers as suspects. All right, let's check their alibis.
-
lip-synch monkey (esp. the Japanese lip-synch monkey, Cynops pyrrhogaster)
Mr. Black
We spoke to an audience member who told us that a monkey appeared during the show who could speak. If you can train a monkey to do such a trick, you might be able to train him to quietly take valuables from your pocket. Can you go get me a monkey? Let's find out what tricks they have.
It was a tough mission, but you got the monkey in one piece... Hey, what's this? It's a puppet! How the hell did this thing talk? Oh, I see. Ventriloquist's trick. He was just wiggling his mouth! Circuses are full of optical illusions, it seems. We must be careful not to be fooled.
-
excellent workmanship
Mr. Black
The jugglers could be suspects, too. They could successfully throw a rope to the window of the cabaret, and then follow it inside without being seen. And with their dexterity, they should be good thieves. Have you seen any juggling grabs around here?
This juggling grab has a ribbon tied to it, which could have been used as a rope to sneak into the cabaret. I'll have my men check the jugglers' alibi. Their performance was so loud and boisterous that no one would have noticed if one of them had slipped out.
-
Miraculous Costume
Mr. Black
I have a few hypotheticals regarding the thefts that occurred at the Cabaret. Don't let a single suspect get away. Maybe the culprit posed as a guest and made a grand entrance through the front door. Circus performers often change costumes mid-performance. Let's look for a make-up case.
You found the make-up cases used by the circus troupe members. Thanks for the help. But on second thought, it's much harder to impersonate a wealthy citizen than it is to put on clown makeup... I'll hold off on this theory.
-
Strong Suspicion
Mr. Black
We need to check on the members of the circus troupe and find out who was responsible for the thievery. The back door of the cabaret must have been locked with a chain. Perhaps a strong man ripped off the chain. Then he put another lock on it to cover his tracks of entry. Let's check for broken chains among the possessions of the strongman.
Looks like you found a broken chain amongst the possessions of a monstrous man. Nice work. If this was ripped off from the back door of the cabaret, it's a strong piece of evidence. I'll send it off for analysis right away. While we're waiting for the results, we'll interrogate the strong man. Maybe he'll tell us something that will give us a clue.
-
Artist's Treasure
Fabien Delamode
Most of the cabaret guests have had their wallets stolen. If you look properly, you will find a pile of gold coins hidden in the back of the circus. If you find it, even Director Black will have to admit that the circus is involved in the theft. Please search for the gold coins with me.
What a surprise! This many gold coins would be enough to prove that the circus was involved in the theft! But this gold coin lacks weight and has strange inscriptions on it. Could it be the death of an antique? No, it is also a counterfeit! Who would want a circus full of fakes like this?
-
A juggler's tools of the trade
Fabien Delamode
There will always be traces left by thieves in this circus! By the way, a celebrity who went to see a concert at the cabaret lost an expensive gold lighter. Earlier, an acrobat was performing a juggling act with fire at a rehearsal, and I wonder if the lighter used at that time might be the stolen lighter in the example?
I admire your talent for finding what you are looking for. This is indeed the lighter used by that acrobat. Let's take a look at it right away. It certainly looks expensive, but my eyes cannot be deceived. This is not real gold, but a fake. What a circus full of fakes!
-
crown surrounded by circumstances that are difficult to explain
Fabien Delamode
I believe that the culprits who stole from the cabaret patrons are smart circus performers. We must make sure that Director Black understands this. Speaking of which, a wealthy lady had a one-of-a-kind tiara made by a craftsman stolen. Let's see if there are any such items mixed in among the circus props.
That's great that you found the tiara! Let me see. This would be perfect as evidence...oh my goodness! This is a cheap counterfeit! From a distance, it looks like an expensive item, but this is a prop that snake charmers wear on their heads in shows.
-
Special knives
Fabien Delamode
Do you have any good evidence? He said he had left it there because he was not allowed to bring weapons into the venue. I remember seeing a beautiful knife around here. Would you be willing to search for it with me?
Yes, it is this knife that I found suspicious. I wonder if it was stolen...no, it seems not. See, the blade is heavier than the handle. This is definitely something used for knife throwing. What looks like jewelry is just colored glass. It is lighter than jewelry and very inexpensive.
-
Expensive interior
Fabien Delamode
It was definitely a member of the circus who stole my brooch at the cabaret. But I need proof to make Director Black believe that. Let's look for something expensive. I can't have sold everything I stole, can I? Gold, diamonds, velvet...anything like that?
It is true that these flags are made of velvet, but they are of very poor quality. And the finish is cheap. But they are relatively expensive for circus decorations. I don't believe that such money is available to this circus, but it is not convincing evidence to offer to Director Black.
-
Inside the tent
Fabien Delamode
I reported the theft of the brooch to the Sheriff's Department and also mentioned that the circus might have been involved in the theft, but Director Black would not take it up. He just said it must have been dropped off at a cabaret...but I don't think so! Now, let's check inside the big tent.
