Hidden City Walkthrough

Quest

These are the story/quests featured in Hidden City. There is a vast number of stories, and please note that the order and categories are unorganized, so it might be a bit difficult to navigate. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Handsome Jack

    Isabelle

Search for the final missing card from the Deck of Images - the Jack of Hearts. Juliette says this might be difficult because it’s the Detective, so finding him won’t be easy.

That’s the Jack of Hearts that Juliette divined on. Somehow he doesn’t really resemble the Detective. Or is it my biased opinion? In any case, it’s good that all the cards have been found.

  • Courageous Club

    Isabelle

The Huntress was the Queen of Clubs when Juliette divined with the Deck of Images. Look for the Queen of Clubs in the most dangerous places in the City. The Huntress can always be found there.

Well done! Bring the Queen of Clubs here! Look, she’s the spitting image of the Huntress! Is she okay? That’s good, she’s tough as nails. It’s time to gather up the whole Deck of Images and safely hide it. Hold on, where’s the Jack of Hearts?

  • Restless Diamond

    Isabelle

We must find all the missing cards from the Deck of Images urgently. After all, they could change a person’s fate! Most of all, I’m worried about Valerie. I think she corresponds to the Queen of Diamonds. Look for this card where this restless person loves to be.

Great! You were able to find the Queen of Diamonds from the Deck of Images and, it’s true, she has Valerie’s face. We made it just in time before anything bad happened to her. What sinister magic these cards have!

  • Strong Spade

    Juliette

All right, I’ll give back the Deck of Images since they’re dangerous. I hope Martha makes the Mistress forget about her favourite cards. But other queens from the deck are also lost. I divined on Valerie, the Huntress and Isabelle. Well, it’s interesting which of them are near the heart. It seems that now they’re all under threat. Find Isabelle’s card. I saw her on the Queen of Spades.

Monsieur, I’m so glad you found the Queen of Spades! And it’s true: the queen on the card is Isabelle’s double! I hope my divination didn’t bring harm to her.

    Manor House Gate

  • Cunning Joker

    Juliette

The first card that disappeared from the Mistress’ deck was the Joker. It told me it wasn’t needed so I put it aside; but then it was gone. Find this Joker, mon ami!

Where did you find this Joker?! I looked all around. Oh, look at his face! It’s the spitting image of Cardsharp. Strange... Earlier this card looked different. Let’s go see Martha.

  • Conversation with the Pipistrelle

    Detective

The conversation with the Pipistrelle needs to be written down so we don’t miss anything. Did you bring the tape recorder? It’s a cassette tape matching the rest of the equipment. Martha mentioned that City artifacts are needed to question bats. Bring them and let’s get started.

Oh my! Our Pipistrelle squeaked for an entire hour of questioning. Martha was able to decipher these squeaks. It turns out that all the anomalies - the bats, boggarts, and even the electrum anomaly - are following someone else’s orders! Someone is actually controlling them! Unfortunately, a bat’s mind is too weak to explain the who and the why.

  • Listen to the Recording

    Detective

We’ve already gathered nearly all the devices required to question the Pipistrelle. You know what we forgot? A speaker or headphones! How will we hear the bat’s revelations? Bring the Audio Speakers, and then everything will be okay.

Here’s the speaker. Now we connect everything... It’s time to talk to the bat. Throughout my life I’ve spoken to thieves, murderers and officials; once I even spoke to a dog... But to talk to a bat... Even in this City you’ll never get used to that!

    Angel Statue

  • Boost the Sound

    Detective

To deal with the new aggressive anomalies, we need to question the captured Pipistrelle. We already have a special microphone, but it won’t work without an Amplifier. Look for one please.

You found the Amplifier? This will work quite well. We won’t be listening to music however, but the bat.

    Angel Statue

  • Pick up the Voice

    Detective

Martha always finds a quick solution, especially if the City needs help. To question the captured Pipistrelle, she suggested using the Studio Microphone when treated with a special potion. Martha will give us the potion while you search for the Studio Microphone.

You did it! The microphone has been found and the potion’s ready. But where do we connect it? Without a connection, we can’t question the captured Pipistrelle.

    Angel Statue

  • Capturing Bats

    Detective

The situation in the City is becoming tense and the anomalies are going after people. Intuition tells me that this is no accident, but someone’s evil design. New bats, also known as Pipistrelles, have appeared everywhere. We must capture one of these bats and examine it more closely.

Wow! You managed to capture a Pipistrelle. Let me see. It just looks like an ordinary little animal. How can we learn anything from it? What if it was possible to question him? How about we ask for help, from magicians?

  • Source of Knowledge

    Detective

To determine who is leaving strange prints in places with increased anomaly activity, we need to delve into the Reference Books. The discovered prints must be compared to the examples in the books. Bring a couple of Reference Books and encyclopedias.

You’ve done well bringing so many Reference Books! Let’s look through them. Oh, here it is! The print found in the epicentre of the anomaly was left behind by a bat, which is also unusual. It’s called a Pipistrelle. Apparently that’s why the anomaly has become so aggressive.

    Angel Statue

  • Leaving the Impasse

    Conductor

Here it comes. Do you hear the rattling of wheels? It’s the ghost train. With a bit of patience and work we built a way out of the impasse by connecting the track to the main line. All we need now is a few artifacts to finish the missing section.

