Valerie is gone.
Alex
Oh my God. This time Valerie was gone. She was in front of the mirror in the café, trying to fix her makeup. At exactly midnight, a huge sailing ship appeared. The ghost ship headed straight for us. The mirror shattered into tiny pieces, and one of the pieces went straight through Valerie's heart. She collapsed to the floor and vanished before my eyes. Before she vanished, Valerie had boasted that she had tried on the old pirate's tricorn hat. Find her.
The pirate's tricorn hat is tired, but otherwise perfectly normal. Now that we have all this, hopefully people won't disappear again. Let's go to Martha's right away.
-
Where are the guides?
Valerie
Have you seen the guides? That's strange...he's not at the station and the others haven't seen him for a long time. He said he found a 100 year old bottle of wine in the treasure. I can't help but feel that everyone who touches the pirate's belongings will disappear! Hurry up. We need to find the bottle and see what's going on!
Bottle is very old but still full of wine. It has never been opened. The guide must have disappeared for some other reason.
-
Second missing person.
Conductor
Hey, listen...I was with a detective going to the treasure, looking for clues or something. But all of a sudden, some force pushed me out of the cave. I went right back, but the detective was gone. He vanished without a trace, just like Juliette! Before he disappeared, he was carrying a dagger. You think it belonged to the old pirate?
Yes, yes. This is the pirate dagger the detective was carrying. It looks perfectly ordinary... just old.
-
Pirate ornaments
Cardsharp
The old pirate disappeared many years ago. Many believe he may have left town by opening a portal to the Pirate's Cave. His records may contain valuable information that is hidden right here in the pirate's cave. But where? If we find five of the old pirate's possessions, Martha can summon the spirit. I think I saw the pirate's bracelet in the cave. Would you check it out?
This guy sure looks like a pirate bracelet. But what good are they to us? The gems, yes, they may be valuable, but they're just on a string.
-
Hostage Ransom
Detective
I lost consciousness during a ritual in a pirate's cave and found myself by the door of a café. In my hand I held a strange note. Unidentified patrons were ordering food for a dozen people and a large barrel of rum, even though it was the middle of the night. To prevent us from sneaking out, the unidentified people were planning to take a beautiful woman in a blue dress hostage, the note said. Oh, no! They've taken Juliette hostage! Hurry up and find me some rum. Please. Before Juliette suffers something terrible!
Thanks for finding the bottle of rum so quickly. I am so worried about Juliette. I'll leave the rum in the cafe as requested by the kidnappers.
-
Forgotten Artistic Tools
Alicia
I have never heard of a maze in this area before. Maybe it was a myth after all, but if so, where did these statues come from? Was it created by the fog, or was it the work of the designer? Either way, if this is the work of an apprentice, his tools should be nearby. Have you seen it?
Where the hell did you get those carving tools? Is it over there? Well, let's go that way. Maybe we can find the maze. Please don't leave my side...to find the designer's treasure stash, you'll need to step deep into the garden. I can't help but feel uneasy when I think about it.
-
Talented Design
Alicia
We want to find the maze and the treasure at all costs! But don't misunderstand me. This is not for personal gain, but to satisfy my curiosity. We are not even sure if the apprentice actually existed...come to think of it, there are rumors that the apprentice created beautiful sculptures. Let's find out.
What a wonderful statue. It looks as if it is already alive, even though it is unfinished. This was definitely made by a very talented person. If an apprentice to the designer existed, then the story of the treasure may be true!
-
Trap Formula
Alicia
Legend has it that the treasure is hidden in a maze where the spirit of the apprentice is trapped. He does not leave the mansion after his death, but stays to scare visitors looking for the treasure's hiding place. Through complicated calculations, the designer has prepared a special dwelling place for him. Can you find those calculations?
The calculations described here are completely incomprehensible... Legend has it that the designer calculated the lines that the planetary force field would follow and built the maze based on that. Yes, it is a maze in which those spirits that continue to stay in this world are trapped. Is the legend correct?
-
Beach Party
Valerie
Before coming to the City of Shadows, I traveled all over the place. My most memorable trip was to Hawaii. We had parties every night. I really miss that laid-back lifestyle! Please find me a postcard of Hawaii. I kept it as a souvenir.
Postcards from Hawaii! You found it! I'd love to have a beach party like that again...
-
Wisdom in the mountains
Martha
I have been to a monastery in my search for the truth. It is built on top of a mountain, hidden from the eyes of outsiders. It has everything you need to be enlightened: mountain air, ancient wisdom. The monks gave me a postcard as a souvenir, but it got mixed up with some other papers.
You found a postcard of the monastery! Just looking at this one makes me calm down and think about eternity a lot.
-
Monster of the Resort
Detective
I heard you are looking for travelers? I went to a southern island once. There was a rumor that you could see mermaids. Turns out that the story was just an attempt by the island to lure tourists. But the vacation was fun, and I came home with a postcard. Can you help me find it?
Thanks for finding my postcard of Mermaid Island. If you want to spend your vacation in the mountains by the sea, you should definitely go there. You won't regret it.
-
Hello from Greece
Conductor
Yo. The mayor told me they are looking for someone who has been to a tropical resort, I went to Crete once. I've been to Crete once, and it was incredible. I brought back a postcard as a souvenir, but I don't know where I put it. Can you help me find it?
Yes, this is it. A postcard of Crete. Greece is a great place for a vacation trip. The booze there is amazing! I remember looking for mermaids in the harbor after a bottle of ouzo!
