Younger Brother
Valerie
If Lady Peacock definitely didn’t turn into a peacock, then maybe she turned into a similar bird? Take a look in the encyclopedia! There’s a Himalayan Monal in here... Phew, I nearly stumbled on that name. It looks like the peacock’s younger brother! Will you look for this... monal in the Greenhouse?
Chirp-chirp... The Himalayan Monal is just as beautiful as a peacock, but I can’t say for certain that this is Lady Peacock. Let it stay with us for a while, okay?
-
Feathered Crown
Detective
We have only one chance to guess which bird Lady Peacock turned into. First, let’s choose the most suitable candidates. The bird must have some important traits of a princess. A crown, for example! I flipped through Adeline’s book, and the Royal Flycatcher has the most prominent "crown" among all the birds. Do you see one in the Greenhouse?
The golden crest on the flycatcher’s head does resemble a crown, but I doubt that this cutie is our princess Peacock. But let’s keep it with us for a while. Let’s continue.
-
In the Princess’s Footsteps
Isabelle
The Bird Catcher is a liar and a weasel - he pretended to be a Bird Seller, but he treats his feathered pets poorly. But is he dangerous to humans? Does he have anything to do with Lady Peacock’s disappearance? We must perform a ritual to find out how the princess’s visit to the Greenhouse ended. Bring me her things and a set of powerful artifacts.
I place Lady Peacock’s things into a runic circle, surrounding them with artifacts. The feathers from her garments are changing color. A silhouette of a woman appears in the pentagram. She is wearing a bird mask... Her face is losing human features, a beak is appearing on it... The Bird Catcher turned Lady Peacock into a bird!
-
Weak Defense
Adeline Svensson
I guess Lady Peacock could’ve taken her shoes off to escape the Greenhouse and save her life. But how could the Bird Catcher threaten her?! Perhaps she used some makeshift weapon to defend herself? Look for a fan. She always had one with her. Let’s look for it in the Greenhouse.
Lady Peacock’s fan is so fragile. Its feathers would have broken if she used it in self-defense, but they’re intact. And here’s a note: "Strange lightness, the sky is calling for me."
-
Impractical Footwear
Conductor
I will make the Bird Catcher tell us what he did to Lady Peacock! I would never believe that the princess, ahem, undressed voluntarily. If he so much as touched her... I saw her uncomfortable shoes, called padukas, somewhere in the Greenhouse. She couldn’t have left barefoot, could she? Let’s find them!
How can women even stand in these padukas? And here’s another scrap of paper from Lady Peacock. "Feet are chained by belts. Not belts - chains."
-
Choking
Martha
I just had a worrying vision... Lady Peacock is grasping her throat. She has a Feather Choker on her neck, her face is distorted with horror, and she is trying to scream... I cannot stand the thought that the Bird Catcher could have choked the princess. Look for a colorful Feather Choker in the Greenhouse.
This is the Feather Choker Lady Peacock wore in my vision. How could the Bird Catcher make her take it off? Here’s what she wrote: "I have no voice, gasping for air, words leave me."
-
Feathered Handcuffs
Detective
The Bird Catcher is a liar and a villain, but he doesn’t look like a robber. And I don’t see any signs of a struggle in the Greenhouse. I already threatened him with interrogation, but he keeps saying that Lady Peacock walked out of here on her own two feet. I think I saw the princess’s Armbands here. Find them.
Lady Peacock’s beautiful and impractical feathered Armbands. Why would she undress in the Greenhouse?! Here’s another note. "I throw my hands in the air, they do not obey, I drop my rings."
-
Robbery in Broad Daylight
Juliette
What could the Bird Catcher have done with Lady Peacock?! He doesn’t look strong enough to cause her physical harm. Maybe the scoundrel lured her into the Greenhouse to rob her? Let’s look for her things, perhaps some of her jewelry... The princess often wore diamond earrings with feathers. Look for them, mon ami!
Perhaps the Bird Catcher stunned the princess and took off her earrings?! Oh, there’s a note with Lady Peacock’s handwriting. "Ringing in the ears, head spinning." What has he done to her?!
-
Sticky Secret
Detective
We’re one step away from finding out what this sleazy Bird Seller is hiding. I read that Rosin is used as a part of "bird glue," but the Seller is making excuses for it. Martha will perform a ritual on his tools, and then we’ll find out what the Seller is hiding. This could lead us to Lady Peacock! Help Martha gather strength.
Martha runs her hands over the Bird Seller’s tools, her eyes are closed, she whispers something... What’s happening? Tears start streaming down the medium’s cheeks! A flash of light... She is holding a brutal trap with bird glue... it is filled with trembling birds!
-
Out of Place Smell
Adeline Svensson
As a journalist, I know a few things about gathering information. What is the Bird Seller hiding? We found out that he was going to get a bird of prey, and maybe he cut the wings of his pets. Stop... What is that smell? It’s a strange smell for a Greenhouse. Rosin! Find it.
My knowledge of art suggests that Rosin is used by musicians and ballerinas, and is also rubbed on floors. But I don’t see bows or wood flooring in the Greenhouse. Why would the Seller need it?
-
It’s a Trap!