Finally, the line is open! Did you notice the green light? Be careful, don’t stand on the rails! The ghost train is already racing along! Interesting... what is its desired station? And who’s going to meet it? Maybe it will find its way into the real world? But what’s it going to do in the real world?

  • Switch Over the Track

    Conductor

We need to find the lever for the Railway Point and connect it to the Line Section we’ve laid down. The ghost train finally got the opportunity to leave its impasse on the main line. Hurry, bring the lever.

The Railway Point is almost ready! If you’re not afraid, then come with me to the abandoned railway yard and take part in sending off the ghost train!

    Station

  • Nail the Fasteners

    Conductor

To lay down the lines, I need my work tool - a track walker’s Hammer. I won’t even attempt to guess where it is. You need to find the Hammer otherwise the ghost train won’t let me sleep!

You brought my track walker’s Hammer! See, my entire tool is signed. We now have nearly everything we need to lay down the railway tracks.

    Manor House Gate

  • Securing the Rails

    Conductor

Ugh, the hardest part of the job is now done. To lay down the railway track for the ghost train, only one small detail remains - fasteners. Find some railroad Spikes.

It was definitely the right decision to bring lots of spikes. I hope they’ll be enough for us to lay down the railway lines for the ghost train.

    Station

  • Wooden Junctions

    Conductor

At night, the ghost train’s wheels rattle and won’t let me sleep. The track needs to be laid down and the impasse joined to the main line so that the train can leave. Besides the rails, we need some Railway Ties. Please help find them... and hurry.

Thankfully the ties aren’t as heavy as the rails, but we need significantly more, so there’s a bit of work to be done. I didn’t think laying down track for the ghost train would be so difficult.

    Collector's House

  • Railway Strain

    Conductor

We need to lay down a section of the railway so that the ghost train can leave on the main line. If you could bring the Rails, I’d be very grateful.

What a heavy rail. Maybe we’ll have some luck with the next rails? I hope we don’t strain ourselves laying down the railway line for the ghost train.

    Station

  • Records on Parchment

    Huntress

So, we’re all ready for the ritual to determine the parents’ of the werewolf pup. Place the skull onto the skeleton and secure the Prosthetic. Now arrange the magical artifacts in a circle. It’s time to find out Rudy’s parentage!

Thanks to the ritual, we learned that my pup Rudy’s father was the legendary Werewolf Leader! This hardened beast was even feared by his own pack. The people of the City of Shadows would panic at the mere sound of his long, drawn out howls. Well, now it’s clear where Rudy gets his moods from - he has royal blood!

  • Scattering of Minerals

    Huntress

I need Sulfur for the ritual to determine the werewolf pup’s bloodline, but I don’t have any. In the City of Shadows, Sulfur is found everywhere. Bring me some.

I knew it wouldn’t be a problem getting the Sulfur. During the ritual, the Prosthetic, controlled by the Werewolf Skull, scribbled information about Rudy’s parents onto parchment.

    Jack's Masquerade Ball

  • I’ll see you the whole way through!

    Detective

The Huntress needs all-seeing sight? What could that be? The All-Seeing Eye? X-rays? Stop! That’s it! X-rays are all-seeing. It’s not an easy task, but I believe in you. Bring the X-Ray Machine.

Who would’ve thought that all-seeing sight isn’t a magical object, but a simple X-Ray Machine. It’s good that you managed to find it quickly. You’ll have to help attach it to the Werewolf Skull.

  • Truth Detector

    Huntress

To perform the ritual and learn about the werewolf pup’s bloodline, we need a Prosthetic. The Werewolf Skull can’t speak, but with magic it’s possible to control the Prosthetic and write the answers to our questions. Bring some to me.

Of course such a Prosthetic will do. This skeleton’s not really wearing it, just temporarily borrowing it. Soon the Werewolf Skull will tell us who my Rudolph’s parents were!

    Jack's Masquerade Ball

  • What’s as Good as an Upright Support?

    Huntress

To ask the Werewolf Skull questions, we’ll need an Anatomical Skeleton. Don’t be surprised; we need to put the skull on something. Search for a skeleton.

You’ve already got your hands on the Anatomical Skeleton? Great! A little more and we’ll be able to discover who Rudy’s parents were.

    Jack's Masquerade Ball

  • Control Unit

    Huntress

Finding out who my werewolf pup’s parents were won’t be easy. It’s good that I know a ritual that will help in this matter. We need a Werewolf Skull. Bring it, please.

You’ve found an excellent Werewolf Skull! You see, these creatures have a very strong ancestral memory. Even after death, we are able to learn all the information we require about the pack from the skull. Even about the parents of my pup, Rudy.

    Jack's Masquerade Ball

  • Visit to the Prisoner

    Detective

We’ve assembled a stack of documents, and in a week we can get a pass to visit Cesare Borgia. What do you think? Things don’t move so quickly in jail. Then again, if you offer someone in the administrative office a couple of artifacts, everything will be done as a priority. You’ll arrange it, yes?

We finally have the Pass to get into jail. It’s time to talk to Cesare Borgia. Finally, we will be able to find out why he stole the Conductor’s distiller and where he hid it!

