This dandelion seems very fragile, but that’s just an illusion. Try to break it! You see, you can’t.

It turns out the Mayor contacted the Detective regarding the lost collection. The case file describes exactly whose autographs disappeared. I’m sure I remember that there was a postcard among them with Gilbert Heyer’s signature.

I just found out something! Do you know who the mysterious Mr. Heyer was!? He was a real invisible man. That’s why nobody ever saw him.

This Meredith is a very amusing character. She thought that gargoyles were a dying species and started a whole campaign to protect them. That’s what she became known for.

We can’t assemble the missing autographs until we find out who they belonged to. The Conductor has been in the City for a long time. For a bottle of wine, he’ll tell us whose signature to look for next.

This bottle of wine looks like it should do the trick. I hope we didn’t put all that effort into finding it for nothing.

Did you notice that the crystal orb sits freely on the stand? I checked some old notes, and it turns out that the crystal orb is attached to the stand using a Seal of Silence. Can you find it?

The seal is the last part of the scrying orb that was stolen from Martha. Let’s hurry and take it all to Martha; without her, we won’t be able to assemble the orb.

The crystal orb is completely useless if we don’t fill it with ghostly essence. That’s the next thing we need to find.

I haven’t seen the scrying orb myself, but I remember from Martha’s stories that its crystal orb was attached to a skull-shaped stand. If you happen to find something like that, bring it to me.

Let’s hope that this is the right stand. Of course, I can’t be certain - I’ve never seen it before, after all.

So, here’s some more detail about the case I spoke of. Many years ago, Martha lost her scrying orb, part of which is the claw you found. So to close this case, we need to find the remaining parts. For example, its huge crystal orb.

The most difficult part of our task lies before us - getting moonlight. Tonight is a moonless night, but you can get a small copy of the moon from the ghosts. It’s an orb made of moonstone which stores moonlight.

The light from the ghost’s little moon will soon go out. We have to hurry and perform the ritual before that happens.
Scare off the ghosts.

When we perform the ritual, all the ghosts in the City will try to stop us. Only the moonlight reflected in a spirit mirror can scare them off. Find such a mirror.

Unfortunately, we can only use this mirror once. So if you’re going to need another charm, you’ll have to find another mirror.
Seal of Peace

Martha

To seal the gates to the netherworld, a wreath is placed on the tomb as a symbol of eternity. The ghosts then take the wreathes in the hope that the gates will open again so that they can again be at peace. Every ghost is likely to have at least one.

The dried flowers from this wreath will serve as an excellent filling material for the charm.
Burial Tradition

After death, a person’s spirit is weighed on the Scales of Destiny. If it is lighter than a feather, then it disappears into the aether. On the other hand, if the spirit is weighed down by sins or unfinished business, it turns into a ghost. Ghosts carry these very feathers with them. We’re going to need some to make the charm.

Perfect. I can feel the lightness from the spirit feathers of that ghost you took them from.
Otherworldly Reward

Huntress

The pharaoh’s spirit appeared and left a ritual sceptre on the plate. It gives its bearer the ability to control mummies! But the sceptre is surrounded by a powerful magical field and can’t be touched. We need to find some powerful artifacts that will help us dispel the magic surrounding the golden sceptre.

I’m very grateful to you. With this sceptre I’ll find it a lot easier to deal with all the mummies in the City. Now I just need to stock up on fire darts.
Alabaster Flask

I had some success too. The scarab flask is just an ordinary alabaster flask cut into the shape of a scarab. You can imagine how heavy it must be.

I was right - the scarab flask really is heavy. I just hope it isn’t empty. Hurry and pour the liquid from the flask onto the ashes!

I see you fulfilled your part of our task successfully. You brought the plate. Now, let’s sprinkle the ashes from the urn onto it!
A Complex Algorithm

It’s written here that we need to find the pharaoh’s ashes, then to sprinkle them on a gilded plate and pour a balsamic liquid onto them from a scarab flask. That means that firstly, we have to find the burial urn!

Are you sure this is the urn we need? We don’t want to end up using the ashes of an ancient monster!

Remember, always take the dagger with you. When it comes to the moon werewolf, every second counts!

There’s a new monster in the City - a Scaly Gargoyle. Scaly Gargoyles are more cowardly and cunning than their kin. They rarely let their enemies get close to them. A sling is the best weapon for striking them from afar.

There’s a new monster in the City, a psy-werewolf. It looks like a miserable, trembling creature but his powerful psy-impact can easily turn you into a puppet, preventing you from fighting it directly. Only a taser can send this unusual monster flying.

Psy-werewolves are the result of a cruel experiment. They’re dangerous foes since they hate humans. They relate all humans to their torturers. With their skills, they can easily find rare artifacts but they’re unwilling to part with them.

While you were looking for earrings, I conferred a bit with the spirits of this hall. They told me that we won’t find the last piece of jewellery no matter how hard we look. It’s a diamond spider from the Lady in Black’s dress, which only appears when exposed to other the pieces. Put all the pieces of jewellery that we found on the mannequin in the same way as they’re drawn in the portrait.

As soon as you put on all the jewellery, hundreds of diamond spiders will appear from the wedding rings that are scattered in this hall. All of them will run towards the mannequin, merging into a single piece. Now the Lady’s face in the portrait has clear features. I think I’ve seen this woman before... The mirror has become clouded by fog and someone’s steps can be heard beyond it. Someone is coming...
Black Cat, Black Witch

We found almost all the jewellery from the portrait. I’m worried that every one of them is connected to black magic! Why was the Lady from the portrait wearing them? Look at these cat shaped earrings made from blackened silver, for instance. A black cat is a symbol of a powerful black witch, didn’t you know? It’ll be hard to find such earrings, unless they want to be found.