Detective
My detective’s instincts literally scream that we are being fooled, buddy! Lady Peacock disappeared, and this scoundrel Bird Seller says he’s not involved. It seems that I saw a bird trap in the Greenhouse. Why would a simple trader need one? Let’s find the trap!
A-ha, a bird trap! You don’t need such insidious tools to sell animals. The Seller is keeping a secret about himself. And about the disappearance of Lady Peacock.
-
Measure Twice, Cut Once
Huntress
I don’t like this. That Bird Seller says he’s innocent, but something isn’t right here. I couldn’t find any weapons in the Greenhouse, but this doesn’t mean that the Seller is harmless. Even scissors are dangerous in skilled hands! By the way, I saw some in the Greenhouse. Will you find them, mein Freund?
I’ve read that in Persia they cut paper and cloth with such scissors. But the Seller doesn’t look like a writer or a tailor. Such scissors are even used to cut wings...
-
Taming the Beast
Inspector
You found a Hawk Anklet, and I remember the stories of my hunter friends. They tame birds of prey by putting a hood on them. This calms the bird, and then it’s used to hunt other living creatures. I wonder how the Seller is connected to all of this. Look for a Falcon’s Hood.
This Falcon’s Hood is brand new. It hasn’t yet been used to tame birds of prey. Does this mean that the Seller planned to buy an aggressive bird?
-
Bird Anklet
Lady
I want to believe with all my heart that the Bird Seller is just a bird trader, and all this is just an unfortunate misunderstanding. But I understand your doubts. You think that the Seller is not who he claims to be? Let’s look at his tools. I saw a Bird Anklet somewhere. Will you find it?
I expected to see a Bird Anklet that they put on pigeons’ legs so they don’t get lost. But this is a Hawk Anklet with an owner’s seal! Did the Seller sell predators too?
-
Mysterious Stranger
Martha
The Detective is right. The things you found definitely carry a feminine aura. Her tracks are fresh, so I can read the aura and establish the identity of your mysterious stranger in a ritual. This will help us save the person in trouble. Assemble the artifacts for concentration so we can begin.
I see the hazy image of a woman walking in the rain. It’s hard for her to carry the umbrella because her hands are full with a hot teapot and a miniature bird waterer... She is carrying a book of poetry, and her hair is adorned with... A peacock feather! Oh, god, Lady Peacock is in terrible trouble!
-
In Search of Profit
Cardsharp
Why did this mysterious person come to the Greenhouse? You’re looking for the motive in the wrong place, my sharp-eyed friend. Cardsharp knows for certain that people are always driven by profit.\n As proof, look for something valuable in the Greenhouse. Maybe our victim came with a purse full of coins?
The Embroidered Purse definitely belongs to someone wealthy, and the gold coins inside confirm it. Someone came to the Greenhouse to make a purchase.
-
No Time for Poetry
Juliette
The Greenhouse had a strange visitor, mon ami. They came in the rain with hot tea for two and a waterer - a treat for the birds. I saw a small book with an expensive cover somewhere around here, and I wondered what it was doing in a Greenhouse with birds. Let’s find it!
This poetry book hasn’t been affected by the Greenhouse’s humidity. This means that it appeared here recently, probably brought by the person in trouble.
-
Small Treat
Conductor
So, someone came to the Greenhouse in the rain, and with a teapot, but why? Perhaps the tea was for a tea party? If they were visiting a friend, they could have brought a treat for the birds. Some feed or a waterer perhaps... Could you look for one?
This waterer is much smaller than the others in the Greenhouse. It’s easy to carry with you. So our victim knew there would be birds and came prepared?
-
Caught Red-Handed
Detective
We’ve advanced in our investigation and found a trace of the person who visited the Greenhouse. But was this the villain or the victim? We need more details! I noticed something like a cloud of steam in the thickets. It could be coming from something hot, like a teapot. Find it.
A teapot it is! The tea is still warm. The one who brought it to the Greenhouse clearly lives nearby. Who would carry a teapot across the entire City?
-
Wet Trail
Inspector
Valerie is a novice in investigatory work, but she’s absolutely right: items in the Greenhouse could hint to the identity of the person who sent the bird for help. We should look for items that have recently been used. For instance, it rained yesterday. Look for a Wet Umbrella in the Greenhouse. It would be a useful clue.
This fancy umbrella is still wet after the evening rain. So, someone did come to the Greenhouse recently. But was this yesterday evening or just an hour ago?
-
Paradise Lost
Detective
In the middle of the night, a bird woke everyone up and led them to the exotic Greenhouse, where we found a note asking for help. There’s no doubt that someone in the Greenhouse is in trouble! We must be careful not to share their grim fate. Do you understand me?
-
Essence of Writing
Isabelle
We have a whole set of artifacts for an author of detective stories. However, if used individually, they will not help Valerie pull herself together and start writing. I will use a ritual to combine them into the magical writer’s inspiration set. Find City artifacts, and I’ll fill a talisman with their powers.
I drew runes on Valerie’s writing table and laid out the items. The artifacts flicker with the warm light of the writer’s candles - their light fills the runes... Done! The magical set of writer’s inspiration has materialized! Tell Valerie that I want the first book autographed.
