  • Spinach Cocktail

    Martha

The next ingredient in the magic-free recipe to improve vision is Spinach. I'll squeeze the juice from these leaves using my own strength.

    Oriental Temple

  • Careful Exploration

    Juliette

Let's look around the Greenhouse, mon ami. If someone asked for help, we could find them or at least their trail. I doubt the Greenhouse has an emergency exit to leave the building unnoticed. But be careful. If something happened in there, we could be in danger too.

There are many exotic birds and plants in the Greenhouse. I also see various unusual things from different parts of the world. But I can't see anyone who could leave a note with a plea for help. Where could they have gone? I think it's time to call the investigators!

    Greenhouse

  • Vexatious Blots

    Lady Peacock

We couldn't see each other often, so we wrote to one another regularly. I even gave him special peacock feather quills so that the would remember me every time he wrote something. Will you find them?

These peacock feathers were also cursed. Once my beloved started to write me a letter; the feathers were broken, there were blots on the sheet and the ink dried up in the inkwell, Someone really wanted to prevent us from talking.

    The Hotel

  • Blackened Stones

    Lady Peacock

Something inexplicable started happeneing to my favourite things. I once had a necklace made of Indian gems. My boyfriend said it made me more beautiful than the dawn. Look for it in the Hotel and I'll tell you what happened.

This perfect necklace is the skillful creation of Indian craftsmen. Its gems are lustrous; yet almost overnight, most of the gems became black. As if something filled the gems with black anger and envy.

    The Hotel

  • Following the Fiery Trail

    Isabelle

As soon as I reached the steps to Jack's Tower, I felt the resence of an ancient entity. It's time we go upstairs and find out the source of this sinister flame. Be careful Halloween is a restless time when danger and fun go hand in hand!

We discovered a magical clock floating in the magic currents at the top of the Tower. That's the source of the fiery flashes that frightened the townsfolk. Look! The clock's hands are moving slower and slower... For some reason, I don't even want to think about what happenes when they stop.

    Jack's Tower

  • Dry Flowers

    Lady Peacock

I belived nothing could stop our love. However strange troubles continued. Once, my beloved and I bought a vase in an antique Indian shop. Find it somewhere in the Hotel.

This Indian Vase is beautiful, isn't it? However, we soon discovered that the flowers in it withered very quickly. In just a day, the blossoming bouquet turned in dry and lifeless.

    The Hotel

  • Broken Jewel

    Lady Peacock

My beloved once gave me a wonderful box, adorned with a peacock made of precious stones; but unfotrunately a sad fate awaited this gift. You'll see for yourself when you find it.

This elegant Peacock Box is itself a jewel. I took great care of this token. Imagine my disapointement when I discovered that the box was broken. It was as if someone wanted to take my most precious possession away from me.

    The Hotel

  • Broken Couple

    Lady Peacock

After the ill-fated ball, where my beloved and I first saw the Mistress of the Manor, strange things started happeneing to us. Our gifts to each other, letters, any symbols of love were lost, broken of spoiled. For example, a pair of handmade wine glasses. Find them and you'll see for yourself.

I gave these handmade glasses to my beloved so that he'd always remember me. One of the wine glasses broke in less than a week. It was as if something prevented them from being together.

    The Hotel

  • Troll Nature

    Agvid Hanson

I decided not to give up and went looking for the box with the stolen energy. When I found out that the nature spirits had already appointed a new gatekeeper, I was furious. I even stole the triquetra they presented to the newcomer. Here, take it, I return what was stolen!

    Sunny Terrace

  • Cold in the Heart

    Agvid Hanson

I didn't purposefully kill these Campaunula flowers by turning them into dead glass. Back then, I didn't know that a troll's touch is fatal to plants. So the nature spirits, not seeing any warmth in my heart, drove me away.

    Sunny Terrace

  • A Blow Below the Belt

    Mistress

I don't want to frighten you, but I think I'm finally aboe to achieve my goal. The odd couple, Lady Peacock and her admirer, challenged my magical abilities, so I was left with only one option... Bring me the ring and I'll tell you a secret.

This ring has a secret hiding place, and in it, there is an odourless and tasteless powder. It causes an unfailing love attaction; but that stubborn Englishman was not affected in the slightest!