-
Romantic getaways
Juliette
Have you ever been out of town, you say? Oh...it was a very romantic trip.... We went to Sunset Island. I wish I could show you the beauty of the cliffs framed by the purple light of the setting sun... I have a postcard. Where did I put it?
Yeah, here's a postcard from Sunset Island! Merci for finding it. I have so many memories... sorry. I got a little carried away.
-
Booty from the North
Cardsharp
The last ornament has horns...the Vikings wore horned helmets. That's all I can think of. Maybe it means we should look for a Scandinavian god.
A Scandinavian god. He's rugged and masculine. The set is now complete.
-
Land of Spices
Cardsharp
Hmmm... the fourth one looks more like a picture of an anise tree than an ornament. I need to find the spoils of the land of spices. The first one that comes to mind is Ganesha, the Indian elephant god.
Ganesha is the god of wisdom and prosperity. But the pirates were probably more interested in the golden ornaments than the Hindu symbolism.
-
Symbols of the New World
Cardsharp
I don't know what the third symbol means. But stylistically it looks Mayan. Which means we have to find the American loot.
This Mayan figurine is a symbol of the New World. Pirates were always looking for new lands, new adventures, treasure and glory.
-
Symbols of the Dark Continent
Cardsharp
Hmmm...the second ornament is African by all accounts. No doubt. We need to find a figurine made of ebony. Black as night.
The sculptor is not so skilled, but the material itself... an African idol made of ebony wood. No matter where you cut it, it's a trophy of great value.
-
Symbols of Asia
Cardsharp
There are hints in the notes. The figurines show various places in the world. The first one from Asia looks like a netsuke. I bet you this silk hat. Shall we look for a Japanese idol then?
I knew it! The first ornament was a Japanese idol! We're turning out to be a pretty good team.
-
Blood and Sun
Lady
Legend has it that the sun was once captured by a snake and the people lost their warmth. At that time, a brave young man defeated the monster and brought back the sun and spring to the world. His red blood and the color of the first snowfall became the source of the red and white decorations of spring. Look for the red and white decorations of spring in the mansion.
Help the gatekeepers bring back spring with these spring red and white decorations. Just as that brave young man brought back the sun. We do not wish for blood to be spilled, but...
-
Spring Paint
Lady Peacock
In my hometown, we celebrate the arrival of spring with a festival called the Holly Festival. During this beautiful event, we burn the dolls of evil beings. People all rejoice in the arrival of spring and throw festival paints at each other. Please find that paint, please!
The participants are overflowing with joy as they paint for the Holi Festival! It's a colorful crowd! This overwhelming energy helps the gatekeepers bring in spring...
-
Cradle of the World
Lady
Long before the spirits of spring appeared, they were collecting symbols of Easter traditions. In some countries, women color Easter eggs by hand. Each egg symbolizes the birth of the world and the coming of spring. There must have been one in the mansion... look for the colored eggs.
A certain talented lady gave me this ornately decorated egg. I can feel her warmth and the primal power of spring radiating from the egg. Oh, please help the gatekeeper!
-
On a carpet of petals
Doorkeeper
Every year the Japanese cherry blossoms attract millions of people around the world with their traditional hanami. I once brought a branch of cherry blossoms in full bloom to a lady. Back when I had not yet lost my powers. They are a symbol of the great spring. Can you help me find some cherry blossoms in full bloom?
This cherry branch is still newly bloomed. My power can no longer nurture it, though. But I can feel the power of spring from every petal! I hope this helps to open the door.
-
long-eared owl (Asio otus)
Huntress
I hope to find the legendary symbol of spring at the Lady's mansion. The most eagerly awaited spring visitor is the Easter bunny. It's believed that the rabbit builds a nest in the garden and brings beautifully colored eggs there for the holiday. Can you help me find the Easter Bunny?
It's a real Easter bunny! And you're really holding a colored egg. I hope this magical animal helps the gatekeepers bring in spring.
-
For Traditions
Valerie
Whoever brought the nightingale to the Lady's mansion knows her well. And about the traditions of Easter. By the way, there's a tradition at Easter of hiding eggs and finding them. That poor worshipper must have left the Lady an Easter egg. We have to find the eggs!
Wow, an Easter egg. This looks somewhat like the Easter eggs of the Russian imperial family! Oh, I opened it... there's a letter inside! It must be his confession!
-
Magic nectar
Lady
Recently, I was in trouble because I ran out of syrup for my baked goods. Then I found a jug of very tasty nectar in the window. If that is not a sign of love and care for me, what is? Look for that nectar. From that moment on, that nectar would appear in my house from time to time.
The nectar of this flower breathes new life into my very dessert! Whoever brought this to me brought the nightingale here. I know what I'm talking about. They always take care of what I need...
-
irreplaceable love
Lady Peacock
The magical nightingale is adorned with jewels. Which means that the lady's mysterious admirer who brought the machine that puts the tree to sleep is a rich man. For this person, the best way to convey his feelings to the Lady was to give her jewelry. Find a special jewel that the Lady would never buy for herself!
This ring is worthy of being worn by an empress! It is decorated with living plants. Martha said that trolls cannot create anything from living things. Does that mean it was a magician who made this?