-
Plans For Eternity
Mayor
Writing is not only a flight of fantasy, but also planning. A skill our Valerie often lacks. A Perpetual Calendar would be indispensable in such circumstances. I’m sure there’s one somewhere in the City. Could you look for it?
I could use a Perpetual Calendar like that myself. I think Isabelle will use it to create a magical set full of writer’s inspiration for Valerie.
-
Everything in Order
Detective
I promised Valerie that I would advise her on her detective stories. I’m sure she’ll use a notebook for her drafts. To better organize her thoughts, she will need a special Detective’s Bookmark. Go and look for it.
What a stylish bookmark! Bring it to Isabelle so that she can create her magical writer’s inspiration set. I can’t wait to read Valerie’s first book.
-
Source of Knowledge
Martha
Apart from inspiration, Valerie will also need extensive knowledge from a wide variety of subjects. This girl doesn’t seem like much of a book reader. Find the Ring of Extensive Reading to expand Valerie’s knowledge.
The Ring of Extensive Reading will help Valerie fill in the gaps in her education. Give it to Isabelle. She’ll figure out how to fill the magical writer’s inspiration set with the ring’s power.
-
Father of Detectives
Inspector
Isabelle has tasked me with finding a pen for our novice writer Valerie. Angela Crowley once boasted to me that she obtained the pen of a famous writer, the king of detectives. Look for it in the City.
This pen once belonged to the king of detectives. He wrote the most famous investigations in the literary world with this pen. I hope it inspires Valerie.
-
Rainbow Letters
Isabelle
I’m not surprised that Valerie wants to become a writer. After all, she has such a vivid imagination. We will create a magical writer’s inspiration set, but we’ll need rare ingredients for it. Look for some Rainbow Ink. It will serve as the foundation of our set. And it looks nicer than ordinary ink.
I had no doubt that Miss Crowley hid some Rainbow Ink somewhere in the City. I’ll start casting a spell over it while you continue your search.
-
Preparations for the Ritual
Martha
You collected enough warm things to start the ritual. Together we will remove the curse of the Wandering Cold and free the colonists of Roanoke! Help me concentrate my power to create an Indian Hearth that can heat everyone up.
You collected everything needed to perform the ritual. I’ll get started immediately. Oh, Spirits of Flame, here my call, break the chains of the curse that has bound these people! Let the Wandering Cold continue on its path without them!
-
Care for the Youth
Valerie
Among the lost colonists of Roanoke there are probably some children. A Warm Cradle will work for the youngest. I saw one at the City carnival. I think it’s worth a visit.
How adorable! This Warm Cradle looks so cozy that I would happily get in it! Now the colonist children of Roanoke will be warm and cozy.
-
Warm Hands
Juliette
The skin of your hands need to be protected, which is why I don’t go outside without my favorite Muff. Go and look for them. They will definitely help remove the curse from the Roanoke colonists.
However modest the first colonists dressed, they knew a lot about Muff fashion. I think the Roanoke ladies will love it!
-
Nostalgia
Huntress
Mein freund, did I hear that you’re collecting warm things for the colonists of Roanoke? We need Patchwork Quilts. You can probably find one in the City. Find them so we can put an end to the curse.
These colorful patchwork quilts will warm the body and soul of the cursed colonists. I remember how meine Mutti made one for me when I was little...
-
Practical Beauty
Lady Peacock
The light fabrics we have in my country are not able to warm up the Roanoke colonists. Look for some Indian Blankets. They are colorful with Indian patterns. The cold is not so scary with these.
Oh, how practical. Of course, for my hot homeland weightless silk is better, but these blankets are sure to warm up the Roanoke colonists.
-
Warm the Freezing
Conductor
Several of the Roanoke colonists had tattered ponchos. Just looking at the poor fellows makes me cold! Much time has passed since native Americans came to help the colonists. Go look for nice new Indian Ponchos!
The Indian Poncho looks very warm. With its help, Martha can definitely remove the curse from the Roanoke colonists. When all this is over, we must celebrate!
-
Peace and Ashes
Martha
The magic candelabras that you have collected have almost curbed the flame of rage of the murdered girl. All that’s left is to let her speak and find peace. Bring me some artifacts so that we can hear her message.
The fire taming candelabras are set in a circle around the fiery ghost. The artifacts drain the last drops of rage out of it... The ghost has been pacified! The manuscript is intact, and on the cover there is a fiery kiss - a memento for the Detective.
-
Victim’s Testimony
Detective
The girl’s ritual burning took place in New York, but her spirit came to the City as soon as I wrote about her in my memoirs... Go get a Five-Arm Candelabra and let’s put out the fire she’s caused!
A Five-Arm Candelabra put out the ghost’s fire so well that we can see something in the flame... She is burning, and a portal to the City is opening in the wall! Wow!
-
Dancing in the Fire
Inspector
I’m a bit jealous of the Detective. The victim of an unsolved murder herself showed up to identify the culprit. But the poor thing can’t be heard until Martha tames her fire. Get hold of the Four-Arm Candelabra.
The Four-Arm Candelabra is strengthening the inhibiting spells of our medium. I can already make out the ghost’s features in the whirlwind of the burning pages of the Detective’s memoirs.
-
Fiery Visions
Detective
The murdered girl’s ghost is raging stronger and stronger. I don’t think she likes our attempts to calm her, but we have no choice. Get a Three-Arm Candelabra before it’s too late!