  • Financial Issues

    Detective

Let’s go further down the list. To visit a prisoner we need a Cash Deposit against the Signed Non-Disclosure. Wow!!! It’s not a small sum either. You’ll have to resolve this issue somehow, or else questioning of Cesare Borgia will be delayed. Get the Cash Deposit as soon as possible.

You’ve brought the document confirming the Cash Deposit. It was the final thing required to meet with the prisoner Cesare Borgia.

  • Secret Information

    Detective

Let’s read further. "Access to the prisoner Cesare Borgia is possible only upon provision of a Signed Non-Disclosure agreement." Well, that’s clear. Damn secrecy. You’ll have to sign a non-disclosure, pal.

The Signed Non-Disclosure is prepared? Great, that means we can soon question Cesare Borgia.

    Secret Room

  • Medical Screening

    Detective

What else is on the list that we need in order to see Cesare Borgia? To meet with prisoners we need a Health Certificate? Okay...

With some difficulty you managed to get the Health Certificate? That’s interesting to me. Where is Borgia being kept if a Health Certificate is required to visit him?

    Secret Room

  • Official Document

    Detective

So, in order to meet the prisoner Cesare Borgia, we need to gather an entire list of documents. Let’s see, the first one is Identification. And do you have any with you? No? Lets bring some Identification.

It’s good that searching for Identification didn’t take long. Now the first item in the list can be scratched off. We’re one step closer to meeting with Cesare Borgia!

  • Mayor’s Instructions

    Detective

Questioning a prisoner, much less Cesare Borgia, is not easy to arrange. The Mayor must know how to help us. Most likely, we will be expected to gather a lot of papers. Pay the Mayor a visit and ask him for a list of the required documents.

Wow, the Mayor went out of his way! We need to gather lots of documents for a meeting with Borgia! I hope it’s worth it and Cesare doesn’t clam up and refuse to tell us where and why he stole the Conductor’s distiller!

    Secret Room

  • Package of Findings

    Conductor

Let’s summarise things. My distiller was stolen. We figured out that the thief isn’t poor. Why would he need my old machine? For some sort of dark purposes, of course. Securely pack up all the evidence we’ve found, and add urban artifacts for magical protection, seeing as we’ve encountered such a challenging thief.

You’ve put the findings in a purse. Ancient by the looks of it. It’s called a belted Aumônière. And where did you get it? Lying in the store room where the stolen machine was kept? How interesting... Look, the owner’s name is embroidered here! "Cesare Borgia." So that’s who stole my distiller!

  • Rare Accessories

    Conductor

What kind of strange individual stole my distiller?! We found a dagger and a Clawed Foot, but that says very little. Inspect the crime scene carefully, surely something more will turn up.

You’ve found some beautiful and expensive Buttons at the crime scene! Do you see the stone? It’s an emerald, and the broken chain appears to be made of gold. The criminal definitely isn’t poor. Obviously, the thief tore off the Buttons when he took the distiller from the store room!

    Troll Market

  • Trophy from the Fog

    Conductor

It’s outrageous! My distiller was stolen right from under my nose! Incidentally, you also needed it. Since our goals coincide for now, let’s carefully search all around.

Ugh, what a vile thing. It’s the paw of some creature, maybe a bat. Perhaps bats took my distiller? They made an arrangement with the boggarts and made off with it somewhere... But whose dagger is it?

    Troll Market

  • Forgotten Weapon

    Conductor

Here we are. I keep my distiller in this store room. Take it... But what the...? Damn it! The machine is gone! Is it possible that boggarts stole it? Look around; the thieves may have left some clues.

Unbelievable! What a knife you found at the scene of the crime! It’s expensive and very old. Clearly the boggarts didn’t drop it. Who is he, this criminal who stole my distiller?

    Troll Market

  • Decent Glasses

    Conductor

What is it? Hmm, an excellent French Cognac! It’s for me? You want to borrow my distiller? Yes, please. But first, a tasting. I’ll make sausage flambé for you! The Cognac just needs to be poured into glasses so it can "breathe". The sausages will be more delicious. Bring a couple of glasses.

Great! These Decanters are the most appropriate glasses for a refined drink... The Cognac "breathes" a bit and... The subtleties of flambéing are of little interest to you. Do you urgently need the distiller? All right, let’s go.

  • Five-star Gift

    Detective

The Conductor is more likely to lend me his distiller if I bring him something. What shall I give him? The Conductor has recently become a cooking enthusiast. His last achievement was sausage flambé. They are prepared in liquor that is set on fire. That’s what we need. Find a bottle of Cognac.

Oh, a five-star French Cognac! I haven’t seen this in quite a long time. I hope the Conductor will appreciate our gift and lend us his distiller.

    Troll Market

  • Samhain Crow

    Isabelle

While everyone was preparing for the masquerade, I noticed the crow that delivered the letters for Dracula. A vampire’s influence does not go unnoticed: the poor bird was hiding in a corner and was afraid of its own shadow. We must perform a liberation ritual. To do this, we surround the bird with festive Halloween things and strengthen their effect with City artifacts.

Just look! The bird has transformed right before our eyes. Now the crow is full of vigour and even dressed up in a Halloween costume. It’s a good thing that we were able to neutralise the after-effects of Dracula’s influence. Who knows how it might have ended up.

