Hidden City Walkthrough

Quest

These are the story/quests featured in Hidden City. There is a vast number of stories, and please note that the order and categories are unorganized, so it might be a bit difficult to navigate. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Trial by Fear

    Martha

Only one more artifact from Pandora’s box left to find. It’s a huge metal spider who, when he feels a human aura next to him, comes alive and jumps at its victim. This spider causes the biggest fear in the mind of its victims and eats them while driving people insane. The trial by fear awaits you. You have to defeat the spider’s magic without your spirit wavering. Find the last artifact.

Now, when you passed the trial by fear, the spider turned into metal again and could be safely touched it. We have all five terrible artifacts. I hope we were on time and can still save Isabelle.

    Bedroom

  • Ancient Totem

    Martha

The next artifact from Pandora’s box is a Scary totem. Don’t let it peek into your soul or dark forces will seize power over you. Find the totem and be very careful.

Filthy pagan idol. The malice and hatred emanating from him makes even the astral plane’s colours bleak.

  • Ugly Mask

    Martha

The searching ritual with the bat’s poison made the mask visible for human eyes. Quickly, find it before it causes new troubles for the City.

You see, the expression of horror on the mask is the same as on Isabelle’s face. But this might be the only similarity. This mask is horrendous.

    Bedroom

  • Poisonous Guard

    Martha

My encyclopedia says that one of the strongest artifacts from Pandora’s box is the Lamenting Mask. With my astral sight I see that it’s safely hidden and being guarded by a poisonous bat, which is also one of the box’s creations. Without its poison we won’t ever find the mask. Find a poisonous bat.

You brought a bat? Be careful. Don’t let it bite you or I’ll have to save you, too.

    Bedroom

  • Tears of Fear

    Isabelle

I don’t know what’s going on with me. It all started with a cloudy mirror that the boggarts dragged in from somewhere. I was careless and glanced at it. Something terrible looked back at me through the blurry glass. Since then my soul has been seized by terror. I’m certain I put the mirror somewhere around here but tears obscure my vision and I can’t find it. Maybe I should look in the mirror once more and it will all stop. Please, help me find this mirror.

Let’s look in it again. Oh, how horrible! What’s happening to me? I’m vanishing. Please, talk to Martha, she’ll know how to help me.

    Bedroom

  • Quid Pro Quo

    Conductor

You found all the favourite drinks of our citizens and now we have a unique chance to check the story of the ghostly bartender and “The Bartender’s Nightmare” cocktail. Although, I have no idea how to summon this ghostly bartender; much less make him mix a cocktail. I know, if you find the way, I’ll owe you. Old Conductor knows how to be grateful.

You did it! The legendary cocktail really exists. Now I can find out if it takes you back to the past. But I’ll tell you about it next time. Thank you for your help!

  • The Tastiest Cocktail

    Conductor

We’re almost there. We have four liquors already. Valerie confessed to me once that she hadn’t tried anything tastier than a “Werewolf’s Blood” cocktail. So find it fast.

A great cocktail, but I still prefer pure whiskey. Even if it’s not on the rocks.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Formula To a Successful Game

    Conductor

Cardsharp’s favorite liquor? It’s easy to guess... For an avid gambler, it’s whiskey on the rocks. Find me a good single malt.

A good whiskey is an essential component of “The Bartender’s Nightmare”.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Anti-Fear Medicine

    Conductor

The only thing that can overcome Alex’s fears is absinthe. It’s probably his favorite. Find some absinthe, please.

Brr, absinthe. I just don’t understand how you can love this bitter thing. But for “The Bartender’s Nightmare” I’m prepared to endure its taste.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Foamy Goodness

    Conductor

Huntress’s favorite drink is a fresh beer. After every fight, frau Huntress laments that it’s hard to find her favorite beer in the City. But I’m sure you can do it.

What a smell! What foam... even with a damp glass. It’s the freshest beer. It’s good that frau Huntress isn’t here or we’d have to kiss “The Bartender’s Nightmare” goodbye.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Martha’s Favourite Drink

    Conductor

There’s a cocktail called “The Bartender’s Nightmare” that can return you to your happy past for a short time. They say you can get it if, once in five years, on a Black Friday evening, which is tonight, you collect the citizens’ five favorite drinks. Let’s look for tequila - Martha’s favorite beverage.

You found tequila in the City! Unbelievable! You’re a greater magician than Martha! Find four more of the City’s residents’ favourite drinks to make “The Bartender’s Nightmare” cocktail.

    Red Rose Cafe

  • Stone Bracelet

    Valerie

The bracelet’s magic has been weakened, and now Gorgon’s glance can turn it into stone. I feel so uneasy the second I imagine Gorgon’s glance. I hope, everything will be alright and I won’t petrify along with the bracelet. Okay, I’m ready. Bring me the Gorgon’s box and let’s do this ritual.