-
Heartfelt stone
Juliette
Only someone who truly loved the Lady could have brought the nightingale to the mansion. How romantic! It's troubling that it's affecting the tree. If that person really loved the Lady, he/she would surely have a portrait of her. Do you have a small picture or some sort of pendant with the picture in it?
This lovely pendant does indeed have the lady's picture on it! And this wonderful piece...the chain is broken. I'm sure this lady's admirer must have accidentally dropped it.
-
harbinger of spring
Cardsharp
This poor card cheater is tired of freezing his ass off waiting for spring. We need to find this love-crazed asshole and turn that damned bird off. Check his personal belongings and maybe you'll find where the key is. Look for other signs of his love. A man always sends flowers. But with the harsh winter still to come... well, look for the snowdrops!
This snowflake is made of jewels and is alive! This suitor is a fool. To give such a priceless gift...but he knew how to find flowers in the middle of winter.
-
common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus)
Inspector
Did you notice a pleasant melody echoing in the hall around noon? That sound started again an hour later. It must be a clock. It's playing the time of the Lady's beautiful home. Perhaps this melody is disturbing the opening of the buds? Find me a pendulum clock.
This clock is very complicated. It plays a melody every hour. I had one of these antiques in my office. Isabelle promised to check it out to see if there was any magic in it.
-
fashions of yesteryear
Mayor
I can hear the gramophone in the hall. That machine was very popular in our time. And it seems that the lady chose a fashionable gramophone and put it in the living room. Find a phonograph. Then Martha will find out if it is the source of the magic that puts the tree to sleep.
This gramophone will bring back happy memories. Martha will feel nostalgia as she performs her magical rituals. Now take this gramophone to the psychic.
-
Musician in the garden
Lady Peacock
They are probably looking for something that will be the sound source of the melody they will give to Martha. But could it be a living creature? Birds singing, or...wait a minute, there are cicadas singing! The hotel garden was full of cicadas during the summer. Look for cicadas!
I have never seen such a cicada! It's like a graceful oriental jewel. Take this to Martha. Take it to Martha and have her check it for dangerous magic. And please don't damage the feathers!
-
Wind Music
Lady
I have so many things in my house that are sound sources. I wonder which of them will work their magic on that poor tree? I hear crystals playing intricate melodies. That must be my favorite crystal ornament, the crystal wind chime. Please find it!
I heard that this wind chime was hanging on the window next to that tree? Hurry up and deliver this to psychic Martha! Have him check it out immediately.
-
Sounds of Childhood
Juliette
Martha told me to find something that could be the soundtrack to the melody. I do so, and Martha will find that magic. I hear a simple but gentle melody coming from the music box! It reminds me of my childhood. I wonder if this gentle music is preventing the tree from blossoming? Find the music box, dear friend!
What a wonderful music box. I can play so many tunes! Lady promised to give this to me when the problem of the magic melody is solved.
-
Small amount of water
Juliette
Most of the problems that happen to plants have to do with water, dear friend. I have taken care of my landlady's garden and greenhouse. I wonder if lack of water is the reason why the tree of life is not flowering? Find a watering can. Find out what the gatekeeper and the lady used to water it!
I can give you pure spring water with this jar. I asked Martha to check it out. They take very good care of the tree of life. So why doesn't it flower?
-
Special Meals
Isabelle
Could it be that the Tree of Life is not flowering, perhaps because of chemicals or poisons? Maybe some foreign impurity got mixed in with the fertilizer. Or maybe the spring's enemies intentionally mixed in poisons. Let's find the fertilizer and do an alchemical analysis.
This magical fertilizer contains a very high quality magical extract. I made sure of it. If we were using such a good product, the trees would have flowered by now. What's the problem?
-
seek the truth
Juliette
I'm also an experienced gardener. I promised Isabelle I would help her. Perhaps the tree of life is not flowering because of bad soil. Find me a shovel. It should be in the gatekeeper's and lady's tools. With it, we can dig up the soil and check its condition.
Ah, the lady's tools are so neat, even the shovel! I did a little digging in the dirt. It's definitely very good quality soil!
-
Slight Cracks
Detective
I'm trying to figure out if the tree is the cause of the illness. But I need to think like a detective. In fact, just a tiny crack in a flowerpot that you don't even notice can ruin everything. Julie used a fig as an example to teach me that. Let's check out that tree pot, shall we?
What a gorgeous bowl! Not a single crack. On the contrary, I think this pot is perfect for growing the tree of life. What in the world is this tree missing?
-
tree doctor
Isabelle
To find out what is happening to the tree of life, we need to examine the leaves of the tree. I inspected the surface and found nothing wrong. The plant itself is fine. But a smart gardener has a special lens. He or she can use it to see if there are any hidden diseases on the leaves. Find your garden magnifying glass.
That's wonderful. I'm going to check out the leaves on the tree of life with this garden magnifying glass. Well, well, well... good news! The sapling's leaves are smooth and healthy, no signs of disease at all.
-
Easter Traditions
Huntress
The owner of this house is obsessed with Easter. But does she really know about traditional baked goods? I hope it's not a trap, like Hansel and Gretel's house of candy. Find out what kind of pastry she was trying to make. Find the molds for baking the pastries.
This is the mold used to bake a sheep-shaped cake for Easter. So, an elegant noble lady baked her own Easter cake for the whole town. Who was she?
-
Master confectioner
Inspector
You mentioned in your invitation that the mysterious master of this mansion is waiting for you to make pastries. I don't recall many noble ladies cooking for themselves. Find the pastry-making utensils and find out if she wrote the truth. Find the measuring spoons.