  • Protection From the Sun

    Detective

Man, I need your help. Juliette is a bit uneasy after close contact with vampire essence. Direct sunlight irritates her. If you bring a parasol, the problem will be solved.

Excellent umbrella! It not only protects Juliette from the sun, but also complements her outfit. She will be the most sophisticated one at the Halloween masquerade. And for this, you deserve credit. Thank you.

    Castle Gate

  • Trick or Treat

    Cardsharp

My dear friend! More than once your artistic taste has helped me out. I want to take part in Halloween. I already have my costume, but I still need to pick out accessories. As a courtesy, find me a Bag for Candy.

Well, well, what a spacious Bag for Candy. Why do you ask? Could it really be that the poor Cardsharp can’t go and collect some treats? Why does such a profitable affair only involve children?

    Castle Gate

  • Mystical Decorations

    Martha

Due to all this commotion, the preparations for the Halloween masquerade have infected me. I also want to decorate my own home somehow. I think Lamps with Ghosts would be great. Bring a few.

Such unique Lamps with Ghosts! These are amusing and quite scary. I’m sure they will create the perfect Halloween mood. Thank you.

    Castle Gate

  • Distinctive Décor

    Conductor

Do you know that a grand Halloween Carnival is coming up? I’m not going to dress up as a zombie though. Also, decorating the Station couldn’t hurt. Bring some kind of décor; a Cauldron with Legs, for example.

This Cauldron with Legs perfectly suits the interior of the Station! Thank you for your help in preparing the Halloween masquerade.

    Castle Gate

  • Stylish Witch

    Valerie

I’m so glad that all the unpleasantness has finally ended. Time for celebration, merriment and treats! In anticipation of the Halloween masquerade, I’ve already got myself a costume. I’m going to be a witch. All that remains is to choose my shoes. Help bring my Witch’s Shoes.

You found absolutely stunning shoes! I think they suit me. I’m going to try them on. I’ll be the most attractive witch at the Halloween masquerade!

    Castle Gate

  • Final Stage

    Juliette

All that’s left is to pour the perfume in the container and wait until it hardens. I can’t wait to see the results! Please bring a few City artifacts. I’m certain it will speed up the cooling process.

Oh, look, what wonderful Solid Perfume we’ve made! And what an aroma! It’s a good thing the Mistress isn’t here, or else she’d snatch it up in no time. I’ll hide it in my cosmetics bag. I hope that’s a safe place. I’ve prepared you a perfect reward, here...

  • Elegant Creation

    Juliette

We managed to create a Solid Perfume with a delicate and refreshing scent. All that remains is to find a container. I’m not going to carry around the perfume in a bowl! Try to find something appropriate.

The box you found for the Solid Perfume is a work of art. I’m glad I asked you for help.

    City Hall

  • Heart of the Aroma

    Juliette

Can you smell the aroma coming from my improvised laboratory? Do you like it? Me too. To finish the perfume, search for one more ingredient - Rose Oil. I’ll need just a few drops.

The recipe for Solid Perfume states that three to five drops of essential Rose Oil needs to be added. I’ll add one drop at a time and stir, and you’ll act as the expert. I’m completely relying on your sense of smell.

    The Hotel

  • Fresh Hints

    Juliette

The third ingredient is Jasmine Oil. Bring it, please. It only needs a bit.

I add the Jasmine Oil to the heated mixture of Beeswax and Coconut Oil. It will give the perfume a spring fresh aroma.

    The Hotel

  • Tropical Oil

    Juliette

The second ingredient for the Solid Perfume is Coconut Oil. Mon ami, I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding it.

I add Coconut Oil to the Beeswax and slowly heat the mixture. I didn’t think Solid Perfume was so difficult to make.

    The Hotel

  • Perfume Base

    Juliette

The first thing we need to make a Solid Perfume is Beeswax. There’s definitely some at the apiary, but I’m afraid to go there. Help me, please. I don’t know where you’ll find it, but please bring the wax.

Thank you for the Beeswax. It will be the base for the perfume. Mind you, I am making perfume for the first time in my life. I’ll do everything according to the recipe so as not to make mistakes.

    The Hotel

  • Wanderlust

    Valerie

Let’s finally gather up the right carry-on baggage. You name it, they’ve got it! Chic round bags, stylish travel bags, elegant little suitcases for every taste. What to choose? Oh, I know! City artifacts will help us decide.

What baggage! A trunk, suitcase, and a hat box, and a unique box made from genuine alligator skin! You have excellent taste.

  • Dispelling the magic

    Isabelle

We’ve put the entire railroad together and the driver’s son is ready to start the toy Atlantic Express on its first trip. Please bring some City artifacts to enhance the magical presence. Hopefully, we’ll manage to dispel the magic that turned the train passengers and the Detective into bronze toys.

Congratulations, we did it! The toy Atlantic Express has successfully traveled the entire route and arrived at the Station! The train passengers and the Detective are free from their bronze captivity! Their silhouettes are dissipating in the haze of the Station... The boy’s wish came true and the witchcraft has vanished!

  • Tunnel in Pennsylvania

    Conductor

I see the girls have already put the railroad together and even placed trees on either side. Well, there are still some final important elements to find. We need the Atlantic Express train and the tunnel. Not an easy task, but you can manage it.

You did that so quickly! The Atlantic Express and the tunnel you found are the last missing pieces of the toy trainset.