    The Hotel

  • Eloquent Gestures

    Mistress

I decided to attact Lady Peacock's companion. So I started giving him tokens of attention, using the language of the fan. It always worked smoothly, especially since my fan is enchanted. Bring it to me.

Here's my magical fan! Unfortunately the young Englishman was immune to my charm. It was the first time my advances remained unanswered. I also observed that the officer and Lady Peacock barely spoke during the ball and didn't even dance.

    The Hotel

  • Intoxicating Aroma

    Mistress

Until now, no man could resist my charms, but Lady Peacock's companion was out of my control. I decided to use a perfume made by a special perfumer. Its flavour is able to deprive his mind. Find it and you'll soon see.

Here it is - the Perfume iwth a special fragrance. This fragrance conquered all except Lady Peacock's companion. There was no one for him but her and I noticed that the feeling was mutual.

    The Hotel

  • Bloody Luster

    Mistress

It was strange that there was a gentleman who wasn't paying me any attention at the ball. I wore a necklace with diamonds and blood-red rubies. When I wear it, no man can resist me. Bring it and see for yourself.

This is my gorgeous necklace. Do you like it? I thought so. The young officer who accompanied Lady Peacock, however, remained indifferent to it. I realised that despite their external restraint, they were in love with each other.

    The Hotel

  • A Peak of Popularity

    Mistress

There's one particular ballroom custom where a man presents the lady with a ribbon with bells as an invitation to dance. Usually by mid-evening, I normally have all the gentlemen's ribbons; but to my surprise, I never received a single ribbon. Bring me the Ribbon with Bells.

Did you bring me the Ribbon with Bells? At the ball I was supposed to get the same one from the young English officer, who came with Lady Peacock. It was obvious that he was just accompanying her as part of his official duties.

    The Hotel

  • Filling the Glasses

    Lady Peacock

In my country women do not eat together with men. They only bring the food and pour drinks. At a gala dinner in honour of my engagement to the British Minister, I poured wine from a special jug. Keep looking, it's somewhere in the Hotel.

Its from this jug that I filled the bowl of the young English officer. My heart fluttered just from being close to him. Impreceptibly, he took my hand and looked at me; it was then that I realised that the love was mutual.

    The Hotel

  • Dances for the Guests

    Lady Peacock

I volunteered to dance for the guests and my arranged groom. It was also a change to see the young officer again. In India, a mondatory accessory for the dance are payals - bracelets for the feet. Find them.

You've found them! I danced, the Payals jingled, the young English officer couldn't take his eyes off me and my heart sanga! Is he in love too? Unfortunately my parents had already set a date for the wedding.

    The Hotel

  • Indian Music

    Lady Peacock

I've never told anyone this story, but since it's so important for you, keep listening. Father asked us to play for our distinguished guests and for my fiance to play on the Indian Sitar. Keep looking, the Sitar should be somewhere in the Hotel.

I once played the Sitar for our English guests. The young officer didn't take hid eyes off me, and I shared a private moment with him whenever he was around.

    The Hotel

  • Precious Gift

    Lady Peacock

Do you think that my past is the reason for the Mistress' obsession? My life was monotonous for so long until my father decided to marry me off to a British Minister. For he needed a good relationship with the mother country. Find my Tikka, she's the one who changed my life.

The Tikka you found was a wedding gift from the British Minister. It adorns the forehead of the bride on the wedding. The Minister asked his aid, a young officer, to bring the rich gifts to our house. But when our eyes met, my whole life changed. It was love at first sight.

    The Hotel

  • Symbol of Happiness

    Lady Peacock

Thank you for your interest in me. My story is really unusual. I was born in India and sometimes, in this strange Hotel, there are things from my homeland. For example, I recently saw Traces of Lakshmi. Find them, and I'll tell you all about them.

You've found Traces of Lakshmi. My family holds a high position in India, so my mother always decorates our house with traces of Lakshmi made from precious stones. Hindus believe that this symbol attacts the blessing of love, beauty, wealth and good fortune.

    The Hotel

  • Bumblebee-bird

    Lady Peacock

I now have hope that all my beautiful birds will return. You have adifficult task ahead of you. My aviary had exotic Hummingbirds. They're very small and fast. Can you find them?

It's unbelievable! You managed to find my birds; even the tiny Hummingbird! These little birds hover in flight over the fragrant flowers and drink their nectar.