A Three-Arm Candelabra! Look, Martha was able to curb the ghost’s fire with it. I can see hooded silhouettes in the fire. Her murderers? They were never found.
-
Taming the Fire
Huntress
The Detective’s revelations have awakened a ghost that is burning the City. If Martha believes that this lost soul can be helped, I won’t argue. Get hold of a Two-Arm Candelabra to pacify the ghost.
The Two-Arm Candelabra is bewitched in a way to effectively suppress the magical fire of otherworldly entities. It should handle a fiery ghost as well.
-
Flame of Anger
Martha
The Detective’s manuscript about the girl’s unsolved burning has awakened her unquiet spirit. She is furious and wants to say something, but I cannot contact her. We need to soothe her fire. Fiery monsters use magic candelabras to restrain their fire. Get hold of a One-Arm Candelabra.
A One-Arm Candelabra will do for a start. Give it to the Detective... I see a lot of fire and some silhouettes through her eyes. There is more than one person. She was killed by a group of people.
-
A Tamed Flame
Martha
We’ve assembled the druidic objects and I’m ready to conduct the oak grove ritual. The Mayor won’t let us burn fires in the streets, but that’s just a formality. We’ll use a special fireplace that I use for magical incinerations. Will you prepare the artifacts?
The cinders in the fireplace light up with fire. I put our offerings into it, and the flame consumes the flowers and branches, creating a fragrant magical smoke. Together with the magic of the City, it creates a veil that is impenetrable to spirits. Now no one will interfere with the Halloween celebrations!
-
Concentration Beads
Martha
To complete the druidic ritual, we need not only magic fuel for the fire, but also a special tool for concentration, so that my consciousness can call upon the spirit of the ancient forest. Look for Oak Beads.
If I run the Oak Beads through my fingers, I can channel the oak grove, enter a special trance and harness the ancient power of the Druids.
-
A Bouquet for Spirits
Juliette
I recall some children’s tales about the Druids: people gathered bouquets of wildflowers, went to the forest and made floral offerings to the fairies and spirits of the forest. Mon ami, let’s gather a bouquet for Martha’s ritual.
This little bouquet offering will quickly burn in Martha’s druidic fire and help protect our City from the attacks of spirits.
-
Children of the Great Oak
Huntress
Our witches are grieving that they won’t have an oak grove for their Druid fire. I’m certain I saw a couple of lone oaks in the City. Their branches would make for excellent magical kindling. Let’s find them!
The smoke of the sacred Druid fire from the burnt oak branches will create a magic veil that will block harmful spirits from entering the City.
-
Celtic Knot
Isabelle
Are you preparing to light a ritual Druid fire to pacify the spirits in the City? Druids are Celtic priests, and one of the main tools in their rituals is a Celtic Charm covered with runes. Could you look for it?
This Celtic Charm remembers the aura of the ancient forest. It will infuse Martha’s fire with the energy of the ancient druidic rituals. It’s a pity we don’t have an oak grove in the City...
-
Slumbering Flame
Martha
The ritual fire of the Druids, lit on the eve of Samhain - that’s what they called Halloween - will help us pacify the spirits. The fire started with the smouldering cinders of a tree, set ablaze when it was hit by lightning. It’s no easy task, but I believe that you can find such cinders.
Those are just the kind of smouldering cinders I need! I can feel the slumbering fire and the power of heavenly lightning in them. Just what we need to light a Druid fire.
-
Rainbow Tail
Lady Peacock
I swear there’s a Rufous-Tailed Jacamar in the City! I saw drawings of this bird and I really wanted it for my birdhouse, but it was too difficult to bring from South America. Catch the jacamar!
It looks smaller in the pictures. What a big colorful bird! Don’t be afraid, my dear. I’ll let you out very soon. Just sing to me...
-
Amazing Chorus
Martha
The birds you’ve caught come from America, where the Captain spent a lot of time looking for King Arthur’s gloves. There’s something in their song... But I just cannot get the meaning. Bring me some artifacts to enhance my magical concentration.
The birds sing in chorus as if they’re trained - or enchanted. The artifacts resonate with the trills and I’m starting to hear... Here, I recorded all five trills in the form of a score. It really does make sense. Now Lady Peacock needs a musician to read it.
-
Tropical Singer
Martha
I started deciphering the bird trills. A rare Red-Winged Blackbird has appeared at Lady Peacock’s place. They’re found in the American tropics. Bring it to me, alive and unharmed.
It’s called red-winged because of its orange plumage. Together with other birds it will sing a song that I will decipher for Lady Peacock.
-
Red Accent
Valerie
Do these birds really carry a message for Lady Peacock? By the way, I noticed that the first two birds are from America, where the Captain was looking for an artifact! I saw another "American" - a Summer Tanager. Let’s catch it!
Don’t be afraid, little tanager! Be careful with it. It’s on the Red List of Threatened Species. I remember it from high school. Take it to Martha, and don’t rumple the feathers!
-
Painted Herald
Detective
There truly are new birds on the Pier! Oh, look, there’s a colorful one! I bet my scout’s badge that this is a Painted Bunting. We have them in North America. Catch it.