Brr... These cat earrings look like simple silver trinkets, but even a witch school first grader could feel the sorcery emanating from them.

All jewellery that the Lady in Black is wearing in the portrait isn’t ordinary. These are powerful magical artifacts. Say, this brooch that’s fastened at her shoulder... every witch in the world knows about it. Find this brooch but be careful. Don’t prick yourself with its sharp edges!

This brooch is a sort of love amulet. If a man agrees to wear it, his will and mind will be enslaved and he will obey every wish from the brooch’s owner. Even the most vile of wishes.

There’s an ink rose ring drawn on the hand of the Lady in Black. I’ve seen the same thing among the heap of bridal adornments in this hall. They’re just lying around on the floor, as if completely worthless! All jewellery is new, many even still with tags on them. Find the ink rose ring.

This rose on the ring... Rumour has it that any spell written with the ink of that rose, becomes twice as strong.

What a strange choice, look at the bracelet on the Lady in Black’s hand. It’s black onyx, a magical jewel that is used in many black magic rituals. Even I would be wary of wearing that. Where could it be?

The stone on this bracelet is completely black, you see! It’s as if light itself is avoiding it, it’s not even reflecting from the surface! And it has a letter M on the inside, the same letter that’s on the sorcerer’s signature.

He is a master of evidence searching. Show him the portrait of the woman in the black dress.

Look, the girl behind the looking glass extends a sealed envelope to us. It smells the same as the transformation potion. Listen to what’s written here, “I will take your wings. Angelic feathers will help me steal minutes of happiness from all lovers. "M.” I think we’re dealing with a dark magician who feasts on other people’s happiness. And he uses angelic feathers to do it. We need to know what happened to her wings.

Do you remember how she confessed her love to Jacob? it came with one word “Love” and it appeared across the sky. We need to find the proof of the love between the angel and human.

Look at the image in the mirror, the night sky is split in two by a fiery comet tail, and in the light of it you can make out the word “Love”. The angel girl raises her eyes to the sky and it appears, her memories are returning.
Smell Of Beguilement

Do my eyes deceive me? A transformation potion that turns angels into humans? I think I smell the unpleasant aroma of this substance here. Find the transformation potion.

The potion bottle is almost empty and there is a note inside. “I know what you dream about and if you give me the proof of your love and tear off you wings, I will make you human.” Signed “M”. Just who is this mysterious “M”? Who made this potion?

If City Hall’s records about angels are true, then the love story of your friend and an angel girl is one of sadness. They could never be together, for angels and humans come from different worlds. Look in the mirror. It reflects a pure white quill from an angel’s wing. I think, the girl from the mirror wants us to find it. But where should look?

Look, the quill is moving across the empty page from the record about angels. The letters are forming words, "There is only one way for an angel and a human to be together. For it to happen, an angel must give up their immortality, cut off their wings and turn into a human with a transformation potion."

What a fascinating story. If it’s true, we should really find out more about angels. But angels are not ghosts, and I have heard next to nothing about them. Let’s just hope that City Hall has records about beings of light too. Search for information about angels in City Hall.

Do you remember the inscription on the bride’s wedding ring, “To My Angel”? This hall has tons of invitations and love letters but all of them are crossed out or have a “Wedding is cancelled!” note on them. I’ve seen just one letter with “ To My Angel”. I’m sure it’s Jacob’s letter to his fiancée. Find it.

In the letter, your friend writes that he fell in love with an angel girl. He saw her in a mirror at first and she appeared before him in the glow of a candle. This fairy creature was so beautiful, Jacob couldn’t stop thinking about her. And, incredibly, the angel loved him back. One day she rose into the night sky and a comet shone above with the word “Love” in its tail.

I studied the wedding portrait of Jacob and his fiancée. Look closely, there’s a wedding ring shining on the girl’s finger. It probably has the bride’s name engraved on it. If you find this ring, maybe we can learn her name.

You found the wedding ring that was tied to one of the many balloons here? It would be sweet if the thread wasn’t black. It’s as if a black line of this spell crosses the brightness of your friend’s love story. There’s an inscription on the wedding ring that says, “To My Angel”. What does it mean? Is it just an endearment or is there some hidden meaning?

Reflection Of The Past

The vision in the mirror has changed. Now I see this hall and the lost piece of the portrait of Jacob’s fiancée. But the hall itself doesn’t have that fragment. If the mirror shows us reflections of the past, then we should look for the lost piece in the past. Find the fragment from Jacob’s fiancée’s portrait.

Look the fragment completely matches the contour of the lost piece of the portrait. The wedding portrait is restored and now we can take a good look at Jacob’s fiancée. She is truly beautiful.

A Peek Behind The Looking-Glass

I spent a solid hour trying to find out something about Jacob’s fiancée, but had no success. Did you hear the legend that mirrors can hold impressions of events long past? I tried to peek behind a tenuous edge of a huge mirror which was in this room, but the black hatred completely hides any visions of the past from my inner sight. To dispel this shroud of hatred, I need a special candle with an angelic shadow. Find it.

Darkness obscures the mirror’s reflection and the images of the past become sharper. I can see Washington Bridge. Oh no, there’s a girl on a railway bridge and her back is facing towards me.