Under Gorgon’s glance the bracelet turned into stone and I was able to break it easily! Hurrah! My hand is free at last! I promise I’ll never try on jewellery without showing it to Martha first. Never again. There were a few artifacts inside the box. Take them with you.

  • Protection From Gorgon’s Glance

    Valerie

Now we need some sea water. What do you mean, why? Gorgon’s eye turns everything it looks at into stone. Only sea water can protect us from it. We need to drench my poor hand in this water or it too will petrify. So find some sea water, please.

Real sea water — fantastic! I’m beginning to think nothing is impossible for you. You’re my saviour!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Gorgon’s Fang

    Valerie

While you were away, I reread the legend one more time. It turns out, Gorgon’s fang can destroy any magic. If you touch a bewitched item with this fang, the bracelet’s magic will weaken. Can you find Gorgon’s fang?

How creepy! I wouldn’t want fangs like Gorgon had. But we’re almost there... only two items left, and this disgusting bracelet will be off.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Rose Oil

    Valerie

If you apply magical rose oil onto your hand, the petrified bracelet will slip off easily. But such oil is stored in a special magic bottle made from Venetian glass. Can you find one?

You found a Venetian bottle? Great. Mmm... what a pleasant smell this oil has. Do you think it’s okay if I take the rest with me? It’s so hard to find perfume in this City.

    Enchanted Ball

  • Spell-Counteracting Poison

    Valerie

Legend says that Cleopatra’s Secret poison, if applied to the bracelet lock, can weaken the spell. What a beautiful name! It sounds like a perfume. Do you really know where to look for it?

They say, it was that very poison that helped Cleopatra get rid of any unwanted suitors. You name it, this City has it! Maybe Cleopatra herself is here, too?

    Enchanted Ball

  • Wily Trinket

    Valerie

The records say the bracelet is magically protected from thieves. Legend has it that five magical items from the Enchanted Ball can weaken the spell, and Gorgon’s glance can turn it to stone you can break. We need a snake brooch first. Find it.

Wow! The snake from the brooch twirled down my arm and became thinner. But I feel no pain at all! I wonder if we could use it to make, say, a waist thinner?

    Enchanted Ball

  • Blooming Killer

    Detective

We have all the flowers and a few minutes to midnight. Place the orchids in the correct order and find a way to make this death flower appear. You’ll be generously rewarded, I promise.

Holy cow! It appeared! Phalaenopsis Aphrodite! It appeared in the circle of the five orchids. When it bloomed, it had Juliette’s ring inside! I swear by my badge, I’ll find the one who pulled off this dirty deal. But for now, I returned the ring to Juliette and she kissed me. Twice. I hope you won’t be mad that I didn’t mention your help.

  • Almost there.

    Detective

All that’s left is poisonous Brassocattleya Torntona flower. There’s no time to talk, the night is coming. Please, hurry and find the last orchid.

Great! You’re a real professional! With your credentials you could be a senior detective in New York.

    Manor House Gate

  • Fortune Flower

    Detective

Midnight is close and we have yet to find two more orchids. This time it’s a fortune flower, the mysterious Cattlea Gascella. I’m sure you can find it despite its strange name.

I told you so! You’re damn lucky. I hope we’ll be lucky in everything else and gather all the flowers before morning.

    Manor House Gate

  • One More Orchid

    Detective

Juliette told me about this orchid - Phalaenopsis Stuartiana. Her Mistress uses its pollen as a face powder. Find it, hurry.

It truly is a beautiful orchid. You’re a great partner.

    Manor House Gate

  • Magical Cattleya Moss

    Detective

The note says that a death flower - Phalaenopsis Aphrodite - will appear on a dark night surrounded by five orchids. We have to find four more magical orchids. Martha mentioned a magical Cattleya Moss that she always uses in her potions. Find this Cattleya Moss, please.

I don’t know how to thank you, buddy. Now we already have two orchids.

    Manor House Gate

  • Juliette is in danger.

    Detective

Buddy, I was investigating the mysterious deaths of five young girls and found out that they all dreamed about a flaming orchid before their deaths. Then yesterday, Juliette also had the same dream. I’m afraid... what if it’s some kind of a curse and now Juliette will die too?! But where should I start? There’s an orchid involved, so I should look for it.

The flower was in a vase and there was a torn page from some book under it, you say? Okay, let’s see...

    Manor House Gate

  • Robbed Cardsharp

    Cardsharp

Colleague, I appeal to your sense of justice! Your honest and humble servant was robbed yesterday. That’s right! Cardsharp has been played. I stepped out for a moment and an extremely rare object was stolen straight off the card table. Mr. Stone - that’s all I know about the thief. Please help me find what was stolen!

Thank you for this piece of evidence, I’ll give it to Detective. To find this crook is a matter of pride, and for Cardsharp pride is crucial. I’m sure that righting a wrong will be a great reward for you as well.