It’s very difficult to track down a Painted Bunting, even though it’s colorful. You’re a true bird watcher, buddy! Let Martha decipher its song - and let’s free the fella.
-
Blue Bird of Happiness
Juliette
I hope these new songbirds on the Pier will tell Lady Peacock something new about her Captain. Do you know how to catch birds, mon ami? I was admiring a little blue bird. The Detective told me that this is a Bluebird from North America. Catch it! I’ve never seen one in the City before!
The Bluebird is so graceful! Even in captivity, it continues to sing. Lady Peacock will release them as soon as Martha records the magical score of the bird’s song.
-
Risky Divination
Isabelle
The Detective told me about his fears and asked for my help. I never worked with such powerful artifacts as the ones Martha has and, ugh, the Werewolf Sign. But I’ll try to help. And, having the City’s artifacts on our side, I’m sure we will quickly find out what is hidden in the Mistress of the Manor’s future.
I concentrate on the mystical symbols of confrontation, magic, danger, and love... Oh, no! I see the leader of the werewolves. It says that its brothers will leave the City when they find the Mistress of the Werewolves - a she-wolf in sheep’s clothing.
-
Erased People
Adeline Svensson
Your Detective needs the help of a recognized expert in Giovanni di Fiori’s life. Did you notice that di Fiori only painted landscapes and urban sights, avoiding the depiction of people in any way possible? On the sketch of his masterpiece, he drew and erased several figures. Let’s look for something about his family.
We found di Fiori’s most sacred belonging! This medallion contains the portraits of all those who were dear to him: his mother, father and bride. They are all dead...
-
Soul Catcher
Isabelle
All the soul stones from the precious jewellery set are gathered in one place. They gleam ominously, attracting the surrounding ghosts. Soon, their emanation will draw the spirit of voodooist Marie Nuvok as well. Do you have enough City artifacts to strengthen my sealing charms?
The ghost of the witch flew into the jewellery box, hoping to regain human form using the soul stones. But we slammed the trap shut! Marie Nuvok, I banish you forever. Find peace and never leave this box again! We’ve won, my friend.
-
Villain’s Atonement
Mistress
Of course, I knew that the ghost of Marie Nuvok was locked in the Manor’s dungeons. We witches increase our strength by any means necessary. If you wish, look for my Magical Tiara with soul stones, this scoundrel stole it.
I’m sorry to part with the tiara, but you won’t leave me alone otherwise. Let Isabelle do something useful for a change and seal the spirit of Marie Nuvok forever.
-
Supernatural Anger
Lady Peacock
I told the Detective about my missing pendant, but I didn’t think there was magic involved. This pendant used to awaken an unusual anger in me... Please find the pendant and give it to Isabelle.
Isabelle says that this is the Pendant of Evil. I can’t believe I was wearing this frightening thing containing a soul stone as a piece of jewellery. Hopefully, the ritual will be successful.
-
Source of Arrogance
Isabelle
I wouldn’t want to see Marie Nuvok return to the world of the living. I’m an expert in magical objects and I can seal out her spirit forever, but first we need to collect the soul stones. The Huntress says that she’s missing a ring. Find it.
The Ring of Dominance with a large lilac diamond. The huntress always seemed so arrogant when she was wearing it. I should have guessed.
-
Ghost’s Trophy
Juliette
The Mistress departed and left me with a task in the Manor’s dungeons. I was wearing a brooch from that jewellery set... Suddenly, the dark ghost of a woman appeared, tore it off me and flew away. Will you look for the brooch?
I didn’t really like that brooch, mon ami. It’s beautiful, but it made me feel like the people dear to me were not so good and that I didn’t need them at all.
-
Lilac Diamonds
Detective
All the victims describe the lost jewellery as massive, made of gold, and inlayed with rare lilac diamonds. The thief must want them for the gems. Valerie had such a bracelet, but it made me feel uncomfortable when she was wearing it. Let’s start our search with the bracelet.
Whoever the thief is, their trick didn’t work, and you managed to find the bracelet. You’re a real ace, buddy! It’s unpleasant to hold the bracelet in my hands... What magic is this?
-
Treats for Two
Doorkeeper
I’m so grateful to you for helping me collect silverware for a tea party with Lady! Our conversation would go more smoothly if there was a delicious treat just for the two of us. If you bring me some artifacts, I’ll try to summon some treats for tea!
The silverware is placed on the table with a lacy, snow-white tablecloth. Only the center is empty. I concentrate on the artifacts and... Look! A Cookie Jar with a treat for two! I hope Lady will like it. I’ll go invite her...
-
Cure for Burns
Conductor
This Doorkeeper is a nice fellow. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that Lady appreciates his idea and softens up from the tea party. Find them a Cup Holder so that they don’t burn their fingers.
This silver Cup Holder will save the Doorkeeper and Lady from burns, as an injury would spoil the whole conversation. Being the Conductor, I know the value of such a thing!
-
The Heart of Tea Drinking
Isabelle
I’m not a romantic, but the idea of having a tea party for a heart-to-heart seems logical to me. The Doorkeeper should have done this a long time ago. Find him a Samovar.
The Samovar is just as elegant as the whole tea set. It’s big enough to make a few cups of excellent tea for Lady and the Doorkeeper.