Hmm, it's not as bad inside as I thought it would be. It seems to be a reasonably lively event. Spectators must have been attracted by the illumination and fireworks. However, it looks like they are still preparing for the show. I wonder how the members of the circus are feeling about not being able to leave the city? I'm sure they are by no means happy about it.
-
Special aromas
Mr. Black
Shh! Don't make a sound! No one must know that we are investigating Clarissa Stokes' house. Perhaps we may find evidence of a connection between her and the defenders here. Do you notice this minty scent? Find out where it's coming from. I'll tell you why later.
The bouquet you found still releases fragrance. In other words, this is a twilight mint with a very long-lasting scent. It is carried by the defenders on missions because of its ability to mask the smell of monsters. But in Mrs. Stokes' case, she must be collecting it simply as an ingredient for mint tea.
-
Spring Sweets
Inspector
The City of Shadows never ceases to amaze me. So many worlds of gods and goddesses mixed together here. Of course, if only the people would remember them. Come on, let's offer Ostara the traditional bread. We can't forget her.
That's a freshly baked "hot cross bun". What a nice aroma! Where I'm from, we have tea with this bread shortly before Easter. I've made up my mind! When this is over, I'll invite you to my house. Let's have tea together.
-
Gentleness of Spring
Valerie
Who would have thought that Ostara would be offended by the lack of respect? They didn't even know that goddess was coming to the City of Shadows. Anyway, we must appease her. We must offer her a bouquet of blooming willows.
There are a number of countries that decorate willow bouquets with ribbons and feathers to celebrate spring. Did you know? The feathery flowers on the branches are called "pussy willow. You've learned something.
-
alarm clock
Detective
The professor said that to fix the alarm, he needs a punch card. He says that's all that's needed to make it all work. Let's look again, buddy.
You found the punch card. Now, let's get this to the professor. That'll get you back in time. Stuck people and birds are so boring.
-
Rite of Spring
Mistress
That approach is wrong! You think that if you please Ostara, spring will come as it always does. Then you must do it the same way as in the ancient rituals. First, bring the "winter doll" woven of straw.
This "winter doll" will do. To bring in spring, burn him and then dunk him in the river. Then spring will start under the ice.
-
Spring Offering
Juliette
Oh, dear friend, you mustn't grieve Ostara. You must pay your respects to the goddess! I read in a book. I read in a book that people used to make offerings on the altar of Ostara in the shape of a bird's nest. Do you have anything like that?
Wonderful! I see that the bird's nest dedicated to Ostara is decorated with feathers, flowers, and symbols of spring, as well as eggs. I hope this gift will please them.
-
Frozen Scent
Lady
I noticed that the steam from the pie I brought to "Jack's Masquerade Ball" was frozen. The professor explained everything to me. He wants me to go find the mechanical part of the alarm clock. Can you help me?
So many gears in this "mechanical part of the alarm clock". I hope the professor fixes the alarm clock so that the time will work again.
-
Otherworldly Bell Tones
Conductor
The bell on the professor's broken alarm is gone too. We have to find it. Let's get that genius to "fix" time and stop the bell from ringing.
Is this a bell? How can such a small machine produce such a deafening sound? Take this to your professor. I'll have him fix your alarm clock.
-
Spring Donors
Isabelle
In order to bring spring back to the City of Shadows as usual, we must show our respect to Ostara. This goddess used to receive offerings every spring equinox, but has been forgotten for the past few years. Let us collect spring offerings for Ostara. Then she will show us some mercy. Can you help me find the Night Sky Rabbit?
Legend has it that the "Hare of the Night Sky" presented a decorated egg to Ostara. The goddess loved it so much that she shared her happiness with the people. It was then that the rabbit began to bring gifts in the form of eggs.

One step closer to discovery
Collector
A common symptom among those exposed to the fog is loss of memory and emotion. However, no damage was found in the brain itself. Important data is contained in the medical records.
I examined the brain waves of a patient who had lost his memory under the influence of fog and found that changes had occurred. This led me to make a startling discovery.
-
Mischievous needle
Valerie
The professor's alarm was shaped like a pumpkin. The needle had eyes on it. We have to find the needle and fix the alarm. We have to break the spell of those poor people who turned to stone.
The hands on this clock are shaped like garlic. Look, it's making my eyes twitch! Only a professor would use something like this to make an alarm that stops time!
-
Monster Science
Detective
What the hell was the collector trying to say? Are you suggesting that the fog is a mechanical device? That's a crazy idea. Monsters are said to be born from fog, which would mean that monsters are mechanized too... There must be some monster data around here somewhere. Find it.
Amazing! That's an exhaustive list of data about monsters! So the collectors were doing research to communicate with the monsters. I wonder if this has something to do with the special properties of fog? Hey, look at this. I found the rest of the records.
-
Clock's outer frame
Cardsharp
I just liked the professor's alarm clock. How could I possibly know that this would happen? That's a money tree. It's a thing that knows when it's time to die. People would pay money to know their fate. But the clock is broken, and the face of the clock is lying around somewhere. Bring it back and give it to that clever professor. He can fix anything.
Take this clock face to the professor. If he fixes the clock, the guests who turned to stone at "Jack's Masked Ball" will start dancing again.