  • The Surrounding Landscape

    Valerie

Your railroad looks so boring. I know what’s missing! Let’s decorate it with toy trees and rocks so the train route looks more realistic. Bring the toy parts for the landscape.

As soon as we placed the toy landscape details, the railway started looking real! I can just imagine being a first-class passenger looking out the window at this landscape.

    Station

  • Railway Crossing

    Huntress

No railway route is complete without level crossings with bars. Come on, let’s look for these parts of the toy railroad on the platform.

What a fun toy crossing! The barrier is lowered, and a miniature car and a rider on a horseback are waiting next to it.

    Station

  • The Track Across the River

    Isabelle

As I recall, the Atlantic Express route crosses several rivers, so we need to find a toy bridge to pass over water. I think such a bridge was among the passengers’ baggage. Bring it, please.

Wow, this toy railroad bridge is so realistic! Every detail is captured, even the smallest one! Yes, the Puppeteer really is a genius.

    Collector's House

  • Rails and Ties

    Conductor

To release all the passengers and the old Detective, we need to find all the parts of the railway made by the Puppeteer. I think I saw a toy railway track on the platform. Please bring it.

The toy railway track you found fairly accurately reproduces the actual route of the Atlantic Express train. Look, there are even arrows here to transfer to another track!

    Station

  • Fog in the Tunnel

    Martha

Now I can look into the past. I can see the train rushing into a tunnel at full speed. But what’s that?! I can see a boy in the tunnel in front of the steam engine! That’s the driver’s son! The father tries to brake hard, but the train is racing too fast!\n It’s dark... Alas, I can’t go on without City artifacts.

Now I see - the train was about to hit the little boy! Suddenly, fog filled the entire tunnel and some force transported the train with all its passengers to the City of Shadows.\n How did the boy appear in the tunnel? And why did the City save the boy? Why does it need the driver’s son?

  • Means of Communication

    Cardsharp

It’s important to learn everything about the Atlantic Express trip, but the boy is stubbornly silent. Perhaps he’s mute? Find the slate board so the driver’s son can write to us. Hopefully, that way he will explain something.

Bring the slate board here! Now it will be easier to communicate. He wrote: "Play with me." He keeps writing the same thing over and over! Do you think playing games will help the passengers or your father, honey? It looks like we relied on the kid for nothing.

    Station

  • Departure Signal

    Isabelle

Among the things that appeared with the Atlantic Express is a station bell. The boy pointed to it and made some gestures. It looks like he wants to say something about the train’s departure. Bring the bell and I’ll see what I can learn.

As I understand it, the driver gave his son a toy trainset before the trip. "Play with me," asked the boy, but his father was in a hurry. The bell you found rang, the train departed, and the driver’s son was left waiting on the platform.

    Collector's House

  • Forbidden Trip

    Martha

Observing the driver’s son, I came to a conclusion - the boy is just crazy about trains. He was particularly enthralled by the Atlantic Express. I’m sure he really wanted to ride on the train operated by his father. Let’s find out if his dream came true.

Just what I thought. This is a closed stopper lock. Very symbolic. Of course, the driver was unable to take his son on the Atlantic Express big trip. It was forbidden by company policy.

    Station

  • Become a Driver

    Isabelle

I’m sure the boy knows something important about the Atlantic Express train. When I showed him the picture of his father, he pointed to the driver’s cap, clasped his hands imploringly, and smiled. I think the boy is asking us to find that cap. Please help me find it.

As soon as you brought the driver’s cap, the boy immediately put it on. He was very happy about it, but he still won’t say a word. It really seems like he wants to become a driver.

    Station

  • A Special Trip

    Valerie

It’s a pity that the driver’s son won’t speak. I’m sure he knows a lot about the Atlantic Express and how the train disappeared. Maybe some kind of reminder of his father would help get him talking? I saw a company cockade from the driver’s cap nearby. Please get it.

Thank you. These cockades are only for special occasions. See how it shines? The driver probably polished it before a special trip. Hey there, little one, do you want the cockade?

    Station

  • The Mystery of the Past

    Conductor

We found five things that belong to the driver of the Atlantic Express. That should be enough to start my Machine and discover the mysterious train’s past. Bring some of the City’s artifacts; we’ll need them as fuel.

Look, the Machine has transformed the driver’s belongings into a parcel. And here is the card.

  • Quench Thirst

    Isabelle

Obviously, the driver gets pretty hot driving the steam engine, so it’s useful to have a flask of water on hand. I saw something similar near the train. Find it, please.

The driver’s hard work doesn’t allow him to leave the steam engine cabin. A flask of water helps him quickly quench his thirst on the job.

    Station

  • Inspection

    Conductor

No driver can do without an oiler. After all, the steam engine mechanisms need constant lubrication. Bring me the driver’s oiler. I saw it near the engine.

Just what I thought - the driver’s oiler was near the steam engine. See how big it is? That’s because the steam engines need a lot of lubrication.

    Collector's House

  • Fire in Your Pocket

    Huntress

We’re looking for the driver’s belongings. He must have had a lighter. It’s a useful thing for lighting a lantern or furnace. Find the driver’s lighter. It must be somewhere among the items on the platform.