-
Runaway Tea Leaves
Juliette
The tea party must be perfect so that nothing distracts the Doorkeeper and Lady from their conversation. As an experienced maid, I advise you to look for a tea strainer. Catching tea leaves with a teaspoon is so distracting!
This Silver Strainer will help the Doorkeeper brew some tea for Lady with the utmost care, without letting a single tea leaf escape into her cup!
-
Magic Spoon
Inspector
It’s commendable that the Doorkeeper has decided to discuss the problems with Lady over tea. But imagine how his hands will shake during the conversation! Find him a special Teaspoon!
With this Teaspoon the Doorkeeper can put the tea into the teapot without spilling anything. You have no idea how women hate scattered tea!
-
From Chosen Leaves
Lady Peacock
I approve the Doorkeeper of Spring’s idea to arrange a conciliatory tea party for Lady! We women really appreciate such gestures, so I would recommend a silver tea set. But what to start with... There can be no tea party without some tea. Believe me, they know a lot about tea in my homeland! Find a Tea Jar.
This silver jar contains a truly magnificent tea! I can say this with confidence, having just smelled it. Its taste will put Lady in a good mood.
-
Elusive Changes
Isabelle
I managed to dispel the fog a little, and from here you can already see the courtyard at the Manor House Gate. Everything looks the same - there are the same piles of gifts left by the Mistress’s admirers.\n But something has changed here, ever so slightly... Do you have this feeling? Maybe one of the gifts caused the anomaly. Let’s look around.
In addition to flowers and gifts, there’s evidence of an explosion and shards of glass at the Manor House Gate! Magical reagents are scattered everywhere, and there are traces of bewitchment... This is the Mistress of the Manor’s handwriting. I’m sure that she’s responsible for the fog.
-
Under the Veil of Fog
Detective
We’re one step away from entering the location. What will we find there? New mysteries of the City are waiting to be uncovered. Go on, enter!
The location is now open! Do you feel the pull of new adventures? The magic of the City is calling out to us!
-
Wonderful Recharge
Isabelle
A couple of friends need your help doing some daily chores. I mean, a little magical help never hurt anyone. I’ll teach you. Let’s go see our friends and charge one of the locations with our charms.
Great! Your friend’s location is charged with magic! This will help him out a lot and next time he’ll be just as eager to share his charms with you.
-
Friendly Meeting
Juliette
Have a look! Some of your friends have appeared in the City!\n What could be better than a friend coming over for a cup of tea? I’m sure he’s brought along some nice cookies. Well, go and welcome our friend and I’ll quickly prepare our tea!
I see it on your face: you enjoyed having your friend over as a guest. Greet your friends every time you notice them on the streets of the City!
-
Toward the Sun
Martha
My sister’s locket gave me my power back, and now I’m able to dispel the fog again and protect the City from it during the day. I’ll close the breach in our defenses at the Manor House Gate, which appeared because of my confrontation with the Mistress. I promise not to resort to magic when feuding with a neighbor in the future. You saved everyone!
-
Hunting in the Fog
Isabelle
Everything is ready for our meeting with the werewolf. While the Huntress is arranging an ambush, I propose we look for City artifacts to enhance the allure of the bait. I will perform a ritual that will attract the same werewolf that stole the locket from Martha. Let’s hurry, we don’t have much time.
You did it! The trap snapped shut, catching the werewolf. The Huntress reacted in time and managed to take Martha’s locket from the beast before it freed itself and disappeared back into the fog. Only clumps of fur remain.
-
More Reliable Than Any Weapon
Huntress
The final preparations for the hunt, mein Freund. To catch the werewolf and return Martha’s locket, we need a Trap. Our main weapon will be an object without any mystical properties. Strong metal, sharp teeth, and bait are more reliable than any gun.
A good Trap. Curious that you could find one like that by the Gate. I think there are traces of the Mistress’s charms on it for catching suitors. As for us, we will use it to catch a werewolf.
-
Cunning Move
Mistress
You have to outsmart the one you’re trying to catch. To take the locket from the werewolf and return Martha’s powers, you need a strong poison made of Wolf’s Bane. Look for this plant at the Manor House Gate. This is the best thing you can do to prepare for the hunt. Get going!
Wonderful, you are ready to hunt the werewolf. This Wolf’s Bane will produce a very concentrated poison. My grandfather used it to coat arrows during a wolf hunt.

Rowan Protection
Inspector
In my youth I visited hunting grounds in Central Europe. Hunters in those parts have a tradition: not to take up arms until they have a rowan protective charm in hand. I’m sure there’s a bracelet like that at the Gate. It will help in the hunt for the werewolf.
The Rowan Bracelet you found is a wonderful specimen. I hope it protects you from the werewolf’s claws and helps return Martha’s locket.
-
Bait
Martha
To lure the werewolf out of the fog, we’ll need a Wolf’s Cross as bait. I often used this amulet to recognize lies and insincerity. But I couldn’t find it in my room. It must’ve been carried to the Manor House Gate by the explosion. Will you look for it?
This Wolf’s Cross is indispensable. As an artifact, it is great bait for a werewolf, and as a protective charm. It will give you foresight and strength.