  • Mysterious Thief in the Manor

    Juliette

Mon ami! The Manor is under some kind of sorcery! I’m dusting every day and I noticed that my Mistress’s things keep vanishing by themselves. Why, only yesterday an incredibly rare amulet just disappeared! If I don’t get it back, my Mistress will think that I stole it. Help me find it! Don’t leave a damsel in distress!

A thousand thanks to you! This is just the item that disappeared! If not for your help, I don’t even know what my Mistress would’ve turned me into.

  • Reconciliation Spell

    Martha

Spirits stopped visiting the Room of Fate! All because of a horrible noise. Cardsharp had a row with the Mayor again and my ears hurt from their squabbles. I remember a wonderful reconciliation ritual. But the last time I conducted it was pretty long ago, about two hundred years, while I was still in young witches school in New Orleans. Could you look for my old notes about spells?

Great! Frayed yellow pages - this is definitely from my young witches school notebook. So many warm memories... Enough with the mush, we’ve got only two pages with the description of the ritual left to find. And let it be silence again in the Room of Fate!

    City Hall

  • Amulet for a Witch

    Isabelle

I promised Martha to infuse one of her amulets with anomalous energy! Now I’m super busy with studying new anomalous phenomenons in the City. Can you infuse this amulet for me?

I feel anomalous energy in this amulet, Martha will be glad. Thank you!

  • Stolen Jewels

    Juliette

A strange thing happened! I decided to try on my Mistress’s jewels and the second I came to the mirror, a flock of bats broke out of it and took it away! It’s horrible! How am I supposed to find them now?!

You are so kind to me! I haven’t even finished making a coffee to offer to you! Should we go to “Red Rose”? I have much to thank you for!

  • Phantom Menace

    Alex

I have an awful feeling that somebody is following me all the time. I hear weird footsteps behind me and stairs in the hall are always creaking at night. I’ve told Detective about this but he doesn’t believe me. I’m a simple ghost after all! Can you help me and check if there’s someone suspicious nearby? I’ll be so grateful to you.

You’ve found footprints and told Detective about it? He promised to start investigating as soon as he’s free? You see - you’re my only friend in this damned place. Take this present, I got it from the other ghosts of the City.

  • The Theft of the Witch’s Handbook

    Martha

It’s a disaster! When I woke out of the trance today I saw that the most terrible of my witch’s handbooks was gone. It’s a compilation of black curses that bring sorrow and death. Please, bring it back before it falls into the wrong hands.

Oh, astral spheres, the tome is back and intact. You’ve made it before the dark powers that stole it destroyed the City, what a relief. Here, take that item! My astral essence hinted to me that it’s vital for you to have.

  • Stolen Evidence

    Detective

I’m mad like a devil! The crime site is full of some strange footprints! Some monster had rested here and trampled over all of my important evidence like an elephant! Or even worse - took some with him! Find and disembowel this lousy creature but don’t forget to bring me everything you take from it.

This is all the monster had on him? Well, buddy, either it was the wrong monster or it managed to destroy everything he took. You can take these findings before someone sees it and thinks I’m incompetent.

  • Unsolved Mysteries of the City

    Mayor

Gentlemen! I feel that the past of the City of Shadows hangs over our souls. To this day, unsolved mysteries keep tormenting our residents! My search led me to a rare piece of evidence, but its trace vanishes in the present. Find it in the past.

Thank you for your help. You have found a truly rare item, it will take its well-deserved place in the list of City’s relics. The City parts with its secrets reluctantly but, piece by piece, we will be able to solve many of its mysteries.

  • Searching for a Suspect

    Conductor

I’ll tell you straight - I need your help. You see, Detective asked me to find out the location of a man who arrived in the City on the first of April. I could do it with my searching device but for this I need something that belonged to him. Help me with it!

You saved me, buddy. Now Detective will simply have to bring me a bottle of something sweet. And to you I give my sincere thanks!

    Collector's House

  • Wine Magic

    Conductor

You won’t believe it! I’ve discovered an amazing, wonderful, tasty phenomenon! If you leave a flask of wine in the zone of anomaly influence, it will turn into a heavenly nectar. Once the flask had “Mouton-Rothschild”, the next time - “Le Montrachet”! It’s just that anomalies scare the hell out of me. Could you infuse my magic flask with anomalous energy? What drink will it be this time - I’m burning with curiosity.

Mmm, great! I can’t name the wine but it won’t spoil its taste, right? Your willingness to help should be rewarded in any way I can, so - here, a small gift.

  • Real Forensics

    Detective

You remember the case of Borgia jewels? I think we didn’t take into account some important details. We should’ve taken fingerprints from every jewel. I planned to do it today but somebody stole my detective kit and without it I’m quite helpless. Help me out, buddy, find my tools.

Thank you for your help! No big cases would be solved without my kit. And now to work. I’m sure, the case of the Borgias will see a new turn soon. I’m so grateful to you.