Excellent, you found it! The driver’s lighter has the Atlantic Express logo on it. It must be a very rich company to give such accessories to its employees.

    Station

  • Marks of Excellence

    Valerie

I looked in the City Hall archives to learn more about the train driver. It turns out that his uniform standards required special lapel badges. I think I saw some on the platform. Get them, please.

Let’s see what you brought. Wow! These lapel badges are made of silver! Yes, the Atlantic Express truly is a luxurious train. Even the driver’s marks of excellence are made of precious metal!

    Collector's House

  • Exact Time

    Conductor

To save the Detective, you need to find out why the passengers turned into toys. We could use my Machine to learn more about these events. This requires the belongings of someone who knows all the details, such as the driver. Find his clock.

You managed to find the driver’s hanging clock. Look, it even has the railway company logo on it! Apparently, these clocks were given to drivers so they could check their travel time.

  • Bronze Figurines Mystery

    Conductor

The strange boy’s pockets are stuffed with bronze toys, but he won’t speak. We need to know who this child is, where the figurines came from, and where the old Detective is. Perhaps City artifacts will shed some light on the origin of the bronze figurines? Bring a couple of artifacts and I’ll try to get the boy talking.

Look, after the ritual, a toy train appeared in the boy’s hands! Wow, all the bronze figurines we found are inside the railcar, even the Detective! What’s going on here? I suspect magic played a role. We need an expert in witchcraft, so let’s visit Martha.

  • Detective’s Transformation

    Conductor

The Detective went inside the train after the boy and vanished! I wonder if something happened? We should look for him. Oh look, I think another bronze toy is shining there.

We were looking for the Detective, but finally found the boy! Do you have something for me, kid? Holy moly, this is the Detective! Actually, it’s a perfect bronze replica of him! Unbelievable!

    Station

  • Service Staff

    Detective

What is this boy doing? Why is he running away? Is he playing hide and seek with us? If so, he’s winning! Look, there he is, near the steam engine! Run, quick, we’ll catch him now... Or find another bronze figurine.

Show me what you found, buddy. A bronze cook figurine! Hmm, these figurines look more like small copies of people than toys. Where did the kid get these figurines? Look, the boy has disappeared into the train! I’m following him, and this time he’s not getting away!

  • An Italian Woman in Bronze

    Valerie

Very interesting - we ran around the Station looking for the boy and only found bronze toys that he left behind as clues. I saw another figurine on the rails. Go get it, if you don’t mind.

Huh, the boy left this bronze signora on the rails. Oh, what a beautiful dress! Strange toy for a kid though, don’t you think?

  • Railroad Worker

    Alex

I saw the mysterious boy from the train. He was sitting on the platform and playing with something. He ran as soon as he noticed me, but he left his toy on the platform. Bring it to me, please.

Look at this realistic bronze figurine! It’s a driver! It looks handmade to order. This boy must come from a wealthy family to have a toy like this.

  • Bronze Soldier

    Detective

Juliette was scared by a strange boy on the train. How did we miss him? He may know what happened to the passengers!\n Look, there’s a shining figurine lying near the railcar. I’m sure it belongs to the boy. Bring it here, while I calm Juliette down.

Great, we found a bronze general. As a boy, I had similar toy soldiers: infantry, artillery, and even a couple mounted officers.

  • A Sensation in the Press

    Detective

To find out what kind of train is at the Station, we need more facts - for example, newspaper clippings. Journalists would’ve certainly paid attention to this luxurious train! A couple of City artifacts will help us quickly find the right article.

What a twist! We didn’t just find a newspaper article, but a whole special issue about the Atlantic Express train. Also, notice how the newspaper talks about events that took place on today’s date, but many years ago! Let’s see what it says.

  • Legendary Train

    Cardsharp

Well, are you trying to learn something about the train or make the citizens in the City rich? I won’t give up the gold purse, but maybe I should look for something more informative? For example, the train’s logo.

According to the logo you found, the train is called "Atlantic Express." Once upon a time, this name was known on both sides of the Atlantic. It was a well-known transportation company from Italy based in the New World. What do you think, is this logo valuable?

  • Handbag

    Juliette

Mon ami, I also want to explore the Station. I saw something shiny and probably very valuable on the platform. Come, I’ll show you the place, and you can help me get the brilliant little thing from under the boxes.

Saint Julie, the handbag you found is worth a fortune! Just look: it’s all gilded and decorated with precious stones. Its chain even seems to be made of platinum!

    Station

  • Fine Delicacies

    Valerie

Hooray, our Station has become much more attractive! There are so many interesting little things here! There’s a menu for the restaurant car under this huge bag. Help me get the menu, and we’ll find out what the missing passengers were fed.

Wow, what a menu! I thought they would have sandwiches, tea, coffee, and so on, but there’s lobster, caviar, truffles, and even nightingale tongues! I’ve never heard some of these names! The food on the train was regal.

    Station

  • Crocodile Skin

    Detective

There’s a whole pile of baggage on the Station platform. We need to examine it to learn about the passengers of the mysterious train. I noticed that some of the boxes and bags are slightly ajar. We can search them first. Can you get me that luxury box?

Buddy, you found a fancy box with the most expensive men’s crocodile skin shoes inside! Only the rich can afford these shoes!