-
Best Protection
Huntress
So, the werewolf stole Martha’s locket that nurtured her power. The first thing we need to catch it is protection. A good hunter always has a retreat plan in case something goes wrong. Find a Prayer Ring and read a protective spell as many times as there are beads on the ring!
Excellent, the Prayer Ring is made of the purest silver. Its presence alone will seriously weaken the werewolf once it approaches us.
-
Memory’s Awakening
Martha
The items you found are dear to my heart. They fill me with energy, and I feel my memory coming back to me. But I still cannot remember the artifact that bolstered my strength. Ah, I remember, I wore it on a chain...\n I need to perform a ritual, and the City’s magic will help me. Please, bring me some artifacts. They will give me strength.
I feel the powerful energy that filled me with strength. This energy is stored in an old Family Cameo depicting two girls. Me and my sister Erin. Look, there was a note in the cameo. It fell out when the werewolf took it.
-
Child Prodigy
Isabelle
You know, Martha was enrolled in the School of Magic without exams because she managed to temporarily animate a figurine of Porcelain Kittens. Maybe they were the receptacle of her power? Let’s find the kittens at the Manor House Gate. I hope the fragile porcelain wasn’t damaged in the explosion.
Wonderful, the figurine is intact and the animation spell still works. The kittens come to life from time to time. Maybe they will help Martha regain her strength.
-
Witch’s Bracelet
Valerie
Friends from Martha’s childhood... Maybe the memory of them feeds Martha’s power? I saw a friendship bracelet among her things. She called it a Witch’s Rosary and said that it was very dear to her heart. Let’s find it at the Gate. I wonder who Martha associates it with?
Doves are a symbol of true friendship, and they are woven into Martha’s Witch’s Rosary. She cherishes the person with whom it is associated.
-
Granny’s Pins
Lady
Family heirlooms are precious to our hearts. Martha once showed me the Magical Pins she got from her grandmother. These are a real magical tool. Their mystical properties will help awaken Martha’s power, and she will regain her strength.
These Magical Pins are so exquisite. If I didn’t know about their magical value, I would’ve asked Martha to lend them to me to decorate my spring hat.
-
Python’s Whisper
Juliette
Mon ami, did you know that Martha communicates with her python? She uses an enchanted snake cuff for this. She told me that the ouroboros helped her to realize many truths. Let’s find the Snake Cuff and return Martha’s memory and power to her.
The Snake Cuff looks like a python wrapped around the ear, whispering something to its master. This is definitely a source of magical energy.
-
Medium’s Pyramid
Isabelle
Martha draws strength from practicing everyday. So what object filled her with power? Maybe the explosion scattered her tools, such as an Energy Pyramid that helps her concentrate astral energy? Let’s find the pyramid among Martha’s things at the Manor House Gate.
I feel great power in this Energy Pyramid! It contains an array of astral energy. It’s strange that the werewolf didn’t take it.

The Huntress Reads the Trail
Huntress
To find out what creature visited Fraulein Martha’s session, I’ll need to connect all the clues you found and study them. The fog has changed and mixed them quite a bit, so I’ll need the power of artifacts. They will help me use my inner sight. Bring them to me and I will begin immediately.
The City’s artifacts helped me read the tracks left by the creature, and they formed an amulet with fangs - the sign of a werewolf. Bitte, don’t come near. It reeks of this greedy beast. I want to catch this werewolf. My blades are ready!
-
Off the Chain
Valerie
Look, is that an Unfastened Collar over there by the Gates? Let’s get it! I don’t think it’s a gift from one of the Mistress’s admirers. Though it would be a good idea to chain her up. Uh oh, she’s standing right behind me, isn’t she?
A huge Unfastened Collar. I wonder what monsters fancy these nowadays? I’m sure the Huntress can tell us.
-
Black Marks on a White Shawl
Inspector
I saw a Stained Shawl at the Manor House Gate. I wanted to pick it up, but the wind caught it and carried it away. We need to find it. The mark on the shawl will make it easy to determine what creature left it when sneaking into Martha’s session.
Wonderful, you found the shawl with the paw prints of our uninvited guest. I’m sure the Huntress will figure out who this giant print belongs to.
-
Silver Evidence
Detective
In an investigation, it’s important to notice not only visible evidence, but also what the thief tried not to touch. I noticed several Silver Cups by the Gate. Our vandal went around them with the grace of a ballerina. Let’s study these cups. Maybe this will tell us who was at Martha’s session?
Hmm, one of the Silver Cups that we found has some burnt fur stuck to it. Give it to the Huntress. Let her figure out what creature attended the session.
-
Facts About Claws
Juliette
Oh, mon ami, I just noticed the way Martha’s dress is torn. I thought it was because of the explosion, but maybe it’s the work of the creatures that invaded the session? Let’s look for claw marks. The Huntress can easily use them to identify the monster.
The claw marks on the banquette are very clear and belong to a huge and powerful creature! I’m scared. What if this beast is still here, hiding in the fog?
-
Knife Not For Cutting
Huntress
I have some ideas about who was the secret guest at Martha’s session. Still, it’s too early to draw conclusions. I noticed a knife thrust into the ground by the Gate. Let’s find it. It will help us figure out what creature visited the session.
Bitte, look. This knife is an example of very ancient magic. The creature transforms by tumbling in the air over the knife stuck into the ground.