    The Hotel

  • Clean Lines

    Lady Peacock

Before the quarrel with the Mistress, I loved watcheing my swans swimming in the bay. I sometimes think that they're still there. Please, find at least one of my swans.

Thank you! The white Swan came back to me, and there's his mate is the bay. You know that these noble birds make a couple for life? If one dies, the second one dies of anguish.

    The Hotel

  • Living Gems

    Lady Peacock

In my aviary there was a Bird of Paradise. I hope it is still somewhere in the Hotel. Give it back to me please.

Thank you for finding my Bird of Paradise! Come here, my dear. An excellent copy. You know, there are places where a lot of Birds of Paradise live. Gathering in a flock, they resemble a scattering of precious stones.

    The Hotel

  • Blue Crown

    Lady Peacock

The second bird that disappeared from my aviary is the Crowned Pigeon. A very beautiful bird. Find it if you can.

I can't believe my eyes! MY Crowned Pigeon! Just look at him, isn't he handsome? He looks amazing, like a blue bird of happiness.

    The Hotel

  • Sovereign Gold

    Lady Peacock

The Mistress of the Manor wanted my birds, but they have a special signficance for me, so I refused her. She was very angry and all the birds were gone the next morning. Bring back my feathered friends. Start with the Golden Pheasant. It is the easiest to find because its golden feathers glisten in the sun.

Well done! You've found my Golden Pheasant. I pretty mush gave up on seeing him again. See the beautiful golden colours of his plumage.

    The Hotel

  • Horrible Transformation

    Agvid Hanson

I didn't manage to catch the troll and recover the stolen energy. I decided to seek help from the Maiden of Spring, but as soon as I brought my key to the Spring Gate, the keyhole was blocked by a door knocker in the form of a troll's head. I knocked it way, but a new one appeared. Come, I'll show you!

See for yourself, I'm telling the truth! The troll's head door knocker that you found was sent to me by the nature spirits. They hinted that those like me are not allowerd inside. When I saw my reflection, I was horrified. I'd turned into a troll myself!

    Sunny Terrace

  • Prisoner of the Obsevatory

    Juliette

Mon ami, I can also hear a woman screaming. I tried looking thought the window to see what's happening inside, but everything inside is flooded with white light, and I can only see terrible shadows moving inside the building. Let's enter the Observatory. Please, be careful. I don't think it's safe in there.

Look, everything in the Observatory is turned upside down! It looks like the aftermath of an explosion! Look up! A girl is floating in the air under the dome and an energy vortex is raging around her. Maybe Isabelle can figure out what happened here?

    Observatory

  • Mysterious Trial

    Isabelle

The strange scroll talked about achieving perfection. Doesn't this imply some kind of competition, dueling or special equipment? Let's take a closer look at the Japanese Garden to understand exactly what was meant by a "Trial".

The air smells so good here... Just look at these cherry trees, the carved Japanese house, the lanterns on the flowering branches and the pond full of live carp! But it's much more complicated than we imagined. I'm afraid that this Trial involves mastering various disciplines in the spirit of Japanese traditions.

    Japanese Garden

  • Hiding Faces

    Juliette

We're looking for a hat that belongs to the mysterious stranger the Detective saw at the Hotel. If those extravagant hats were not suitable, then it might be worth looking for a hat with a veil? They are worn by ladies who want to remain incognito.

Look, the hat you found has such a thick veil that you can't see the face under it. Unfortunately, the Detective argues that this hat does not look like the headwear belonging to the stranger from the Hotel.

  • The Third Riddle

    Professor

Only one riddle from the sphinx knocker now separates us from the Collector's precious drawings. Here it is: "My one end is chasing the thought, The other will turn its mark into naught." It's clearly about writing utensils. Let's find the answer!

You found the Stylus, the answer to the sphinx's last riddle! The pointed end of this stick is used to write on a was tablet, while the second one can erase the text.

    The Hotel

  • The Second Riddle

    Professor

To get into the house where the genius's drawings are stored, we need to find answers to the intricate riddles of the sphinx. Here's another: "Sisters hurry, beating time, Should stumble one, their work is gone." I have a hunch about where to find the answer.