This measuring spoon has the same initials as the one embroidered on the napkin. And it's made of silver. Noble ladies used to bake their own pastries!
-
guest
Juliette
I was just thinking about the invitation written by the mysterious nobleman, dear friend! It's very exciting. Let's help the detective gather evidence that she was involved. Did you see the postcard with the scent of something smeared on it? Was it, uh... cinnamon perfume?
Look, there's a pre-written invitation stuck in this lovely card holder! There's no doubt about it. The owner of this house really invited us to dinner.
-
Excellent assistant
Anna Weber
I love this job and I want to complete this breastplate in time, but I can't work on it without a threader. It also has to be my own special one. It must be around here somewhere. Can you please find it?
You have found my own threader! You are a kind soul. Thanks to you, I will soon be able to start work on completing the breastplate.
-
first impression
Martha
The best way to learn about the master of the house is to examine his clothing. At the very least, you should be able to tell their gender. A cane will tell you the age of the person. A uniform will tell you the job title... Let's start with the headgear. Find the householder's hat!
I've seen these hats before. They were all the rage among women when I was finishing school. So the owner of this house is an elegant lady. Look, this hat is decorated with Easter flowers! The hostess definitely has something to do with the holiday.
-
Handmade Clues
Detective
By examining the belongings, we can learn a lot about their owners. I'll examine the objects here to determine what kind of person the mysterious owner of this mansion is. For example, there are a number of items embroidered with combination letters. They may be just embroidery, but they may also symbolize status. Look for the combination letter embroidery in the hall.
There's a combination letter embroidered on the napkin! You see these initials on a lot of things. That means they were made to order. Only rich people can do that.
-
lightning rod
Conductor
According to the drawings, the lightning rod is a fairly simple design. It can be quickly assembled, but it will require a sturdy steel rod. We can get one from the mansion's fence, but it would be better to do it at night so that the mistress and Juliet won't notice.
You mean you didn't even have to saw through the steel bars, just shake them enough to get them out? Even the most expensive house in town is in as much disrepair as the rest... I've got a lightning rod ready, but it's pretty unwieldy. But it will work. Just make sure you experiment away from the station.
-
Finding Tools
Valerie
I quickly realized that I needed to show the book to you and Isabelle. It contained detailed instructions on the effects, invocation, and dissipation of a paranormal phenomenon called the electrum. But it sounds like you need a lot of equipment, but I don't know where to get it. I'll copy the names and visit the guide. I think he is the only one who understands what is what. We need a Tesla generator and a lightning rod.
A generator? There should be one. But I haven't used it in ages. Do me one favor and I'll look for it. It's a deal.
-
Nikola Tesla
Valerie
Hi, how are you doing? Are you still studying the paranormal? Then I have great news for you. Just promise me that the next time you and Isabelle do an experiment, you will take me with you. Absolutely! Follow me to the city hall. I have a book to show you...
See? A bookshelf dedicated to Nikola Tesla. I wasn't interested before, but now that there is such a thing in the city library, I'm interested. It was not in vain! I found a book that had only been published in five copies! As expected, this book was the most interesting.
-
The last riddle
Isabelle
One more riddle to solve and Mistress Peacock will be free from the magic of "bird catching." He who has a head but no heart. He who walks but cannot speak. When I heard the first part, I thought of the mistress. But she can speak. Martha says the clue is in the Indian piggy bank. Look for it in the "greenhouse."
The shape of the "Indian piggy bank" reminds me of something... ah, a piggy bank! The answer is coins. It has a head (front) and it goes from hand to hand. Now release Miss Peacock at once, you evil mage.
-
Kisses from guests
Lady
I wonder which riddle Miss Peacock got stuck on? I can't make the same mistake! The fourth riddle. "He to whom all guests kiss." I often have guests. But they only kiss my hand. Martha said she saw the answer in a copper tea tin. Find it!
The Copper Tea Tin, Who's the one kissing the customer? My goodness, it was a teacup in the box! Very clever riddle. Come on, we're almost there!
-
Flower of medicinal plants
Valerie
Judging from the illustrations in medieval documents, St. John's wort is also necessary for the ritual. This is not so simple a flower. The author writes that this flower has remarkable characteristics. St. John's wort probably grows all over town. Bring it to me.
Did you know that St. John's wort is a medicinal herb? It is a remedy for injuries, poisonings, and all manner of ailments. St. John's wort also purges the dark magic of the night and promotes sleep.
-
Flowers of the South
Valerie
Little fairies, as you know, really like flowers. So we need to gather fragrant flowers for the summoning ritual. First we need lavender. Go find it.
The lavender you brought me is mentioned in The Alchemist's Experiment. There they call this flower a fairy leaf and warn us to be very careful when using it.
-
The Monster of a Thousand Eyes
Huntress
If you can't solve the riddle, Miss Peacock will remain a bird forever. But watch out. The next riddle concerns a monster! "Only one, but with a thousand eyes." I hear a foolish spirit is whispering to Martha to find the "kitchen box"...find it anyway. I'll deal with the monster!
Show yourself, monster of the "kitchen box"! What? The riddle of "The One, but with a Thousand Eyes" is just a tea strainer? I was mistaken, my friend. But now the third riddle is solved.