  • The Nebetans’ Diary

    Detective

An opening can clearly be seen on the cache panel. It seems the tablet we found with a Sumerian symbol fits the opening on the panel perfectly. The Sumerian tablet is the key to the cache. Quickly, let’s open it!

Voila, the panel opens... And what do I see? A book? Is that all? How disappointing... I was expecting to see a huge diamond or a pile of rubies in there. But this is just a locked book. These scientists sure are boring! They make you stop believing in miracles!

  • The Dead Man’s Cache

    Detective

What would I do if I had something to hide? I’d use the skeleton as a marker. He’s looking forward, and his legs are straight. But there are no symbols ahead of him or behind him. Although... our skeleton friend is missing a hand. I think if we find the hand, we’ll find the cache as well!

The skeleton’s hand is pointing towards the wall where cells with some kind of symbols are clearly visible. This must be the cache. Now there’s nothing left to do but open it.

    Laboratory

  • A Secret Message

    Detective

If this basement under the Chapel is linked to the Master, and the Master worked with temporal disruptions, then maybe we should look at it through the Lens of Time. The Master, like any talented scientist, had something to hide, especially from strangers! Take a good look at this tablet. I feel it wasn’t always so smooth.

Success! I remember the sign drawn on this tablet well! It’s the Sumerian symbol we saw in the musical cache in the Organ! Why is it only visible in the past?

    Laboratory

  • The Master Again

    Detective

This picture of an hourglass really scares me. Games with time again? Is it the mysterious Master from the case with the Organ? I suspect this basement is connected to him somehow as well. But any accusation must be grounded strictly on clear evidence. Find evidence in the Chapel Basement!

What do we have here? What luck! This is the Lens of Time diagram! And it has the Master’s initial on it - the letter M. The same as on the Station Clock and on the Organ itself! Now we have proof that all these incredible things belong to him.

    Laboratory

  • Hourglass Coins

    Detective

There’s a strange red light coming from this flashlight! Well, as a treasure hunter, Cardsharp is certainly indispensable but it’s just as I thought - we’re not dealing with a Diggers Cache here. Hm... Look at these gold coins scattered on the Chapel’s floor! Something isn’t quite right with them!

All the coins have hourglasses imprinted on them! But hourglasses or not, the coins are one-hundred percent gold!

  • As if Nothing Happened

    Martha

A broken mirror promises seven years of bad luck! But I’ll help you avoid punishment from above. Thank the cosmos that we now have all the shards. Place them in the frame quickly and don’t forget to use the City’s magic.

What an amazing mirror. As soon as we put the shards back, they all came together without leaving so much as a trace that they’d been broken. But here’s the interesting thing; your missing friend Jacob is reflected in the mirror. Not even I can explain this oddity.

  • Just Between Us

    Detective

Juliette visited me. She was really upset and asked me to help her restore the broken mirror. Otherwise the Mistress will be angry and inflict some kind of curse! Just don’t tell anyone about the search. It will be our secret. My friend, find the mirror shard, quickly!

Ah, this shard used to be in the center of the mirror. I hope we have time to restore the mirror before the Mistress returns.

    Bedroom

  • Trembling at the Knees

    Juliette

The Mistress’ bedroom has a lot of mirrors. It’s good that only one broke. But how many shards scattered around the room! I’m so scared. What if we don’t have time and the Mistress notices the empty frame? Find the next shard quickly.

They are right about your exceptional ability to find things. You found the shard so quickly. I even feel less afraid that we’ll run out of time to restore the mirror before the Mistress returns.

    Bedroom

  • Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

    Juliette

Oh, monsieur! The broken bedroom mirror must be restored before the Mistress returns! Everything is quiet so far. Please find one of the shards.

It’s a good thing that you’re helping me restore the mirror. You’ve found the first shard? I hope you didn’t get cut by the sharp edges.

    Bedroom

  • Hurrying to Help

    Detective

Mike Stone lived up to his name and turned into real stone. But I still feel sorry for the poor guy. Although, on the other hand, Juliette is safe now. I think it’s time to head back to the hall and see if we can bring everyone back to life!

No dice! We can’t help them. I tried to smash the Gorgon’s head, but it’s protected by strong magic, invulnerable to weapons!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Final Memory Ritual

    Martha

I warned you not to approach the Manor, you arrogant fools! Thanks to you, the entire City could be in danger! What do you want from me now? A glass tear... Yes. It stores a final memory. Just as eyes are considered the windows to the soul, so are tears its blood. We must hold a ritual and melt it with a lens!

The tear melted, and in the resulting puddle, something is moving. It’s Mike Stone! Look, look! His hand is frozen on the ghostly woman’s choker! He’d definitely have stolen it if he hadn’t turned into a statue! We’ve been chasing him for so long, afraid of his criminal tendencies, but it turns out we should have been saving him!