    Enchanted Ball

  • The First Riddle

    Professor

The Collector's drawings are hidden behind the door, but it won't open until we solve the sphinx's riddles. The first reads like this: "A huge fang is sharp no more, And now is used like precious ore." Let's find the answer.

You found the Ivory Ball, the answer to the sphinx's riddle! Well done, assistant! We're one step closer to the precious drawings. Let's move on to the next riddle!

    Room of Fate

  • Ambush

    Detective

Are you okay? It's strange that the werewolves didn't even touch us. They just grabbed the invitation and ran away. It looks like they created an ambush, just waiting for us to find the invitation. but I don't understand why they'd need Alicia's wedding invitation? Let's find them! I want to figure out the story as soon as possible!

    Christmas Hall

  • Archive Dust

    Martha

I can't talk with the Bride's ghost any more - she's crying again! It's good that you know her name. Now we can search for her in the city's archives. City Hall holds the City Chronicles volume. Maybe we can find Alicia Cruz's wedding mentioned in it.

There's a glossary in the Chronicles, let's check it... Here she is - Alicia Cruz! Look, there's even an invitation attached from the wedding of Alicia Cruz and the baron...

    Rapture Theater

  • Wedding Ring

    Huntress

Look on her left hand, there should be a ring there! Where can we find the ghost girl's wedding ring? Well, if it's shiny and valuable, I'm sure the gargoyles have got their paws on it. They're very fond of jewellery. It wouldn't be easy to find we'll have to beat it out of the winged beasties.

Such a beautiful ring! Look, there's an engraving on the inner rim. "To Alicia Cruz - my beloved." Now we know the Bride's name!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Shadows and Sounds

    Huntress

We're at the Dungeon's entrance. Do you hear the faint sounds coming from deep in the dunnel? There's a lot a things hiding in there. Lately poisonous bats have been seen. Their bites are lethal so we'd better find the Bride's slipper before we run out of torches.

Look! There it is - a white wedding slipper. Let's take it back to Martha and see what she has to say about it.

    Station

  • Mysterious Clue

    Professor

I found a postcard with a cityscape in the mailbox today. The sender marked the house of the Collector with a pin. On the back, they wrote: "Aero section, 1/12." I'm sure that the genius himself wants to share his methods with me! Take a look. Where did the postcard go? Please help me find it!

Thank you! I hid the postcard so securely that I forgot where it was. I think the pin marks the place where the drawings are. Let's check!

    Pier

  • Preparing to Desecend

    Huntress

The fact that I'm still alive and well is thanks to my habit of not going into the Dungeons unprepared. It's not the most pleasant nor the safest of places. The first rule is to stock up on flares. Darknessis your greatest enemy in the Dungeons. I swear by my blade!

Good. Now we're ready to descend into the City's Dungeons. Follw me.

    Crystals

  • Huntress Saves The Day

    Martha

The Bride lost a slipper in the Dungeons? We definitely must find it. The dungeon specialist is our Frau Huntress. I don't really want her in my house but we have no other choice. She probably wouldn't want to come here either but I know what will sway her. I have a magical inextingushable lantern here somewhere. It's essential when going into the dungeons. Find it and offer it to the Huntress in exchange for her help.

Martha asks for my help? Actually me and her are ot great friends... But an inextinguishable kerosene lantern woul be really helpful. Okay, I'll go.

  • To See the Invisible

    Martha

Oh, I've never thought about it - The detective can't see the ghost. Well, noe everyone has that ability. Thank goodness the Collecor made a special ghostly visor. These glasses allow you to see ghosts. I saw a werewolf recently wearing a pair. I remember thinking that it was a very peculiar sight.

Nice glasses, that Collector of yours had real taste. Oh, and they even work! I can see the ghostly girl.

    Emperor's Palace

  • Ghost case #1

    Detective

I don't have time for you now. I'm too busy, sorry. I was just attacked by werewolves and dropped my lock picks. We need to find them by any means necessary or they'll fall into the wrong hands. I can't let that happen! So, no chats before the lock picks are found.

Now I'm relaxed and ready to listen. A crying ghost case? Hmm, sounds interesting. My practice has never taken on a ghost case before. Let's not waste any time.

    Cards of Fate

  • Crying Ghost

    Martha

The girl's spirit sometimes stops crying and will talk to me... but I can't understand a word she says! It's strange - I usually understand ghosts, even the silent ones. To remove the curse, a special ritual must be performed. This ritual is impossible to perform on your own, so will you help me?