-
Worthy Gifts
Martha
I'm going to call upon the spirits of good fortune during the ritual. They're in charge of deciding where and to whom to bestow good luck. We will give them a gift to acknowledge our efforts to help the croquis. The golden fleece would be an appropriate gift for them. I'll prepare the altar for the ceremony, can you go find it for me while I'm there?
You brought the golden fleece. Thank God! I've got the altar ready to lay out the offerings to the spirits, so all I need to do now is burn some incense. I hope Crocky doesn't get scared when he sees the spirits... unlike humans, cats can see them.
-
Upside Down Ship
Conductor
By any chance, do the other riddles of "bird catching" have anything to do with gophones and alcohol? Well, listen. The "little boat. Turn it over and it is filled, turn it up and it is empty." I've never seen a "boat." But Martha says the genie whispered something about a house-shaped box. Would you look for it?
Hmmm, let's see what kind of ship is hidden in this box...a hat? Bird catcher, that's a very clever riddle indeed! I guess if you solve all the riddles, Miss Peacock will really be free.
-
season that comes and goes
Doorkeeper
I have to save Miss Peacock from the evil magic of the "bird catcher". I hope the spirit of Martha will help me solve the riddles. The first riddle is this. "He who is born in summer, dies in autumn, and plays in winter. I am the Gatekeeper of Spring. But I know something about the other seasons. The spirits are hinting that there's a clue in the wisteria crane basket. Find it in the greenhouse!
I don't think the basket itself is the answer... there's a bottle of wine inside! Well, of course it is! Grapes ripen in the summer, they're picked in the fall, and they ripen as wine in the winter!
-
Legend of the Feather
Adeline Svensson
You are being too superficial! When did I say that "bird catchers" turned Miss Peacock into a mere little bird? Look what I found. The Aztecs considered "Quetzal" to be a sky god. But this bird would die if it was captured. Find me this precious bird!
The quetzal is a legendary bird. It is on the endangered species list. It would be perfect for Miss Peacock, that's for sure!
-
Noble rusticity
Monk
That girl, Juliet, is right. The nobility of Miss Peacock's heart will tell you which bird she was turned into. The most sublime quality she possesses is a noble simplicity. That princess does not often show that side of herself, though. According to this encyclopedia, such a quality is found in the "white-bellied starling." Could you look for it in the "greenhouse?"
The "white-bellied starling" is a modest and beautiful bird. Look at these shining feathers. Let's keep it here with the other candidates. This bird may well be the Peacock.
-
Fortunate Moments
Monk
Remember the saying, "It is good fortune to know how to take advantage of the opportunities you are given..." The ancient Greeks believed in Kairos, the god of "opportunity". If you find Kairos', I'll show you how to use it to bring good luck to your crooks.
Let me see what you brought. This Kairos one looks a lot like the one in the old book. It is said that carrying this will help you get lucky at the right time. From the looks of it, Crocky is an agile cat. Such skills will surely help him.
-
Energy to ward off evil
Valerie
Poor Crocky needs our help more than anything. We should definitely have a Hamsa amulet for the Martha ritual. Not only will it protect us from bad magic, but it has the power to bring us good luck. Let's look for it!
I did it! This is a genuine Hamsa amulet. Looks like the Goddess of Fortune has smiled on us! See the elephant in the middle? The elephant is a symbol of wisdom and prosperity. The power of the amulet should ward off misfortune.
-
koto of sorrow
Juliette
You are trying to find out which bird Miss Peacock was turned into, aren't you? My dear friend, why do you only want to look at the form? That princess has a beautiful heart! For example, her single-minded love for the one she loves. Is there any bird that could have a heart like that? I think it's the cuckoo. Can you help me find it?
That's a lovely coco bird. She looks so sad. It's as if she is longing for her beloved. But you can't call her Miss Peacock now, can you?
-
younger brother
Valerie
I don't think Miss Peacock could have been turned into a peacock. But they could have turned her into a similar bird, couldn't they? Let me see that encyclopedia for a minute! Here's a bird called a "nystercatcher"...heh, that's a hard name to pronounce in English. This bird looks just like its brother, the peacock! This uh, this Himalayan... let's call it a rainbow pheasant. Can you look for this bird in the "greenhouse"?
Piyo-piyo... "Nijikiji" is as beautiful as a peacock. I don't know if this is Miss Peacock or not. Let's keep it as a candidate for now, okay?
-
bird's crest
Detective
You only have one chance to guess which bird Miss Peacock has been turned into. First, we must choose a suitable candidate. Even if she was turned into a bird, there must be some trace of the princess left behind. The crown, for example! I've been searching all over Adeline's dictionary. The bird with the most magnificent crown is the tundra tundra. Did you see it in the greenhouse?
The golden spikes on this Rancho's head look just like a crown. But I doubt if this lovely fellow is Miss Peacock's princess. Anyway, let's keep him here for a while. Let's continue.
-
weak defense
Adeline Svensson
It seems to me that Miss Peacock could have escaped from the "greenhouse" and out of harm's way if she had taken off those shoes. But what was the "bird catcher" going to do to her? She could have tried to defend herself with whatever was there, right? Let's look for a fan. She always had it with her. Look for that fan in the "greenhouse.
Miss Peacock's fan is very fragile. If she had used it to protect herself, the feathers would have come apart. But it hasn't broken at all. Here is her note. I feel strangely light. The sky is calling me.
-
Shoes that are not practical.