    Station

  • Warm Light

    Conductor

A mysterious train appeared at the Station, which is enveloped in a dense fog. We haven’t seen any passengers yet, but the baggage seems to be intact. We need to find out what kind of train it is and where all the passengers are. Let’s look for clues on the platform.

Oh, dear! We found a beautiful lamp, but no people. The lampshade is even made of silk. These lamps adorn railcars in luxury trains. The lamp is still lit, but what happened to the person who lit it?

  • Vampire’s Secrets

    Cardsharp

My dear friend! It seems that we have the chance to find one of Dracula’s caches. I noticed a sparkle of pure gold in the roots of one of the trees. I wouldn’t confuse it with anything else. Use your talent and find the vampire’s treasure.

Wow! A jug full of gold! Just look at the reddish shimmer of these coins. We won’t look into how Dracula got them.

  • Halloween Keeper

    Martha

Count Dracula, wishing to seize control over Halloween, is defeated and securely locked away in the spirit world. The people of the City of Shadows are no longer threatened by a bloody vampire ball. Jack, the Halloween Spirit, finally arrived in the City of Shadows to the Samhain Clock’s call. The balance between the worlds is restored. A festive Halloween masquerade begins!

  • Halloween Bells

    Martha

The Samhain Clock was destroyed using magic, so simply gathering all the parts together isn’t enough. Bring a few City artifacts and I’ll be able to restore it. Then set the clock’s hands to 12:00 - the start of Halloween. Only in this manner will the Clock send a signal, and we will summon Jack to our world.

As soon as we set the magical clock’s time to Halloween, the mechanism came to life. You hear that? Such melodic ringing of bells! It amplifies everything... The chiming of the Samhain Clock is heard not only in the City of Shadows, but also in the underworld. It’s echoed by the sound of the hooves of Jack’s ghostly horse. Halloween is here!

  • Day Trip

    Detective

To restore the Samhain Clock, we need to get the final part - the piece that shows today’s time. Find it, and we can finally summon the Halloween Spirit. Hurry, we have just enough time!

Yes, this is what we need! It looks like an ordinary Clock Dial. The hour and minute hands indicate the time of day. On the right day, when the position of the hands coincides with the time of the call to the Halloween Spirit, the Clock sends a signal to Jack.

  • Monday Begins Today

    Juliette

We must find the silver Earth Hand. I will gladly help you. After Dracula’s bite, I prefer to keep in contact with objects that guard against vampires. Silver, aspen, salt... Find the Earth Hand to restore the Samhain Clock.

The silver Earth Hand must be set on the Week Star according to the day that corresponds to Halloween. This year it’s Monday.

  • Seven Shining Rays

    Isabelle

The seven-pointed Week Star is another piece of the Samhain Clock, which summons the Halloween Spirit. It’s also called the Magicians’ Star or Alchemists’ Star. Find the Week Star and I’ll show you how it works.

See, each of the star’s rays corresponds to a day of the week and the planet that it protects. This piece, like the minute hand on normal clocks, tells the time indicated on the Year Wheel.

  • Samhain’s Time

    Cardsharp

Sir, to restore the Samhain Clock we need to find the Sun Hand. I’m certain it will be made of gold. Only this precious metal fully reflects the grandeur of the celestial body. Find it.

A-ha! The Sun Hand you found is truly golden. Were there extra little rays nearby? No? Too bad... Oh well, just set the Sun Hand to the time corresponding to Halloween on the Year Wheel.

  • Important Mechanism

    Martha

We need to do whatever it takes to restore the Samhain Clock! Its chime will summon the Halloween Spirit from the underworld. We know that Dracula took it apart and hid the parts near the fountain. I’m confident that your abilities will allow you to collect them. Find the framework of the clock. Judging by the impressions on the body, it’s a Year Wheel.

The Year Wheel indicates the state of the sun during the year. It’s marked with dots for solstices and equinoxes. Perhaps I’ll tell you about the mystical properties of these days sometime.

  • Drive Away the Darkness

    Martha

Use the Vajra’s piercing stone after weakening Dracula with strikes with the Chakram. Then it’s time for the Solar Bomb. The only chance for a vampire to escape it is to turn into fog.\n We’ll set a trap for Dracula. We need to collect the fog in a special horn and seal it tight. The City’s magic will help strengthen the seal.

You were victorious! Dracula is trapped and sealed in the Magic Horn. Let’s send the bloody count back to the world of the dead where he belongs! Throw it in the Fountain of Souls. Praise the Gods! As soon as the black water swallowed the horn, the Detective was freed and in his own body again.

  • Omnipresent Glow

    Huntress

It’s extremely difficult to defeat a vampire, particularly Dracula. These beings possess supernatural powers. But I know the weapon that a vampire cannot escape. A Solar Bomb! Find it and you will behold all of its power.

The daylight emitted by this Solar Bomb is absolutely safe for humans, but fatal to vampires. Dracula will not escape it!

  • Tricky Knots

    Cardsharp

Dracula is very dangerous. He has the speed of lightning, the force of a hurricane, and the hardness of a rock. Ordinary shields or armour will not protect you. You need to get the Enchanted Shield with the magical script.

The shield you found doesn’t just provide reliable protection. Vampires are very fastidious. Complex, constantly changing magical patterns will distract Dracula and force him to look at all the loops and interweaving shapes.