(Martha rolled her eyes, clutched the amulet and suddenly spoke in high girlish voice, sobbing as if she's been crying for a long time) "For years I've been wandering around the City of Shadows as a ghost. I'm so tired and just want to die, but I can't. A greater force keeps me here. I beg every man I meet for help but only you have heard my calls and been able to understand me. In my mortal life I remember only one moment of happiness and then... terror and pain. I awoke in some dungeouns but managed to reach the surface... I beg you, help me."

    Emperor's Palace

  • Never say never

    Never say never

If you agree to descend into the Dungeons and save the lost girl, I will show you the key's hiding place. Quid pro quo. agree? Good, then listen. The cache is in the Dungeons under the Chest but you can only open it if you have a magical threefold amulet. If you put an amulet close to the cache, it starts glowing. But where to find this amulet I do not know.

I've kept my word and pointed you to the key's location. Now you keep your and save the girl who cries for help from the depths of the dungeons.

  • Frozen Memories

    Martha

Making film for the memory camera is a work of art! And I'm a seer, not an artist! But of course I can do it. Magical dust is, actually, a task for a novice magician but the coating process is a hassle. The dust goes everywhere and burns your eyes. I won't do it unless you bring me protective spectacles.

We have film. We can make one more photo and, hopefully, the Mayor will remember something about the Exploration Chest. There's a city square in the picture of Mayor's memories. The Mayor himself is in the middle of it but why is it so dark around him? What kind of a memory is this? Let's show him the photo.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Magic Photo

    Cardsharp

We need film for the camera - a special one coated with magic emulsion. It can't be found in the City these days but, luckily, I put one away for a rainy day. Find it.

Grea, now I can take a photo of the Mayor's memories. Mayor, sir, please take a look at that photo. Do you remember something?

    Angel Statue

  • Truth is out there

    Cardsharp

Once, the Camera of Memories was nearly stolen from me by boggarts. After that I hid it in a safe place. It's time to find the Camera and use it to help the Mayor's Ghost recall the past.

We need to take a picture of the Mayor. The photos will reveal one of his memories. Some of the pictures may help him remember his past. And if he remembers, he'll tell us the key's location.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • The Seal of the Past

    Martha

I could conduct a seance and summon the Mayor's spirit. To do so I need a couple of items that still bear his essence... As Mayor, he must have possessed the City?? Seal and the Key to the City. First, you should find the Seal.

What a beautiful thing! It features the City's ancient emblem. However, the seal has worn down over the years and I can't make out the detail. No matter, I'm sure it'll prove useful.

    Crystals

  • Old photos

    Cardsharp

How can we find this mysterious Keeper? A wonderful idea has crossed my mind! There are portraits of famous city dwellers in the City Hall. You could compare them with the picture from the newspaper.

    Pier

  • Cearch the Past

    Cardsharp

Did you open the City Dungeons doors? I've leaned that the City's Exploration Chest is there, with the artifacts that can change the City's rules. I've found it, but it's locked and there's no key. Maybe old records will tell us where it may be?

You found a piece of a newspaper? It's at least a hundred years old and has almost completely faded. I'll try to read it but I need to find my golden pince-nez.

    City Hall

  • Valuable Cargo

    Isabelle

Well, here's what I managed to find out. Vasco Da Gama attacked the ship and robbed it, as well as killed the crew. The ghosts asy that a Golden Kiwano, which was being brought as a present for the Sultan, was among the things stolen. If you manage to find another one, they'll tell us where to find the ghost of Vasco Da Gama. However, I have no idea what the Golden Kiwano looks like - I've never seen anything like that. So, will you take part in the search?

So this is the Golden Kiwano? We always called it a golden horned melon. It's a valuable item. I'll tell the ghosts that our search has been a success.

    Diggers' Stash

  • Companion

    Cardsharp

I'm not overly keen about third parties joining us, my friend. Nobody lieks to share a secret, not to mention a profit... But do what you want. Maybe the Huntress will prove to be useful since she knows something about the diggers.

Oh mein Gott, I knew the diggers reappeared for a reason. The treasures from their cache sound very tempting, but with the Cardsharp on board as well... Hmm. I need to think about this.