Conductor
I'll make you tell me what the "bird catcher" did to Miss Peacock! I can't believe it. I can't believe that the princess took off her, well, her clothes. If he had laid a finger on her I think I would have seen her uncomfortable shoes in the greenhouse. You know, the ones called "paducas". She wouldn't have been left barefoot, would she? I need to find those shoes!
When it comes to women, how can they stand in shoes like padukas? Oh, here's Miss Peacock's scribble again. 'Feet tied to a belt. Not a belt, yes, but a chain.
-
Double Deal Apology
Roger Doubledeal
Crocky was like family to me. I should have been a better friend to him...then we could have made a lot more money together. I give you my gratitude jar. If you use this in your Martha ritual, it should bring good luck to Crocky. I am sure Crocky will be very pleased.
The gratitude jar I gave you was given to me by a magician. It is said that if you fill this jar with gems while chanting your wish, it will come true. I have already made my wish too. That Crocky will meet a kind owner and have good luck...
-
Chilli Charm
Martha
It's still going to take a while for enough good luck to accumulate in the gyroscope in the clock. In the meantime, Crocky continues to be hounded by bad luck... I'm going to perform a ritual to attract good luck to Crocky, can you go find me the magic items I need?
The croquis now needs more than anything the amulet of chili peppers you brought us. The pungent aroma of chili cleanses the air of negative energies. Not only that, but these amulets also strengthen the spirit and protect the owner from the evil eye. With this, you can rest assured that your croquis will be in good hands.

wring the neck
Martha
Just now I saw something that made me uneasy...Miss Peacock was holding her neck in pain. She was wearing a "feather necklace" around her neck. Her face was contorted with fear. She was about to scream something...I can't stand the thought of the "bird catcher" strangling the princess. Look for that colorful "feather necklace.
In the scene I saw, the peacock girl was wearing this "feather necklace". How did the "bird catcher" get her to take it off? Here is her note. "No voice, no breath, the words are leaving me.
-
Feathered bangles
Detective
The "bird catcher" is a lying scoundrel. But he doesn't look like a robber to me. And there's no sign of a struggle in the greenhouse. We even threatened him with an interrogation, but he still insists that Miss Peacock walked out of here. By the way, I think I saw the princess's bracelet here. Please find it.
This beautiful but impractical bracelet belongs to Miss Peacock, man. Why did she have to remove it in the "greenhouse"? Here's another note. "She throws her hands out but they don't obey. The ring falls off too."
-
Robbery in broad daylight
Juliette
What in the world did the "bird catcher" do to Miss Peacock? She doesn't seem strong enough to handle it by force. Did he lure her to the greenhouse and attack her in some devious scheme? Let's search her belongings. Find out what jewelry she was wearing... the princess used to wear diamond earrings with feathers. Find them, dear friend!
Perhaps the "bird catcher" distracted the princess and took her earrings? Oh, I have Miss Peacock's handwritten note. "My ears are ringing and my eyes are dizzy." What in the world did he do to her?

unsuitable smell
Adeline Svensson
I am a journalist. I know a few ways to gather information. What do you think the "bird seller" is hiding? We know he was trying to get birds for hunting. And that he probably clipped the birds' feathers. Wait a minute...what is that smell? That smells weird for a greenhouse. Pine needles! Go find it.
I have some knowledge of art. Pine needles are used by musicians and ballerinas. It is also used to polish floorboards. But you won't find bows or floorboards in a greenhouse. Why do "bird sellers" need these things?
-
Wanas!
Detective
My detective instincts are telling me. We're being duped, pal! Miss Peacock is missing. This shady "bird seller" says he had nothing to do with it. But I think I saw a bird trap in the "greenhouse." Why would a mere bird seller need such a thing? I'll find that trap!
Yes, that's right, it's a bird trap! You don't need such a cunning tool to sell birds. The dealer is hiding something. And about the disappearance of Miss Peacock.
-
don't count on two things: one, two, three
Huntress
I don't like it. That "bird seller" says he's innocent, but something's not right. We searched the greenhouse and found no weapons. But that doesn't mean he's harmless. Even scissors, for example, can be a dangerous weapon in the hands of a master! By the way, I saw a pair of scissors in the "greenhouse. Can you get them for me?
I've read about it. In Persia, they use scissors like these to cut paper and cloth. But a "bird seller" is neither a writer nor a tailor. Come to think of it, these scissors are also used to cut feathers...

A place to relax
Juliette
Oh my God. That black cat almost got run over by a carriage the moment it crossed in front of me. It wasn't just an accident, was it? But the cat was scared too. Could you go find me a cat bed so that the cat can feel safe?
You found a great cat bed! With it, you won't have to chase the cat around town. When they get tired, they'll come back to take a nap on their own. But please be nice to him. It's best to treat a cursed cat with love.
-
The strongest sedative
Professor
I have brought a gurgling device of my own invention. If that black cat gets out of line, this device should quiet it right down. Here, let me show you how to use it.
This device is designed to calm cats. It works better than any medicine. Did you know that? The sound of a cat purring can cure neurosis and even insomnia. If the cat gets out of control during the capture, you can use this. It should calm down immediately.
-
tame the beast
Inspector
What you found was a "falconer's shackle". It reminds me of a story I heard from some friends who used to be hunters. They tame birds of prey by putting hats on them. It calms the birds down. That's how they get them to hunt other small animals. I wonder what the dealers are involved in. Look for "hawk hats."