  • A Glass Tear

    Detective

What should I believe? My eyes, or the iron logic of a detective? Are these living people or just statues that seem alive? Look! Something flashed next to one of them and fell onto the floor.

Just look at that. It’s a tear! But it’s made of glass! What magic is happening in this place? Martha has to help us this time!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Victory Seal

    Detective

I don’t feel so good! The gorgon’s cruel gaze is penetrating right through me, and I can’t move! Soon I’ll be the newest addition to the Enchanted Ball’s secret collection. Save yourself! Protect yourself with the gleaming seal!

Did you see? The gorgon closed her eyes as soon as you used the gleaming seal! It looks like you made the right choice, buddy.

    Enchanted Ball

  • An Evil Phenomenon

    Detective

We’re finally at this damned ball! Look... the champagne is still sparkling in the glasses but there’s not a single person here - just statues. It looks like all the guests disappeared a second ago. We need to thoroughly investigate what happened here.

What’s this? I can’t believe it... That’s not a chandelier, it’s a gorgon’s head! These ghosts definitely have a sense of humour. A gorgon appeared in the hall! It must be the evil Martha was so afraid of!

    Enchanted Ball

  • The show must see light

    Detective

Hmm.. From outside the Manor, I was sure the hall was brightly lit up, but the darkness here is impenetrable! I don’t want to walk around in the dark and find myself on the end of Mike Stone’s knife! We need light, and lots of it. But it’s so dark here that an ordinary flashlight won’t do. We need special candles!

This place gives me the creeps... although the hall is beautiful! The Mistress has a great imagination. The frozen figures look just like perfect copies of real people. Something tells me no one’s been here for a long time; the whole place is covered in dust and there’s no sign of Mike Stone! But I have a feeling he must be somewhere inside. This matter isn’t as simple as it seemed...

    Enchanted Ball

  • Visiting the Ball

    Detective

The portal is open, and now we can get into the ghostly ball. But this is a one-way ticket if ever I saw one! If our heartbeats end with the chime of the clock, then how can we go through the portal and remain alive? Maybe we could use the Beating Heart potion. Juliette said someone brought it as a gift for the Mistress.

    To your health, buddy!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Getting to the Ball

    Detective

You hear that? It’s almost midnight, and the sounds of music and the clatter of wheels are coming from the Manor. It seems Juliette was right - it really is happening. Now I just have to untangle this story, even if I have to take the whole Manor to pieces to do it! Let’s use the Master’s and Dr. Frankenstein’s invites to pay the ball a visit.

I’ll remember this outing for a long time. I haven’t been this afraid for years! But it seems as though nothing has changed in the Mysterious Hall! The figures are still motionless, everything is still covered in dust and cobwebs, but I hear the sound of voices and footsteps! What can we do?

    Enchanted Ball

  • A Clock and Bats

    Detective

Damn it, the clock face has neither hands nor numbers! When we went inside, everything was fine. Magic is clearly involved in this! But... you have the gift of seeing into the past!

Those flying bloodsuckers again! They’re the ones that took the hands and numbers from the Manor’s clock and hid them in the City! Quick, put them back where they should be! Now we just have to move the hands to precisely 12 o’clock!

  • Invitation to the ball

    Detective

There are so many of them! So... one of them is the Mayor’s. But it’s in bad shape, so let’s leave that one. Then there’s... Dr. Frankenstein. I didn’t know he was already in the City by then. And then there’s the Master... For some reason neither of them attended the Centennial Ball. We should think about why when we get a moment.

    City Hall

  • The Mayor’s Spirit to the Rescue

    Detective

City Hall is a place where you can always find an answer, if you ask the right question. Juliette mentioned the Centennial Ball. It was the largest event in the City, attended by the city’s most famous citizens! That being the case, there’s no way our Mayor missed the occasion. All we have to do now is find something that belonged to the Mayor and use it to summon him!

    Great!

    City Hall

  • Magic Against Magic

    Detective

Great Evil is sealed in the Manor! It has slept for a hundred years! I won’t let you wake it! Go away!

    Room of Fate

  • Evidence Extracted

    Detective

And so our investigation brings us to City Hall. It’s so dark here! I can’t see anything at all. It’s as if someone is deliberately obstructing our investigation and trying to keep us from following the trail! How are we supposed to find anything in this darkness?!

A page with a note about the arrival in the city of a certain M.S... Who would need to tear this out of the Conductor’s diary?

    City Hall

  • Glasses for a Boggart

    Conductor

The initials M.S. you say? And a golden cuff-link? You should have pawned it. You could have bought us all a round of drinks with the money! You say you have a bottle of Chardonnay for me? Wonderful, suddenly I remember something about this M.S., I think I have something written down about him. Now if only I could remember where I put my glasses. I can barely see anything at all without them.

Ah... So my glasses were stolen by boggarts! There’s no safe haven from those creatures! What did they want my glasses for? It’s not as if they read the papers! Hmm... Anyway, thanks. So, M.S... It’s strange, the initials are familiar but I don’t have any record of them.