    Station

  • Hurrying to Help

    Detective

Mike Stone lived up to his name and turned into real stone. But I still feel sorry for the poor guy. Although, on the other hand, Juliette is safe now. I think it's time to head back to the hall and see if we can bring everyone back to life!

No dice! We can't help them. I tried to smash the Gorgon's head, but it's protected by strong magic, invulnerable to weapons!

    Enchanted Ball

  • A Glass Tear

    Detective

What should I believe? My eyes, or the iron logic of a detective? Are these living people or just statues that seem alive? Look! Something flashed next to one of them and fell onto the floor.

Just look at that. It's a tear! But it's made of glass! What magic is happeneing in thie place? Martha has to help us this time!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Victory Seal

    Detective

I don't feel so good! The gorgon's cruel gaze is penetrating right through me, and I can't move! Soon I'll be the newest addition to the Enchanged Hall's secret collection. Save yourself! Protect yourself with the gleaming seal!

Did you see? The gorgon closed her eyes as soon as you used the gleaming seal! It looks like you made the right choise, buddy.

    Enchanted Ball

  • An Evil Phenomenon

    Detective

We're finally at this dammed ball! Look... the champagne is still sparkling in the glasses but there's not a single person here - just statues. It looks like all the guests disappeared a second ago. We need to throughtly investigate what happened here.

What's this? I can't believe it... That's not a chandelier, it's a gorgon's head! These ghosts definitely have a sense of humour. A gorgon appeared in the hall! It must be the eveil Martha was so afraid of!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Visiting the Ball

    Detective

The portal is open, and now we can get into the ghostly ball. But this is a one-way ticket if ever I saw one! If our heartbeats end with the chime of the clokc, then how can we go through the portal and remain alive? Maybe we could use the Beating Heart potion. Juliette said someone brought it as a gift for the Mistress.

    To your health, buddy!

    Manor House Gate

  • Getting to the Ball

    Detective

You hear that? It's almost midnight, and the sounds of music and the clatter of wheels are coming from the Manor. It seems Juliette was right - it really is happeneing. Now I just have to untangle this story, even if I have to take the whole Manor to pieces to do it! Let's use the Master's and Dr. Frankenstein's invites to pay the ball a visit.

I'll remember this outing for a long time. I haven't been this afraid for years! But it seems as though nothing has changed in the Mysterious Hall! The figures are still motionless, everything is still covered in dust and cobwebs, but I hear the sound of voices and footsteps! What can we do?

    Enchanted Ball

  • Hidden Passage

    Angelique

The woman in the mask and cloak turned into a dead end t the edge of the fog. She stopped in front of the blockage obstructing the path, took out some object from her pocket, and then seemed to melt into the stones. I saw a similar object - it's a direction scanner, find it.

The woman in the mask and cloak used such a direction scanner to find a passage through the blockage, which was invisible to the eye. It took me a while, but I found the passage without this instrument and ended up in an unfamiliar place.

    Atelier Delamode

  • Firm Steps

    Angelique

I did not approach the woman in the mask and cloak, but I oculd clearly see where was going. Her steps ignited sparks from the pavement. I suppose her shoes had special heeltaps, like Kira Woodville's. Kira should have a store of such heeltaps, look around.

A good heeltap not only allows a shoe to last longer, but also turns it into a means of self-defense, says Kira. I don't know whether the woman in the mask and cloak used the heeltaps for this purpose, but she walked very decisively.

    Atelier Delamode

  • Protected by the Crystals

    Angelique

The woman did carry something luminous. And she turned into an alley full of the fog without putting on a breathing apparatus. It was dangerous; she might have needed help. This was evidenced by the readings of the fog activity indicator. Find it.

This is Carlos Light's fog activity indicator. He asked me to take measurements in different parts of the City. The fog activity in the alley where the woman went was high, but she did not stop. This means she must have been protected by anti-fog crystals.

    Atelier Delamode

  • Light in the Darkness

    Mr. Black

The woman in the mask and cloak could've been carrying a similar illuminated bag. It was late, and it's quite difficult to hide luminous crystals in the dark. Did Angelique see them?

  • Treacherous Gift

    Agvid Hanson

For my hospitality, the monk gave me some rock crystals. When I took them, I felt the spring warmth energy leaving my heart. It was flowing away into the monk's magic box! I instantly threw the rock crystals away - somewhere over there, I think. Let's look for them!