This "hawk hat" is brand new. There appears to be no evidence that it was used to tame a bird of prey. Does this mean that the "bird seller" intended to buy a bird of prey?
-
Bird shackles
Lady
I would like to believe that the bird seller was just another bird seller, an unlucky one who had some misunderstanding. I understand your skepticism. You don't think the seller is who he says he is, do you? Take a look at his tools. I've seen "bird shackles" somewhere. Can you help me find it?
I thought it was a "bird shackle" for pigeons to wear to keep them from wandering off. These are the shackles of a hawk! And it even has the mark of the owner on it! I wonder if the seller even sells birds of prey?
-
Seeking Profit
Cardsharp
What brings this mysterious figure to the "greenhouse"? This is not the place to look for motive, my sharp-eyed friend. This card cheater knows that. These people are always looking for a profit. If you want proof, look for the money in the "greenhouse. I'm guessing the victim brought a bag full of coins?
Well, whoever had this "embroidered sack" must have been wealthy. The bag is full of gold coins. Someone came to the "greenhouse" to buy something.
-
I don't have time to read poetry.
Juliette
Dear friends, the "greenhouse" had a funny visitor. I can't believe you brought hot tea for two in the rain, and even brought a water container for the birds. I saw a little book somewhere with an expensive cover. I wondered why there was such a thing in the "greenhouse" with the birds. Let's find that one!
This collection of poems has not been affected by the humidity in the "greenhouse." That means the book was brought here recently. It probably belongs to someone who was involved in the case.
-
A Little Hospitality
Conductor
In other words, someone came to this "greenhouse" in the rain. And that person had a teapot. Why? Was it tea for a tea party by any chance? If he was visiting a friend here, he might have brought something for the birds. Maybe a feeder, or maybe a water container... look for it?
This water container is much smaller than the others in the "greenhouse." It's also easier to carry. So, in short, the victim knew there were birds here and came prepared?
-
caught red-handed
Detective
We've made some progress in our investigation. We found traces of someone who visited this "greenhouse". But is this guy the killer or the victim? We need to find out more! I saw a cloud of steam rising up in the bushes. It was coming from some kind of pot. Something like a teapot. Find it.
I knew it was the teapot! This tea is still warm. Whoever brought this is definitely nearby. Who the hell walks around town with a teapot?

Delicious toys
Huntress
Every student needs free time. That's why I want my pet to find a bone. So that he can chew on them in his free time.
Bones! I can even smell the meat. It's going to be tough to get it out of that puppy. You've got the perfect job for me.
-
wet mark
Inspector
Valerie is a novice when it comes to manipulation, but everything she says is correct. The items in the "greenhouse" could be a clue to identifying the person who sent the bird for help. Look for items that have evidence of recent use. For example, it rained yesterday. There must be a wet umbrella. Look for it in the greenhouse. It will give you a clue.
This expensive looking umbrella is still wet from last night's rain. This means that someone has been in this "greenhouse" just recently. But was it last night or an hour ago?

Talent to travel
Lady Peacock
Icy and her friends must help write the Christmas plot into the magic book. To open that magic book, they must find a talent stone! One of Santa's students is a master of guiding us through Christmas. His talent will be reflected in the jewel of the journey. Ah, but Nicholas has hidden the stone really well in the school. You'll have to find it!
With this travel gem and other talent stones, Icy will build her Christmas caretaker gem again. I hope our wizards will be of help to her.
-
Importance of Tradition
Icy
If my friend had not had the gift of preserving the legends of Christmas, I would not have known about the integration ritual. I would not have been able to create Nicholas' stone. We must look for the gem of knowledge. It will prove his talent. His talent as a keeper of knowledge! Can you find the stone somewhere in the school?
Only those who have perfectly learned and memorized all the legends of Christmas can produce this gem of knowledge. Without it, it will be difficult to follow the traditions of Christmas.

Cat Weaknesses
Huntress
Hey, I actually had a cat when I was a kid. One day the cat disappeared and I couldn't find it for a long time, but I put a bag of matatabi near the house and it came back because of the smell. I bet it would help you catch a black cat too.
You found it! See, you can smell it, can't you? The smell of matatavi fills a cat with a sense of euphoria. Once the black cat notices this smell, it will come straight for you.

My favorite snack
Valerie
If you want to lure an animal, a tasty treat is the best way to do it! Eddie loves to chew on cookies, too. Even if you fail to lure the cat with a toy, it will surely come to you when it is hungry and smells the treat. Go find some fish-shaped cookies!
Those cookies look pretty tasty. They're colorful and shaped like fish. You've found a good one! Look, Eddie is drooling too. We have so many, can I give some to Eddie? Don't worry. I'll save some for the cat.
-
fake rat
Detective
Buddy, to find out why the watch was attached to the cat's collar, you're going to have to catch the cat! I'm told it went on quite a rampage, so chasing it down may be a challenge. Let's lure it in with a mouse toy!
With this mouse toy, I'm sure the cat will come around. We'll catch him while he's playing with it. Be careful and quick, that's the most important thing.

Indispensable hangers
Anna Weber
I see that you can help me find the tools I need to attach the decorations to the breastplate. With your help, we can probably finish your requested item in time. First of all, we need a thread hanger. Can you help us find them?
I'm so glad you found the thread hanger! Thank you so much! If I can find a few more sewing tools, I will be able to complete the embroidered breastplate requested by a customer.

Watch your step.

