In order to defeat the spirit that frightened Juliette, we need to find the lanterns that the City’s magic created to help any newcomers. For a start, look for a golden Portable Lamp: its light scares away evil beings. You can easily recognize it by its elegant form and delicate lemon yellow light.
One beam of light from this lamp will scare away any werewolf or mummy. An indispensable thing for night walks around the City!

I tried to summon the spirit of Howard Case, but I got no response. That gives me hope that the pilot is still alive. The key moment regarding his fate is his disappearance from the falling plane. That’s what I’m focusing on. Assemble all the items you found that represent other turning points in Case’s life - plus a few artifacts.
The thread of Case’s fate leads into uncertainty. I’m trying to pick apart the knots of the key events... I know! The pilot activated a magical item as the plane was falling. And here it is. It’s a single-use teleportation capsule! And it’s been used. Case teleported somewhere at the very last minute.

The aura of the awakened artifact is as strong as the City itself. I close my eyes and look at the plane with an inner gaze, trying to see the iron heart of this man-made bird. Here it is, I’ve got it! No... The airplane’s core is empty!

Hecate’s Sigil is a symbol of the new moon! Of course, that’s the phase the moon was in on New Year’s night. The second factor from the prophecy checks out.

Werewolves broke Case’s calendar when they moved the plane, forever fixing the date... January 1st! Right, it was on New Year’s Eve! When the old year dies, a new one is born. It checks out so far!

I was sure that magic would point us to some technical detail invented by Case for his miraculous plane. But the City decided otherwise. Look, a flight data recorder is appearing on the ritual table! Let’s see inside this "black box..."

Howard Case wanted to build a flying transport giant, but instead used his ideas to increase the capacity of his small, super aircraft.

Case’s experimental airplane needed to remain a secret from his pursuers. He wasn’t going to share his knowledge on how to get to the City. This means that Case’s luggage must contain a model of an invisible aircraft, or scout. Will you find it?
The model shows that the aircraft could hide in the clouds and remain undetectable to any secret service radar. Case beat them because he was a genius inventor.

Innovations

To escape from the secret agents and get to the City of Shadows, Case had to invent something extraordinary and unprecedented. A sealed cabin, autopilot? Without these innovations, he wouldn’t have been able to go beyond human capabilities. Will you look for a model with these innovations?
Judging by this model, Case first wanted to invent a record holding passenger airplane; but in the end, he used his experience to build a machine that took him to the City.

We need to find out what was so special about Case’s secret plane. He saw the City’s mirage high in the clouds and was looking to find it again. This means that his new aircraft needed to fly high and protect the pilot from G-forces. Will you find a high-altitude airplane model?
Judging by this model of a Transcontinental Aircraft, Case planned to fly very high indeed. That means his new plane needed a super-powerful engine.

I’m sure that speed was important to Case’s experimental aircraft. Think about it, he needed to get away from his pursuers... So Case needed to build the fastest plane in the world. Is there a model of a super-fast airplane in his luggage?
Even a miniature model of this high-speed aircraft looks like a bullet. If my car was as fast as a bullet, my fate might’ve been different...

Case’s insidious women were spying on him for various secret services. Intelligence services used a variety of media and encryption methods to transmit their fragmented data. We need to decipher it to find out Case’s fate. I’ve heard that the magic of the City can help in such cases.
I cannot believe it, the City’s magic managed to create a universal decoder! We’ll put all your espionage finds into it and try to learn what the secret service groups found out.

We’ve already found traces of the FBI, as well as British, Soviet and even Chinese intelligence services relating to Case’s ladies. I wonder if they managed to learn something about his search into the City of Shadows? I saw a slide projector with a memorable picture of Karen Halberg here somewhere. Can you find it?
Apparently, Case’s relationship with the talented and modest Karen didn’t work out, because the slide projector contains a secret Danish intelligence camera.

These strange pearls seemed familiar to me right away. This is a Chinese invention. They are used to make the victim fall asleep. Fay went through his things while Case slept.