The monk who gave me these rock crystals turned out to be a troll. With them, he pulled the warm energy out of my heart and into his box. All in order to disrupt the arrival of spring.

  • Mysterious Traveler

    Agvid Hanson

I assure you, I haven't done anything wrong. I was tricked! The day before the arrival of spring, a wandering monk asked me to let him stay overnight. He collapsed wearily into an armchair, hiding his face in his hood, and threw his belt book in the corner. Look around, it must still be here!

You found that wanderer's old belt book! I immediately remembered it because of the leather "tail" with which it was tied to the monk's belt. Before meeting him, I'd never seen such books. Have you?

  • Incredible Power

    Doorkeeper

Have you heard that Martha's getting ready for a complex ritual? She's making some kind of potion right now. All in order to destroy the stone shell of the box, which attracted the Drydad Key. She asked me to get a dandelion root for the potion, help me find it.

It's great that you noticed the flower between those large stones. It's incredible - how did this little dandelion sprout destroy such a hard rock? I think Martha will apply its ability to destroy stone in her ritual.

  • Ancient Embroidery

    Martha

The stone enveloping the box is the same stone that covered the troll due to the sun. This material is woven from negative energy. During the ritual, I will destroy it with a shisha pendant. Can you find it for me?

You don't really think I sent you for a simple mirror with colored patterns, do you? Shisha is an ancient Indian embroidery technique. The bright threads around this mirror symbolize the rays that will destroy the negative energy around the petrified box.

  • Flowers for the Spirits

    Doorkeeper

As soon as Martha's magic destroys the box's stone shell, I'll open it with the Dryad Key, releasing the spring energy within. During the ritual, Martha will turn to the spirits. For this, she'll need an offering bowl. Let's find a suitable one!

I can see you know your offering bowls! Thank you for finding a suitable one so quickly. You've put flowers in it too! Is this in order to appease the spirits and help Martha to perform her ritual successfully?

  • Depths of the Subconscious

    Doorkeeper

The Dryad Key was drawn to the troll box and now it won't budge. The key clearly wants us to open it. But its lock is covered in stone. Martha asked me to find a magic candle for the stone shell destruction ritual. Could you help me find the right one?

You have the magic candle, thanks for the help! Martha says that this candle's smoke helps her plunge into the depths of the subconscious. There she'll find clues that will help us perform the ritual successfully and remove the troll box from its stone shackles.

  • Space for Concentration

    Martha

I will try to destroy the stone shackles that prevent the Dryad Key from opening this box's lock and releasing the spring energy. Help me prepare everything I need. First, find me a crystal mandala!

This crystal mandala will help me create the right magical space in which to concentrate my power and destroy the troll box's stone shell. This way, the key that was pulled to it will be able to open the lock freely.

  • Water Spirit

    Doorkeeper

I recall the spirits telling me that Agvid had a kelpie figurine. It's a water spirit that lives in rivers and lakes. Kelpies appear before travelers in the guise of a horse and lure them into the water. Let's find the figurine together!

You found the kelpie water spirit figurine. The Maiden of Spring told me that Agvid took the figurine with him as a talisman before he set sail. He believed that the kelpie helped him survive the shipwreck. It's surprising, considering that usually these spirits are hostile to people.

  • Accessory from Afar

    Doorkeeper

The Dryad Key needs a lot of spring energy to open the gate to the Forest of Spirits. I hope there's enough of it in the previous gatekeeper's Agvid had a brooch in the from of a Viking ship. I wish I could find it! Will you help?

Great, you have the Viking ship brooch! The Maiden of Spring said that Agvid greatly appreciated this thing. He found it among the shipwrecks that were washed ashore. It was then that he came up with the idea to build a ship out of the wreckage and sail for warmer lands.

  • Dreams of Warmth

    Doorkeeper

The nature spirits gave us a clue that Agvid's belongings store the spring energy we need to supplement the Drayd Key. The Maiden of Spring said that Agvid treasured a wooden flower, which he carved himself. If the flower is here somewhere, we'll definitely find it!

Thank you for finding this wooden flower. Do you feel the warmth coming from it? Surely it has the energy necessary for the Drayd Key. According to the Maiden of Spring, Agvid carved this flower as a child, dreaming of running away from the cold to someplace warm.