The designer had a talented apprentice. Unfortunately, he died during the construction of the designer's mansion and is now a ghost guarding the treasure cache. It's hard to believe, but...oh, I almost slipped and fell! Look, there are slippery tiles on the sidewalk.
What a beautiful glossy tile! However, this is not something that should be laid on the sidewalk. They are very slippery. By the way, according to legend, the apprentice also slipped and fell to his death. What a story! He had talent, but he was not so lucky.

The Universe in Your Hands
Vera
I know how to make a memory charm. All you need to do is collect a few key items that will remind him of the foggy back streets, his fellow gatherers, and me. Oh, and by the way, I'm sure there's a space ammonite in there somewhere... can you bring it to me?
So they found ammonites. Pretty interesting, isn't it? I found it in the fog and gave it to Todd. It's a symbol of our dream to one day leave the city and travel the world. And for that reason, we don't want him to be defeated by the voice calling to him from the fog.

countdown
Isabelle
To bring about Christmas, we need to gather the five Talent Stones and perform an "emergency" integration ritual to bring them together. Icy is a powerful enough child. But she can't do it without our help. Find the gem of accuracy. One of the kids we helped had a talent for measuring how long it would take for Christmas to arrive.
The gem of precision leads the Christmas countdown as if it has an absolute time of its own. I love precision. It avoids a lot of mistakes.
-
The beauty that resides in everything.
Valerie
If I collect the talent stones, can I really call up Nicholas' lost stone? One of Santa's students has a talent for making the best gifts. Santa wanted me to be his assistant. Well, I can't help it... Nicholas hid the stone very carefully. Can you help me find the gem of beauty?
The gem of beauty shows that the maker of this stone has become a true master of making beautiful gifts! Do you think I could be one someday?
-
Keeper of Wishes
Icy
School records described an "emergency" integration ritual at Christmas. It was created in case something happened that would cause the loss of the talent stone. We need the talent stone hidden in the school and the stone that Nicholas took away. I will explain the names of the talent stones and how to identify these. Let's start with the gem of empathy.
My talent is watching over the Christmas wishes of people all over the world. When that talent was at its peak, I created this gem of empathy. And I began to feel people's wishes as if they were my own!

Card Prophecy
Martha
Before we destroy the shell that protects the core of this clock, I want to line up the tarot cards to see if now is the best time to perform the ritual. The success of the ritual depends on you gathering all the necessary materials. Now, draw a card.
You drew a card with the Wheel of Fortune on it. This is a good sign! Everything is going to be fine. Every time a medium performs a ritual, he or she dedicates a little time of his or her life. And it fulfills the never-ending power of Eternity. The more complex the ritual, the more time you have to dedicate.
-
The delicate process of medicine making
Martha
The spirit of time didn't tell me if the magic hidden in the core of the clock was dangerous or not. In order to destroy the shell that protects the core, I must first make it visible. To do that, I need to make an exposure potion, but for that I need a potion mixer. Can you help me find it?
I've been wanting a tool like this for a while. Thanks for finding it for me! Now, we have all the ingredients we need. Now all we need to do is mix them together and let it sit long enough and we'll have an exposure potion.
-
Energy Distribution
Martha
You mentioned that this watch was taken from an unlucky cat? I'm sure the cat was under the influence of this clock. If we can destroy the invisible shell that protects the core of the clock, then we will know how dangerous the magic of this clock can be. But you see, this ritual cannot be performed without the cross.
Wow, you managed to find a crucifix! This was used by ancient priestesses and sorcerers. With this, we should be able to evenly distribute the magic that flows into the clock in the ritual.
-
Brittle areas
Martha
The black cat on this clock appears to be partially magically painted. But because it's protected by an invisible force, I can't tell if it was black magic or sacred magic that was used. I think if you bring me a crystal scanner I can break the shell protecting the core...
Thank you! This crystal scanner is a rare item. With it, we can find the fragile part of the shell that protects the core of the watch. Then we can figure out how to destroy the shell.
-
magic bullet
Martha
Do you hear that tick-tock sound? Every cog in this clock is powered by magic. But the core of this magical device is protected by an invisible shell. Without destroying it, we will never be able to tell the nature of the magic behind the clock. I'm going to perform a ritual. Can you bring me some moon dust?
The moon dust you brought me was not actually collected from the surface of the moon. What you have in the bottle is a mixture of magical ingredients that have absorbed the light energy of seven full moons. I am going to draw a magic circle with this moon dust and place a clock inside.

gambling king
Roger Doubledeal
Have you heard of Ludrig? He used voodoo magic to manipulate the outcome of horse races! When the black cat appeared, I immediately thought of his face. If you could take the horse racing trophy from the shelf in the compartment, I will tell you how he got it.
This trophy was given to me for winning a big bet at a local racetrack. We made a bet on whether his magic or my good luck would win, and I won. But Ludwig would have sent me something much scarier than a black cat. Don't you think so?
-
Battle of the brains
Roger Doubledeal
I believe that the person who sent the black cat to me was the one who was known as the "Invincible Grandmaster". I beat him at chess and took away his title of "Grandmaster". He was outraged and tried to kill me with the trophy I had won. Here, look at this. You see how the horns are chipped off from the impact of that?
See, you know I am not lying. It means that I hit him so hard that he chipped a corner. But in the end he apologized to me. I was given a small reimbursement for the physical and emotional trauma, and I forgave him.