  • Following the Conductor

    Detective

Who is hidden behind the mysterious initials M.S.? I’m sure the Conductor will know. He knows everyone in this damned City, but he won’t be easy to find in the fog covering the Station of Forgotten Dreams! Can you make anything out through this haze?

Yes! The flashlight is in great condition. It will work even against the thick fog that shrouds the Station.

    Station

  • Sounds in the Night

    Juliette

Une séance sortie, monsieur. This might seem crazy, but I definitely heard the clatter of wheels and the bang of the entrance doors coming from the Manor... and at midnight, terrible drawn-out screams! I swear I’m telling you the truth, please believe me!

This is impossible! A golden cuff-link at the Manor House Gate! I doubt something as valuable as that would have gone unnoticed! Just yesterday I tidied everything up here. I’m sure it wasn’t here then and nobody’s been here since yesterday evening!

    Enchanted Ball

  • Freedom Of Spirit

    Detective

You found all the items that a voodoo sorcerer uses to summon the spirit of Bloody Mary. Now help me conduct the ritual that will free her spirit and save the City!

Would you look at that! As soon as we dispelled the voodoo magic Bloody Mary smiled and vanished, leaving a few valuable items for you as a token of her gratitude.

  • Look at the past!

    Detective

The fabric of time over the Station has become so thin that we have a rare chance to peek into the distant past of this location. Take a look at it through the Lens of Time and examine the past crime scene at the Station. Find the piece of evidence that was missed by detectives in the past.

    Station

  • Fabric Of Time

    Detective

What an incredible device! And it has this “M” initial on the back. Perhaps it’s the first letter of the name of its creator. I’d like to know who invented this machine that lets you see the past.

    City Hall

  • The Beauty of Youth

    Detective

I’m itching to say “thank you” to the one who built the Organ! But I want to make sure that Juliette’s okay!

Oh, I’m so glad to see you, sirs!

    Manor House Gate

  • Keep Silent for Ever

Before we return to the future, we’ve got to make sure that the Organ will never play its sinister music to stop the City from going mad again! We have to seal the cache in the Organ with a musical key. The same one that the spirits left Martha.

The Organ fell silent forever and with it, the music time distortions have disappeared as well. The City’s been saved! We can now return to the future! Look, there are doves flying from the Organ! How strange! Where are they flying to?! Oh, there’s golden dust flying off them. I think it’s falling on us! It’s transporting us back to the future!

  • Symbols’ Mystery

    Detective

What’s to be done? No matter how much I press the keys, the jukebox keeps playing its pre-recorded melody. Do you recognise these symbols? They’re also on the Station Clock! It seems that the keys with symbols on must be pressed in the same sequence as on the Station Clock, but only here, in the past! Bring my diary. I wrote the order of symbols inside it.

Open the diary. The sequence of symbols you must play on the keys is here. Play carefully, my friend! The life of the City depends on those keys! The first symbol, then the second... Now you’ve played the correct melody!

    Organ Room

  • Music Cache

    Detective

A musical cache is inside the Organ... I can see a carved door without any handle or key hole but it contains symbols... 5 musical symbols with a fiery note in the middle. She expressly closes the cache. Search for the Lens of Darkness in the City, pal. It can neutralise any fiery items.

Fortunately, you’ve got this. The Lens of Darkness extinguished the note lock. Look, there’s another row of keys inside and they’re moving! A very big jukebox is hidden in the heart of the Organ.

    Organ Room

  • Organ’s Voice

    Detective

The Organ Room in the past looks exactly the same. Folios, artifacts, magic and... that Organ. The biggest one in the world, according to Martha. Look, its keys are motionless but I can clearly hear its music... If my ears are right, the sound is coming from inside the instrument. I bet there’s a hiding place inside the organ! Let’s have a better look.

Can you see that hidden door, my friend? The music’s coming from behind it, no doubt.

  • To the Past

    Martha

The horrible music that’s making the City suffer is coming from the past. Use the power of the Cogwheel of Time to peek into the past!

The rotation of the Cogwheel of Time is mesmerising, sending its holder into the past. Find the source of the horrible music that’s sending the City of Shadows’ time crazy.

    Organ Room

  • Looking For a Reason

    Martha

To solve the time mystery, we need to find out where this sinister music is coming from before it kills us all! I have to conduct a ritual and need the truth powder for it. The music will turn the powder into a cloud that will show us its location!

The powder cloud formed the silhouette of the Black Castle. I’m sure that the organ music is coming from the Organ Room there! But the organ is silent right now! Somebody’s using time magic to control the City! The answer to all this must lie in the past!

  • To Arms

    Detective

A Fire Gargoyle has stolen the musical key amulet. It’s a clue that the spirits left to Martha. Armed with the ice daggers we must fight. We’ve got to return the amulet. This key has the power of the spirits and is a clue on how to restore Juliette’s youth!