  • Natural Insulation

    Doorkeeper

I've been told that Agvid used to grow Iceland moss. Maybe you could help me find some? I'm not sure if, over the years of its caretaker's absence, the moss has survived, but in order to fill the Dryad Key with spring energy, we should look for this plant carefully.

Wow, you managed to notice the Iceland moss in the most remote and wet nook of the terrace! I didn't even notice it growing there between the tiles. It was probably Agvid who insulated the roof with it, as they did in the frosty lands where he was born.

    Dooekeeper

I hope the former gatekeeper's belongings still store the spring warmth energy that the Dryad Key desperately needs. The former gatekeeper's name was Agvid Hanson. I was told that he always carried a fire-starting kit with him. Let's try to find it!

You managed to find the fire-starting kit that belonged to Agvid. He used to live in the northernmost part of Norway, where it's cold even in spring. With this kit, he could start a fire and get warm. Once in the City, he carried the kit with him out of habit.

  • Helish Machine

    Fabien Delamode

The guest was so insitent in her effort to see Angelique that I was losing my temper. I politely explained Angelique isn't in the Atelier, but the lady didn't believe me and started some device to find her. This hellish machine - a mechanical scorpion - is still here, look around.

This mechanical scorpion is the Puppeteer's invention, which he used to turn off complex mechanisms. I got scared for Angelique and kicked the scorpion, which broke it. Ooh la la, I denifitely wasn't going to make deals with such a strange guest!

It's a delicate matter. The visitor knew all about angelique. She calimed that she'd recently seen the Puppeteer, and even got a special tools for fixing animated mannequins from him. She gave it to me. Take a look at this repair multi-tool.

I've actually seen such a repair multi-tool in the Puppeteer's workshop. I thought that perhaps this lady was indeed the Architect and met with other members of the Order of the Five? I have no evidence to the contrary.

I don't see evidence of Mr. Delamode's innocence yet. Did the guest send him regards from the lamplighter, by any chance? Because I noticed a serious device among all this hiny garbage in the Atelier - a crystal starter. Bring it.

I wasn't mistaken - this really is a crystal starter used by the lamplighers. Delamode insists that the visitor brought it as well. Such devices don't grow on trees though. Where did she get it from?

The visitor said that the scavengers want anti-fog suits. As a deposit, she didn't offer coin but a fabric cutter. I refused, but she left it at the atelier anyway. Find the cutter, but be careful - it's very sharp.

This is the cutter I was talking about. It's a scavengers' thing - the blade is made of a special alloy, so it doesn't lose its sharpness, even if you cut a lot of dense fabric with it. According to the lady, this was required for tailoring the anti-fog suits.

Ooh la la, Monsieur Black, I've got mixed up in this missing crystals matter, but I will certainly find you evidence of my innocence! The visitor didn't give me any coin but brought me gifts. For example, a Cabaret club bracelet. It's around here somewhere, find it.

This Cabaret club bracelet offers you some privileges, such as the right to have a talk with Mademoiselle Haze after her performance. But along with the bracelet, the lady sent me greetings from Monsieur Avocado, which sounded more like blackmail.

I was informed that Sophia found a song that caused a projection to appear, and it was of a musician who tried to stop a bullet with his saxophone. Although the murder attempt was committed a long time ago, I'm sure that the used bullet cases are still here somewhere! Follow me, I know where to look for them!

Great job! The used bullet cases you found have their bullet caliber indicated on them. Let's compare it with the hole in the saxophone. The diameter is the same. Hmm, did he get in somebody's way?

Yes, such a winged saxophone is one in a million. Although I'm not a musician, it seems to me that there's a bullet hole in it. Maybe this is why the instrument is out of tune.

Give that sinister thing here. My inner gaze is seeing dolls on fire! It looks like Sarah's doll was just the first - the Puppeteer made other toys and also put shards of the crystal inside them so that they could make children's wishes come true. But he knew how dangerous a wish and its consequences could be. In order to avoid any more tragedies, he tried to burn them all in his studio!

You found the remains of the complex device. Nearby was a note: "The doll granted Sarah's wish and came alive, but the crystal couldn't create a soul to implanat in the doll. Instead, it took Sarah's soul. It's terrible! My doll is the reason behind this tragedy! I need to fix this!"