    Castle Gate

  • Lightning Strike

    Isabelle

Dracula is an experienced and strong fighter. Ordinary swords or spears won’t affect him. I know of a more powerful weapon. Bring the Double Vajra, and I’ll teach you how to use it.

Great, you were able to find the Double Vajra! This is the Warriors of Light’s weapon in the fight against demons. It has the combined properties of a sword, club and spears. The Vajra gives you strength and toughness of spirit. You will be opposed by the vampire’s might! Go for it!

  • Roll with the Punches!

    Cardsharp

During the duel, you can’t forget about defence. Especially in a duel with a dangerous opponent like Dracula. Bring the Crusader’s Gloves. The crosses depicted on them will protect you against the vampire’s strikes.

Gloves with crosses on are a reliable and proven instrument in the fight against vampires. I’m glad that you were able to find them. You’ll now be able to take on Dracula’s strike!

  • Soaring Blade

    Huntress

A duel with Dracula is a serious test. The loser loses everything. Alas, we can’t use silver bullets or a wooden stake - by killing Dracula, we kill the Detective. Let’s try Chakram in combat, it’s a very effective weapon.

Look, the Chakram is made in the form of a yin-yang. It will improve your chances in the fight. We know that it keeps the balance of good and evil forces. Plus, the Chakram has a very sharp blade.

  • Beauty Will Save Juliette

    Isabelle

The smell of garlic repels vampires, but this clearly doesn’t offend Juliette. We need something sophisticated... I’ll make a beautiful bouquet and hide garlic in it. And you can bring some City artifacts. They’ll help us convince Juliette to try on all the collected adornments to finally free her from Dracula.

Juliette wore the amber earrings, the silver ring, crucifix belt and the Aspen Comb. She sprayed the verbena perfume and breathed in the aroma of the garlic bouquet. Praise all that’s holy! Look, Juliette is transforming in front of our eyes. The vampire essence has finally left her. We now have the Halloween Steward’s Pendant! This is the first, albeit a small, victory that disrupts Dracula’s plans to take Jack’s place.

  • Silver Strike

    Huntress

Vampires can’t stand silver at all. This metal will help us destroy the vampire spirit within Juliette. Bring the silver Claw Ring and get a move on, you need to hurry.

Great! Juliette’s vampire essence will surely love the aggressive shape of this Claw Ring. Let’s hope she doesn’t immediately notice the silver metal.

    Castle Gate

  • Protective Aroma

    Valerie

I remembered that vampires can’t stand verbena, but Juliette loves perfume. Bring Perfume with Verbena. Even if she smells it just once, her transformation into a vampire will be stopped.

Perfume with Verbena has such a delicate and fresh aroma... Mmm... And it’s good that it’s red. It will attract Juliette’s vampire essence, and she won’t immediately notice the scent of verbena.

    Castle Gate

  • Rescue and Keep

    Conductor

The Bride of Dracula’s spirit is changing Juliette. We need to stop the transformation as soon as possible so the poor girl doesn’t turn into a vampire for good! Look for something adorned with crosses. Vampires fear them like fire.

What a beautiful belt! I think Juliette will like it. And the crucifix camouflaged in its pattern will help save her from Dracula’s influence.

    Castle Gate

  • Wooden Guardian

    Isabelle

What else don’t vampires like? I know! Bring the Aspen Comb. This wood will help weaken Dracula’s influence and Juliette will once again be herself!

What a beautiful Aspen Comb. I wouldn’t refuse such an adornment. But Juliette needs it more. I hope the aspen helps her overcome the vampire’s essence.

  • Drops of Sun

    Martha

Juliette is going to Dracula as if she’s hypnotised. If he gets Juliette and the Steward’s Pendant, then he’ll hold his masquerade ball and bathe the City of Shadows in blood! Hurry, we need to free Juliette from the grip of the Bride of Dracula’s spirit! Let’s put together some adornments for her with charms that repel vampires. Look for Earrings with Amber, a sunny stone that absorbs daylight.

You found the Earrings with Amber. Juliette will certainly want to try on such unique jewellery, and the sunny stone will protect her from Dracula’s influence.

    Castle Gate

  • A Trap Beyond

    Martha

Where is the Detective’s spirit now that Dracula forced him out of his own body? Hmm, the Little Demon told that he saw the Detective evidently turn into Dracula after drinking the forbidden water from the Fountain of Souls. Bring me some City artifacts and I’ll try to talk to the gargoyle on the Fountain.

"Water!" - is all the Fountain Gargoyle said. Look! The Detective’s reflection is in the Fountain of Souls! The fountain’s water divides the worlds of the living and the dead like a mirror. The Detective looked into the Fountain and fell under Dracula’s control. The Detective’s true spirit is now locked in the underworld.

  • Flip Side of the Masquerade

    Juliette

As the Detective said, we need to finish the Halloween decorations and hang these lanterns. Somewhere around here you can find a Spider Doll. Catch it and let it hang the lanterns and decorations on the trees around the fountain.

What did the Spider Doll tell you? She saw the Dracula-Detective cut his hand and collect blood in the glasses we drank from? That means we drank his blood?..\n That’s terrible! What about him? You’re saying that under the guise of Dracula it’s not the Detective, but the real Count Dracula? But what happened to the Detective?