Here’s our key! I’m never going to let go of it again! I don’t think these monsters are in the City by coincidence! This musical key must be pretty important! We’re close to figuring out this mystery!

  • Ice Blade

    Huntress

Fire is afraid of ice and a Fire Gargoyle’s sole fear is the ice daggers, mein herr! I’ve seen such blades in the City! Find several of them before facing the beasts. Hurry, before the Fire Gargoyles overrun the entire City!

Now we’re ready for battle! Quake with fear, Fire Gargoyle!

  • Ready or not, here I come.

    Detective

I’ve never seen Fire Gargoyles in the City before. I’d better stay here and follow her. I can track her better than you! You must run to Frau Huntress! She’ll know what to do with these monsters!

A gargoyle? With fire blazing inside her?! Oh, mein herr... this is a Fire Gargoyle from the Great Dungeon! They’re the strongest gargoyles from the deep caves of the Labyrinth! Only daggers made from the ice of the most icy peak can extinguish the malicious fire blazing within her! Such daggers were kept in the City before but hardly any of them remain. I wonder why these gargoyles have appeared?!

  • Phenomenon

    Martha

Everything’s ready for the ceremony. The City is going crazy today from all the time jumping. Poor Juliette has aged, savage werewolves have turned into puppies and things age and get younger all by themselves! I think that strange melody is related to it! We’ll learn everything now!

Great! The spirits have departed but they left us a clue - this key shaped amulet. Give it to me! I think it’s a musical key! How strange - I can hear the music even more when I hold it! I think it’s from the Shadow side! Oh, merciful mediums!!!

    Room of Fate

  • Through Dog Eyes

    Detective

Here, drink this, buddy! The Huntress said that the puppy’s really clever and she thinks he understands human speech. Well, let’s see if he can find what we need!

We’re in luck! We’ve found the mirror cube that can decipher any words, even those of the spirits! We’re going to finally find out what’s really wrong with the City! Let’s do the ritual and save Juliette!

    Room of Fate

  • The wolf cub is our friend.

    Huntress

I didn’t throw stones at you, mein herr. But can we really trust Martha with children? Or even wolf cubs? Sometimes she can’t even get along with ghosts! No, I’m not against it but I am worried. What if the cub slips and falls to his death in the crevice?! If we send him there, then he must be on a leash! Do you think the City Hall has one?!

Great! I believe I can count on you, my friend.

    City Hall

  • Chat with a Ghost

    Martha

We’re starting the ceremony... What is happening to the City?! What... I can’t understand the spirit at all! It seems like the events in the City have affected the spirits as well! There’s only one hope left! You need to find a mirror cube! It belonged to the Manor Mistress once but she lost it in a crevice near the broken bridge. The mirror cube is our only hope! But the entrance there is so small that only a very small creature can enter it.

Thank you for helping me fight off this winged beast, mein herr! You’re looking for a mirror cube you say? To help speaking with spirits? You can’t fit into the crevice. It’s so narrow that only a child could go there?! I think I know how to help you!

  • Ouija Board

    Martha

I trust you completely, my friend. The Room of Fate is connected to the City by an invisible cord. Whatever happens there is amplified here! All items are in place. Find my Ouija Board!

A-ha, here it is! Thank you!

  • Ghosts at the Door

    Conductor

If I’m not mistaken, and I never am, the Master has fallen into a ghost world! Find Martha. She loves talking to spirits!

You’re just in time! It’s time to talk to the spirits!

  • Almost There

    Conductor

A flask? That’s just the thing... Thank you, my friends! I’m sure I’ll find a use for it! I have a couple of recipes for keeping the mind clear. Who, you say? Master?! Well... I haven’t heard that name in a while. Unfortunately, my lantern’s gone dark. If you’d be so kind, find me a good candle so I can check the arrival log.

    Great work, guys! Let’s see...

  • New Name

    Detective

Both hands on the Station Clock have the word “Master” engraved into them. I think this “Master” is connected to the “M” on Frau Huntress’s watch! We’d better go to the Conductor. He should know everyone in this City! Although... I don’t think he’ll tell us anything for free, especially since his favourite beverage keeps turning into juice! We’d better look for a present for him in City Hall.

A flask! That’s a great thought, buddy! A reliable antique vessel. That’s a wonderful gift for the Conductor! Especially today, as the whole City is going mad! I think he’ll know what to fill it with.

    City Hall

  • New Mysteries

    Detective

There’s some gibberish written on the hands of the Station Clock. What do you think these symbols mean?! Can it help Juliette get back her youth?! I’d better find some paper and copy them! Maybe a photograph would be better? Hmm, I seem to have misplaced my camera somewhere at the accident site. Could you look for it, for me?

Taking pictures and... Yes, good job. I’ve never seen anything like this before. What language is that? I’d love to help but the only tongue I know is my own.