-
Fragments of the Past
Martha
You found all the items that we used in the divination ritual. I’ll try to gather my remaining powers and concentrate. I will need City artifacts to restore the crystal ball and my memories. We are one step away from knowing what caused the fog. Will you help?
The spirits guide me, turning back time... The pieces of the ball come back together, Juliette, closing her eyes, throws the Witch’s Ladder onto the Ifa Tray. Purple fog fills the orb, and I’m trying to read her future. I see... a woman. It’s the Mistress of the Manor!
-
Trinity Talisman
Juliette
There was another talisman at the divination session, the "Moon Faces" amulet of the trinity goddess Hecate. It’s a symbol of three female images - a girl, mother and an old woman. Let’s find the Moon Faces Amulet. It will help Martha remember the events of the session.
The Moon Faces Amulet will definitely help Martha regain her memory. She always aligned her divination sessions with the phases of the moon. And today’s session was no exception.
-
Gifts for the Goddess
Juliette
I almost forgot - before the beginning of the session, Martha said that if we made offerings to the Moon goddess, she would reveal more details of my future. I offered several crystals as a gift to this deity. Let’s find a figurine with offerings to the Moon.
This is the figurine with offerings to the Moon that I donated for the ritual. People used to believe that it protected them from evil spirits of the night. I hope the Moon helps Martha regain her memory.
-
Ifa’s Prophecies
Isabelle
I’m familiar with this part of the fortune-telling that Martha did for Jul. The Witch’s Ladder is tossed onto a beautiful carved wooden tray called an Ifa Tray. It gives precise answers when reading the future. Let’s find it. This will help Martha recall the events of that session.
You found it! This tray looks very ancient. Martha brought it from New Orleans. Can you imagine how many fortunes have been foretold with its help?
-
Tangled-Up Divination
Juliette
Before the session, Martha asked for an item belonging to me. It would point to the things that interest me the most in my future. I gave Martha my ring, and she weaved it into the Witch’s Ladder - a rope decorated with feathers and beads. Let’s find it.
Yes, this is the Witch’s Ladder Martha made for the fortune-telling session. She could read my destiny by the shape this rope would take.
-
Soothing Fragrances
Juliette
When I entered the room, I caught the strong scent of lavender. Martha placed a huge Lavender Heart on the table and said that the smell of lavender would open my astral field to allow her to look into my future. During the explosion, the Lavender Heart was thrown towards the Manor House Gate. Let’s find it.
Excellent, this is the Lavender Heart from Martha’s ritual. Its scent is so calming...
-
Amulets of Animosity
Isabelle
All these items are endowed with the special energy of Martha and the Mistress, but individually they are useless. Putting them together isn’t easy - they are pushing each other away. We’ll have to resort to the magic of artifacts to assemble the items and find out which of their interactions weakened Martha’s power. Can you handle it?
I see the true essence of the objects we found. Look, two spindles crossed like swords - both witches created powerful confrontation artifacts equal in strength, and because of them Martha’s protection from the fog could have dwindled. But something else destroyed it.
-
Purification by Smoke
Conductor
Do you smell the choking aroma of wormwood? Martha once told me that she uses wormwood to dispel charms. The Mistress definitely wouldn’t like this. Let’s find and extinguish the smoldering Bundle of Wormwood. I’m sure this will get rid of the fog.
I can breathe easier now! If my neighbor started fumigating the courtyard with such a broom of wormwood, I would also be at odds with him. No spells are needed for that. But the fog didn’t go away.
-
Curse in a Bottle
Isabelle
Martha used charms to ward off the Mistress’s admirers, who interfered with her work. I think the Mistress didn’t like this. What could she have used against Martha to cause the fog to appear? Do you see a bottle with a pentagram at the Gate? Let’s look for it.
Oh! Just what I thought. This is a "Witch’s Bottle!" It turns a spell against its creator. But it’s not enough to release the fog. We’re still missing something.
-
Anti-Charm
Isabelle
I sense a magical item with a trace of Martha’s energy at the Manor House Gate. Martha may have taken countermeasures against the Mistress trying to dispel her charms. We need to find an anti-charm. It will tell us what happened at the Manor House Gate.
This egg is a powerful anti-charm. Look, there’s a needle inside. I’m sure the Mistress was furious when she found this anti-charm that Martha created.
-
Bewitching Apple
Valerie
The air at the Manor House Gate is infused with the magic of love. Even I feel it. The poor admirers often knocked on Martha’s door. They asked her to bewitch the Mistress. Of course, Martha refused everyone. Maybe that’s the reason? I saw a Bewitching Apple. Let’s find it.
I know how the apple you found works: until it loses its juice, the victim cannot forget about the enchanter. Look, here is the Mistress’s name. So what happened at the Gate?
-
Evidence as a Gift
Detective
Buddy, it looks like a mystical typhoon swept through the Manor House Gate. Let’s look for clues among the gifts left by the Mistress’s admirers. Perhaps one of them will tell us what weakened Martha’s power? Does anything strike you as odd? I think the Eternal Flower encased in ice looks suspicious.
The note from the unfortunate admirer reads, "This flower is eternal, as is my love." Martha often complained that the Mistress’s admirers interfered with her magical practices.