    Crash Site

  • A Matter of Time

    Martha

Give me Frau Huntress’ father’s watch! I believe there’s a direct link between it and what’s going on in the City! This item has a strange aura. I’ve felt it already today. It’s the same aura that was flowing from the Station. It’s connected with time somehow! It’s about time! I’m sure the Station Tower clock is the answer!

A-ha... Even the clock in the Shadow City has its own symbol! Look!

Once I saw a ritual that can open any door when you draw out it’s contour on a wall with chalk. We’ll need chalk though.

It’s a good thing I took you under my wing! You’re good! Okay... let’s draw. Here. It’s opening!

  • The Invisible Door

    Detective

Juliette’s hiding from me because she’s that young lady who has turned into an old lady! I hoped Martha will help me solve this puzzle. But I’ve been here one solid hour and still can’t find the entrance to the Room of Fate. What an idiot! Do you see the door handle?!

Great, we have the handle. Almost finished, buddy.

    Room of Fate

  • Message in the Watch

    Huntress

Thank you, my friend. You’ve helped me again! Let’s wind it up... Hmm, the hands are going in the opposite direction! Maybe if I shake it? Oh... It has another, secret window! I’ve never seen it before! Look, there’s an inscription here but I can’t make it out. It looks like random words. Maybe it’s a code? The Deciphering Cube would be really handy right now. I’ve seen one at the Crash Site. Spirits trade with citizens there.

Thank you! You’re amazing! The inscription says, “Clocks are like hearts, beating out the rhythm of Life that opposes Death. M.” What a strange inscription... but I know it means something, I know my father! It’s probably related to what’s going on in the City! Maybe we should ask Martha?! She’s good with puzzles!

  • Handyman

    Huntress

Of course I’ll give you my father’s watch! Oh... it’s stopped! Looks like it was damaged during my fight with the gargoyle. Oh no! This is my father’s last memento! Please help me! Fix it!

Great! Now my father’s memory won’t be forgotten!

    Red Rose Cafe

  • First Aid

    Huntress

You did good by saving the cub from that gargoyle! But look at the horrible scratches on his back. The poor thing isn’t even whining! I have to take him in and tend to him. Please, find something to treat his wounds and I’ll stay with him and protect him! I think you’ll be able to find a first-aid kit at the crash site! It’s dark in there but you should be able to see the outline of a small case.

Good job! He’ll be back on his paws in no time.

  • Wolf Cub’s Rescue

    Huntress

The gargoyle took the wolf cub! It may just be a man that turns into a wolf but I can’t just throw him to the gargoyles! Give him back!

Oh, thank you for saving the wolf cub! This good deed will not be forgotten.

  • Super Precise Task

    Conductor

The main City Clock can’t be going backwards! This will break the law of the City’s equilibrium! Go find Frau Huntress! But hurry! She has the super precise Swiss watch of her father! We have to restore the time balance before we all go mad in here!

Thank you for the visit, my dear friend, but I’m a bit busy now!

    Room of Fate

  • Facts are Facts

    Conductor

I’m afraid to sort through the ticket list records and discover the Mistress’s involvement in Jul’s ageing. We need a Developing Solution! Nothing can hide from it, even if you delete it! The last one I saw was in City Hall!

A-ha, here! Martha on Tuesday, the Detective yesterday evening. No, I didn’t issue a ticket for the Mistress. I’ve heard she’d turn her butler into a harlot just for spilling some coffee. But to mess with the whole city, don’t you think its a bit much? Especially since I can’t remember the last time I saw her. Something is definitely wrong with the City! But I doubt it’s because of the Mistress!

  • Hypothesis

    Conductor

Okay... Maybe the now aged Juliette and my flask of grape juice is the work of the Manor Mistress? Bring me the ticket list. If the Mistress is back for real, it won’t go unnoticed by me.

    A-ha, here it is.

  • Magic Key for the Conductor

    Conductor

I’m in mourning! Not a single drop of wine in the whole City! It’s the worst day of my life. The only ones who have a handle on it are these diabolical gargoyles! They took the last bottle of Chateau Blanc! Greedy beasts! Tell me, why do they need my wine?!

You’re better than you seem. Oh... It tastes like the nectar of the gods! I could kiss you! Thank you! What’s the matter, my dear friend?

  • The Riddle Begins

    Juliette

Can I count on you? What happened to me... This ageing pill is the work of my Mistress, I’m sure of it! She’s punishing me for my beauty! The Mistress has long been harassing me. Please, help me, my friend! I have no one else to turn to! Please, ask the Conductor if my Mistress has returned to the City yet. I will plead and beg to discover what she wants in return for reversing this old age. But please, don’t take the Detective!

Oh, it’s you... Nothing seems to happen around here without you sniffing around. Can’t you see I’m busy?

No! Don’t look... I look awful! Time’s the best cure but it seems I was mistakenly given a huge dose!
